Sen. Lisa Murkowski, aghast at Donald Trump’s candidacy and the direction of her party, won’t rule out bolting from the GOP.
The veteran Alaska Republican, one of seven Republicans who voted to convict Trump in his second impeachment trial amid the aftermath of January 6, 2021, is done with the former president and said she “absolutely” would not vote for him.
“I wish that as Republicans, we had … a nominee that I could get behind,” Murkowski told CNN. “I certainly can’t get behind Donald Trump.” The party’s shift toward Trump has caused Murkowski to consider her future within the GOP. In the interview, she would not

Neither Lisa or her daddy (a senator who bequeathed his seat to her) were ever R's... In their minds they ARE the royal family of Alaska. At the very least she's a card-carrying Uniparty member but she's really an Undocumented Democrat. That said, may she, Mitch, Cornyn and the rest of their ilk not let the door hit 'em on the way out.

She was censored by the State Repub party...and they did NOT endorse her last campaign. She only held the seat on the basis of newly implemented Ranked Choice Voting.
In 2017, 5 full YEARS before the election, Murkowski filed to run for a fourth term in 2022. Due to her opposition to some of his initiatives and her vote to convict him during his second impeachment trial, former President Donald Trump pledged in June 2020 to campaign against Murkowski, implicitly endorsing a primary challenge in the process. Of the seven Republican senators who voted to convict Trump, Murkowski was the only one up for reelection in 2022. After the second impeachment trial, Alaska's GOP had censured her and demanded her resignation.( Despite Trump's pledge, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell signaled the Republican senators' campaign commitee commitment to back Murkowski's 2022 campaign).
On June 18, 2021, Trump endorsed former Alaska Department of Administration commissioner Kelly Tshibaka for the Senate in 2022, calling her "MAGA all the way".On July 10, 2021, the Alaska Republican Party endorsed Tshibaka. Murkowski won reelection by beating Tshibaka in ranked-choice voting. Murkowski's votes amounted to 53.7% after the ranked-choice tabulation

Just read the first page of Lucianne headlines.
As #7 rightly pointed out, PDJT’s greatest triumph is his expose of how The Swamp runs.
Timing is everything. The madeup charges by the black female thugs in NY and GA.
The timing of the Republican “retirements/resignations” in Congress to give the communists control by November. The other machinations with the Biden Crime Family to get our eyes off of everything.
There no conspiracy “theory” about any of this.
It is orchestrated, planned, and being implemented by The Swamp.
They hate us. They really hate us.

I’ve said it before I will never stop saying it:
Republicans Suck!
Former Democrat who walked away 30 years ago but NEVER EVER would I belong to the loser club.
When TRUMP and MAGA win in November with Black, Latino and youths breaking for TRUMP and MMAGA. , we need to ditch the Republican Party, form the MAGA party and never look back.

Before ranked choice election rules...Murkowski was less than 1000 votes ahead, less than 1% and would have faced a run off...after round one of ranked choice allocations she was only 400votes 0.13% ahead, would have faced a runoff...it wasn't until the third round where the Democrat candidates supporters 2nd/3rd choices were allocated that Murkowski puled ahead

The Senator is supposed to represent her state, and her state has massive oil and natural gas resources which the Democrats are trying to shut down.
Trump is a deal maker, and her best deal will come with President Trump, which will benefit the people of Alaska.

A tiny amount of pain as the seat is open. Then great joy when the Republican Governor of Alaska appoints a real Republican in her place. Every time a showdown comes, Murkowski sides with the dems, for absurd reasons. She can't leave soon enough.

Alaska "Appointment rules" changed after her father, who had that seat, won the Governors race and appointed HER to the seat. Now Governors have to jump through other hoops and only appoint from an approved list.
In her last three elections the state party endorsed or ran someone else, yet she STILL managed to squeak into it.(With Dem and McConnels help)

She took the party's money to get reelected and won in a state that didn't put up a Democrat candidate in the final election. Too bad Alaska is stuck with her for 4 more years. They should change their ranked voting system and get rid of open primaries. They can do it with a Republican governor and legislature, but do they have the will?
