Are There Any Limits
to Illegal Immigration?

American Greatness, by Victor Davis Hanson

Original Article

Posted By:earlybird, 4/15/2019 2:14:30 PM

The U.S.-Mexican border is essentially wide open. Why? Because there is a general expectation in Mexico and Latin America that American immigration law is unenforced. Or it is so bizarre that simple illegal entry almost always ensures temporary legal residence, pending an asylum hearing. A scheduled asylum hearing, in turn, is seen by border crossers as a mere formality to be ignored. The popular perception on the border, then, is to stick one foot illegally onto U.S. soil, and, presto, win permanent residence for you and any family members who wish to follow.

And they know the Democrat Progressives are on their side.

I think things can be capped if Trump starts delivering them over to Cher´s, Pelosi´s, and Schumer´s houses. That, instead of mine, as I live in a neighborhood where Pelosi and Schumer have agreed to pay the rent for illegals--I still have to pay mine--looks like and theirs.

The real question is are there any limits to illegalities in the United States? Those of us who play by the rules and obey the laws get punished and those who break the laws get rewarded. This is completely unacceptable and unsustainable.

They know the Republicans won’t really stand up against this invasion. It is intense and it is scary in Texas and I believe we should be calling our Senators and Congressmen that we want them to act on this issue. They want to make everything and anything else a subject for debate.

God help Trump. He needs Solomon-like wisdom.

What´s amazing to me is that so few people realize that we are standing at possibly the most critical crossroads in Western history, where the country we have known and (most of us) loved for 230 years literally hangs in the balance but go on their merry ways, swilling lattes at Starbucks, wearing cheese hats at football games and one-upping each other on social media with the newest Kardashian emoji. Sleep well, America, the alarm is about to jangle and you gonna be "woke."

No, there are no limits, no rules, no worries, no problems. Anybody, anytime, anywhere. Except LA. Cher wants you to go someplace else. Yes, she is for the poor immigrant who unlawfully entered the US. Just go somewhere else. You are too expensive to mess with. She can´t be bothered. Hollywood privilege you know.

FTA: "In sum, either when Mexico resembles California, Texas, Arizona, or New Mexico, or when these border states resemble Mexico, then illegal immigration will likely cease."

While VDH briefly mentions Central Americans, he seems to postulate that today´s invaders are primarily from Mexico and makes no mention of the Africans, Middle Easterners, or the citizens of over 40 other foreign nations, many of them hostile to the U.S. Like other conservative authors on the topic, he assumes that Americans can only hunker down and hope that our elected politicians can somehow stem the tide.

Conservative authors seldom offer alternatives to passiveness in the face of invasion, although history provides many examples of invaders being repelled by force. Perhaps VDH believes that the American people are incapable of using force to defend our homeland, even though many thousands of us have been sent to kill communists and terrorists in other countries. Now we are expected to sit idly by while communists in our own government succor foreign invaders by the millions. That is a huge disconnect that is seldom, if ever, mentioned in conservative articles.

It´s not that laws are unenforced. It´s the dirty laws passed by congress and then there´s all those libtard judges reinterpreting those very same laws. Voters were dumber than a door knob to put Piglosi and her commie cabal in charge of the House just as Republicans were utterly stupid to put Ryan in charge of the House. Since non-politician President Trump has done so much for the country, it´s time voters put more non-politicians into office and get rid of all these corrupt politicians in 2020.

So many good comments. Americans understand the problem and know the solution. It is not a difficult one. It only requires the will to implement it. Ask the average American and he/she can articulate it easily. Ask the average Republican politician and they will hem and haw and rarely come up with the correct solution because they must first seek approval from their donors. The health of the country is immaterial compared to the wishes of their sugar daddies. We are urged to call and write these bought and paid for clowns by some but have learned that does little to light a fire under them. We are ignored for the most part and some openly ridicule us. Donor dollars speak much louder than any constituent.

#8, Makes an important point. Americans will not let this country be destroyed by the radical left, greedy right, and apathetic fools who refuse to acknowledge the very real danger we are facing through unchecked illegal invasions. There will come a time when Americans will step up and do what the politicians refuse to do. God help us if it comes to that, but we will not lose this country because the American people lack the will to do what is right and best.

The limit is ZERO and our government has been failing us for decades. They turned a blind eye when apple pickers and chicken processors crossed the border, worked the season and then took their money home. Cheap labor was irresistable. They eventually learned that they could stay here permanently and then bring in their families. The whole mess is OUR fault but then you knew that.

It is for sure that the leftist and liberal Democrats want the borderline to remain insecure and for mass uncontrolled illegal immigration to continue, both by way of intending illegal aliens unlawfully walking across the borderline into the USA, and by overstaying temporary visa time limits.

Another sure thing is that the leftist and liberal Democrats want as many poor, uneducated, and socialist minded foreign peoples, both in the USA illegally and as immigrants to be directed to Republican leaning States and congressional districts to permanently change the future voter demographics in those areas to increase the chances of Democrats winning elections there, to transform the USA into becoming a socialist utopia, by driving the clueless Republicans into political oblivion whose only interest in immigration matters has been how much cheap foreign labor that mass immigration is generating for their business supporters to hire at as low a wage as possible.

Progressive organizations, many financed by billionaire activist George Soros, are working overtime to restore voting rights for Florida’s nearly 1.4 million ex-felons as the nation’s biggest swing state seems poised to play a pivotal electoral role in the 2020 presidential race. The current battle revolves around a Florida state amendment that was passed last year restoring voting rights for felons, with progressive groups opposing a local bill that would require the state’s ex-felons to first pay civil fines and court fees before registering to vote. Florida’s Amendment Four was approved by voters during last year’s Midterm election.

For all of the rhetoric about our supposed liberal international order, the world is more chaotic and unstable than it has been since World War II. Disorder reigns. And for the technocratic, democratic globalist elites in the West, this disorder can only be repaired with the right combination of U.S. tax dollars, the blood of American servicemen and women, and a desire to remake entire societies in our image (or, at least, in the distorted image of postmodern, Western elites). Yet, with each new U.S. intervention, we have detached the use of military force from serious national interests

The release of the Mueller report has left Democrats in a dilemma. For consider what Robert Mueller concluded after two years of investigation. Candidate Donald Trump did not conspire or collude with the Russians to hack the emails of the DNC or John Podesta. Trump did not distribute the fruits of those crimes. Nor did anyone in his campaign. On collusion and conspiracy, said Mueller, Trump is innocent. Mueller did not say Trump did not consider interfering with his investigation. The truth of violations of law by the Obama White House, long buried, is being excavated by two private groups. Judicial Watch has obtained testimony from a top FBI official that Hillary home brew server emails were found in the White House. This means that Barrack Obama’s illegal handling of classified information contained in those emails is closer to being exposed. This implicates him in the same felonies committed by Hillary Clinton that James Comey falsely claimed “no reasonable prosecutor” would pursue.
