“Squad” member Rep. Jamaal Bowman blasted Benjamin Netanyahu as a “maniac” on Saturday while branding the Israeli Prime Minister an obstacle to peace in the Gaza Strip and backing Sen. Chuck Schumer’s call for a new election in Israel.
Bowman (D-NY), who has been a steadfast supporter of a ceasefire in the Israel-Hamas war, said he was “100%” behind Schumer amid the Senate Majority Leader’s calls to have Netanyahu removed from office as the Palestinian death count rises.
“There’s a humanitarian crisis. The majority of Gaza has already been destroyed through acts of collective punishment by this maniac, Benjamin Netanyahu,” Bowman told MSNBC on Saturday.
“I’m 100% with Senator Schumer.

Officials in Albany are searching for the source of an unknown stench — that isn’t coming from the legislature.
The foul odor — described as a ghastly combination of urine and flatulence — has been offending noses across the Capital Region since September.
The state Department of Environmental Conservation was recently enlisted to solve the malodorous mystery.
The aroma’s intensity seems to vary depending on the weather and seems to linger throughout the North Albany neighborhood around the Interstate 787 and Interstate 90 interchange.

Former President Trump reacted to Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador’s threat to the Biden Administration over the southern border.
Trump called out the “lack of respect” foreign leaders have for President Joe Biden on Sunday after Obrador demanded that the United States send Mexico $20 billion a year in taxpayer money to Latin America and the Caribbean to address so-called “root causes” of illegal immigration.
The 2024 presidential frontrunner insisted that he wouldn’t give the Mexican president so much as “ten cents.”
“He said he wants $10 billion essentially just to talk, $10 billion to talk, and that's come out since,

We've seen a lot of bad stories this weekend that seem to have a common theme: people on the left seem on the march to try to stomp on everything that they don't like or find problematic, including things like the White House forbidding religious displays on an Easter egg design contest and proclaiming Easter Sunday "Transgender Visibility Day."
Now comes another story that's also a sign of leftists seemingly trying to stomp on something incredibly important.
Apparently, someone complained about a flag that firefighters had on one of their trucks at Ladder Company 11 in the East Village.

Engineers began carefully removing the first twisted hunk of steel from the collapsed part of Baltimore’s Francis Scott Key Bridge late Saturday, with the help of several massive cranes.
The nearly 50-year-old bridge crashed into the Patapsco River in Maryland on Tuesday, after a massive cargo ship smashed into one of its main supports, killing six construction workers and blocking shipping traffic into the Port of Baltimore.
Sparks could be seen flying from the mangled steel on Saturday as workers tried to cut part of the bridge off. Straps will be attached to the piece before it’s loaded onto a barge and taken away, Coast Guard officials said.

Tens of thousands of American families continue to demand justice for what they believe are the wrongful deaths (murders) of loved ones during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Such justice soon may be coming due in large part to the dedicated efforts of two attorneys in Florida (working pro bono) to thoroughly research the criminal codes of 25 states to identify crimes committed by various high-level officials and organizations prior to and during the COVID-19 pandemic.
One of the attorneys, a former prosecutor, prepared extensive legal briefs (documenting strong evidence of crimes) that have been submitted to the attorneys general of Texas and Florida

I'd like to introduce you to Mohamed Irfaan Ali, President of Guyana.
What he did in the face of climate activism being thrown at him has now gone viral (almost 3 million views on the video below) and it isn't hard to see why.
BBC host Stephen Sackur essentially asked him during an interview isn't it a bad thing for you guys to extract $150 billion of oil and gas off your coast because of the carbon emissions that would ultimately be released into the atmosphere?
Ali's response is just pure gold. He stops Sackur cold and then just rips him a new one. [Video]

An extensive investigation that began in November 2022 targeting an alleged drone-based contraband scheme within Georgia's prisons has resulted in the arrest of 150 individuals, including eight corrections officers. The investigation, dubbed "Operation Skyhawk," uncovered that drones were being used to transport cellphones, drugs, and weapons into Georgia Department of Corrections facilities.
Republican Georgia Governor Brian Kemp's office issued a press release on Thursday stating that a collaboration between the Georgia Department of Corrections (GDC) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Safe Streets Gang Task Force resulted in search and arrest warrants being executed at two sites in the Metro Atlanta area.

NYPD Officer Jonathan Diller's funeral was held on Saturday as his family, friends and many officers came together to honor him at the St. Rose of Lima Church in Massapequa Park, New York.
Diller was allegedly killed by a man with a long rap sheet--21 prior arrests--during a traffic stop in Queens on Monday.
On Thursday, former President Donald Trump attended his wake and visited with the family.
On that same day, Joe Biden also visited New York City, snarling traffic for a fundraiser with celebrities, as well as Barack Obama and Bill Clinton. Biden himself has made no formal statement about the death of the officer,

As illegal immigrants continue to flood the United States under President Joe Biden’s wide-open border, nationwide crime has seen an unprecedented spike.
Pickpocket illegal immigrant gangs are New York City’s latest sleuth of headaches as the Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua and its sidekick, El Salvadoran MS13, are popping up around the city.
The New York Police Department is warning residents to watch out for the sticky-fingered illegals as nearly 100 asylum seekers have already been on the NYPD’s radar.
This week, an NYPD electronic billboard truck drove through the city warning New Yorkers to be aware of their surroundings and belongings as gangs of illegal immigrants exploit the city.

New York City -- "The light's gone from his eyes."
It was 2000, and Sen. Joseph Lieberman, a Democrat from Connecticut, was in full campaign mode. As Al Gore's vice-presidential nominee, Lieberman was preparing to debate Dick Cheney, but Lieberman's son, Matt, was worried about him. He said the words above to Lieberman's wife, Hadassah, who later used them as a wake-up call for her husband.
As Lieberman recounted in his 2011 book, "The Gift of Rest," Matt had been concerned that he was not sleeping, and maybe not praying, as he normally would. Matt had said, "His brain is all there, but his soul isn't coming through," Liberman wrote.

A so-called “transgender” weightlifter sparked backlash after winning a competition against women earlier this month, according to several reports.
The weightlifter, Vicki Piper, competed at the Masters National Championships in Reno, Nevada this month.
Piper’s total combined weights outscored the runner-up by 17 kilograms (via the New York Post):
Piper lifted 123 pounds in the snatch and 156 pounds in the clean and jerk, for a combined 279 pounds, which bested her closest competitor. Krista Dornbush, by a combined 37 pounds, the outlet reported.
The weightlifter celebrated the victory on Instagram, where she wrote: “First National weightlifting meet for me,”
