Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) announced Wednesday she’ll force a vote next week on whether to oust Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.), an extraordinary move highlighting the internal turmoil in the GOP.
But it’s also a move that is all but certain to fail after Democratic leaders said they would vote to protect the Speaker from her coup attempt. Forcing a vote on the motion to vacate resolution — which Greene filed against Johnson more than a month ago — will compel the chamber to act on the measure within two legislative days.
“I think every member of Congress needs to take that vote and let the chips fall where they

Johnson has decided to work for Biden, Schumer, Pelosi, and Jeffries rather than the people who gave the GOP a majority specifically to do the exact opposite. May he rot in hell.

That is why I like Rep. Greene.

If Johnson is outsted, they'll "carefully" search and find another "strong reliable conservative", who will turn out to be another Boehner or Ryan, a DC Uniparty Deep State plant in place, pretending to be a "good conservative" until the time comes to unmask and do the bidding of the Deep State while stabbing conservatives in the back.
AGAIN. Rinse, repeat.

Maybe he could redeem himself and come clean about the blackmail, or whatever the cloak and dagger people said to him that made him turn democrat.

President Trump has been quite clear. He does not want Speaker Johnson removed. Apparently Marjorie Taylor Green believes she knows better. If anyone appears to be working for the Democrats it is Ms. Green and the goof balls supporting her. The Republican majority in the House diminished to almost nothing after the bone head Matt Gaetz pulled the same stunt last year. Rep. Green, who of late had been quite sensible, has devolved back into the nuttiness that defined her when she first hit the national stage.

Sounds all well and good but WHO will replace him? Didn't we run into that issue last time and ended up looking like fools! There were several much more conservative candidates who should have been Speaker, but, Nooooo, they were never conservative enough so we ended up with Johnson. Who would want to be Republican Speaker with the threat of being removed every time someone lie Greene gets upset?

Thank you, MTG, for being the only person in the House that will fight to oust a traitor. Conservatives will not get a single victory with Johnson at the helm. Keep losing, or stand with MTG and vote to oust Johnson.

I just can’t find the words to express how incredibly stupid this is. Perhaps we should actually vote in a majority of conservatives before throwing each under the bus. NEWS FLASH!!!!!! Conservatives don’t make up the majority. Thus, they don’t get what they want 100 % of the time. The country has to be governed regardless MTG’s bunched panties.

The dems signal they will stand with Johnson. When the votes are cast, dems will vote for Jeffries, GOP will split votes and Jeffries will be the new Majority Leader. Meet the new boss, same as the old boss. They will continue funding Pelosi's budget and Biden's America Last agenda.

And it's a shame that liberal GOP congresspeople from NY ousted George Santos, a conservative (at least by his voting record) Republican member.

#6, I like the way you think. Wouldn’t it be great for Johnson to come out and spill all the tea? Won’t happen that’s for sure. He believes he is in the right and for the life of me I do not understand such naked delusion. We have a problem in Washington DC. We have the most ruthless power hungry fascists making up the democrat party and have a bunch of soy boys standing in the sidelines wringing their hands. Of course no one wants to go through the chaos that will come with ousting Mike Johnson, but what is the option? Let him remain and facilitate every evil idea the democrats have ever had for this country? How is that good? Blame MTG, but exactly who is behind all of those Republican “retirements”? She had nothing to do with that and the fact that Mike Johnson failed in his duty as Speaker to have a come to Jesus meeting with these traitors says everything about his priorities. We just can’t ignore those planned retirements especially during an election year. We needed a majority and no one could force these fools to stick around? Look at Mike Gallagher’s exit. It was done purely for malice. It was an attack on our Republican majority. Did he get raked over the coals? Nah. Guaranteed he will land a cushy well paying job and will not ever have to take a stand for what is right. I agree this is not an optimum situation with Mike Johnson, but do we really want a democrat ally as Speaker? I am disgusted with these arrogant fools. They are messing with a situation that will have grave consequences when all they had to do is stand firm against the Democrat’s tyranny. My goodness! These men are to be reviled. Does the health of our nation mean nothing to them? Do they honestly believe that there is a point of no return and that we are inches away from it? Far too many republicans are vile, disloyal, self-absorbed fools interested in their own self-preservation and to Hades with the country!

true, mtg must play her cards and clauses calmly and rightly, with great care and attention to detail.
if i understand her correctly, this vote is meant to call out the cloak and dagger uni-stabber-saboteurs.
she knows she well may not be able to oust this latest backstabbing betrayer --foisted upon us,
and into leadership--in the dark of night... a backbencher, out of our sight, w/o disinfecting sunlight.
her purpose, imho, is to shine torchlight on the roaches.
let's see and record the votes of those we voted for to see who runs back to the darkness.
remember. there are many angry insulted offended dems and libertarians, in addition to
the gop's and conservos, who want to see the grift w/ their own eyes .

Frankly, when the CIA and FBI are literally willing to kill people (check with Seth Rich) who cross them, few men are brave enough to stand up to them.

I love that MTG is not a RINO, and the Speaker said one thing and did other, but playing musical chairs with the Speakership shows the country that the conservatives cannot govern.
