Americans should expect, at a minimum, to have elections that are free and fair, and results that are delivered promptly. But California is taking its laid-back reputation too far, failing to deliver its election results in a timely manner and creating the perception that they are neither free nor fair.
Slothful election results have plagued California for years since it made wholesale changes to its election system in 2016. It has mass mail-in ballots that can be counted post-election and allows for an extremely slow pace of counting.
Proponents of the system say this makes their elections more “secure” and accessible.

A Marine Corps veteran fought off a group of teens who tried to carjack him at gunpoint in broad daylight in Maryland.
Jheyco Borda was working on his truck in Oxon Hill — about 10 miles outside Washington, DC — when four hooded teens approached him around 4:45 p.m. Tuesday, surveillance video posted to his Facebook page shows.
“Be careful and be aware of your surroundings,” Borda warned in the caption. [Video]
The teens surrounded Borda at the bed of his truck while one suspect — who was wearing a red, white and blue sweatshirt — pulled out a pistol and pointed it at the veteran’s head,

When the New York Times spoke with Lyndsey Fifield about her experiences with Graham Platner, the paper made promises. Representatives of the paper said they would protect her, that men couldn't keep getting away with it. They collected her diary pages, her screenshots, her contacts, and walked away with everything she had. Then they published their story.
The story they published was damning, but, according to Fifield, they omitted the most serious allegation.
Fifield had every reason to stay quiet. She described her current life as genuinely good, raising two young daughters in a safe neighborhood, working from home, active in her church, and surrounded by close friends and family.

More than two decades ago, the leader of the National Socialist Party of America decided he wanted out of the white nationalist movement. The leader approached the Southern Poverty Law Center, which has positioned itself as the nation’s preeminent watchdog of “hate,” and for helping people get out of such groups.
The individual was out of money and no longer wanted to be a part of the movement. But, instead of helping the individual break free, the SPLC had something else in mind.
The organization allegedly offered him a monthly salary funneled through a fictitious entity to maintain the extremist organization,

I remember the scene on the Senate floor. The occasion was the vote to repeal the Affordable Care Act—Obamacare. It came down to John McCain, who hated Donald Trump with a burning passion eclipsing common Trump Derangement Syndrome. As one of his final acts on this Earth, McCain, aping every corrupt, movie Roman Emperor, raised his thumb and ominously, slowly, grinning like an evil lunatic, turned it thumbs down. Obamacare—arguably Obama’s most expensive destructive legacy-- was saved, and not because it has ever worked. McCain saved it out of spite.
That was only one of Obama’s destructive legacies. Jon Gabriel’s classic Twitter post sums up another:

As Americans paying attention—that would include American Thinker readers—know, the media has cherished narratives it defends with mama bear fierceness. Among those narratives is the existence of wide-spread islamophobia. When Islamists attack Jews and others on college campuses, the media wails about the dangers of islamophobia. And when people with Muslim names are attacked, the same wailing rises to mosque tops. Such a horrific hate crime recently took place in Minneapolis, where a Muslim was murdered—oh, the humanity!--[snip] surely a white guy and probably a Jew!—killing an innocent Muslim, and on a Muslim holy day to boot!

The detainees inside Delaney Hall detention center claim they are on a hunger strike due to the alleged conditions there. However, it’s not really a hunger strike—they’re eating Doritos and Honey Buns. Moreover, Jennie Taer from Daily Wire reported that it’s even more elaborate, with sushi and shellfish on the menu. It’s all just a show, which you’ve probably figured out from the start (via Daily Wire): [Tweets]
"Detainees who are said to be on a “hunger strike” inside ICE’s Delaney Hall detention center are actually stocking up on snacks from the commissary, including sushi, clams, sausage, and other elevated offerings,

At the end of the day, you won’t find a more envious, petty, bitter, and catty bunch of people than liberal women. When they’re not feeding their cats, they’re online, often wasting what little time we all have on this earth following the lives of people they detest — people who are actively living their own lives, like Karoline Leavitt.
That would explain why the White House press secretary, who is on maternity leave, has the liberal “Karens” all tied in knots over her social posts about things like recipes, healthy eating, and motherhood.

Sixty-seven minutes elapsed between the time Henry Nowak was stabbed by Vickrum Digwa and his death, on December 3 last year, in Southampton, England.
Sixty-seven minutes when his life could have been saved were it not for the incompetence and institutional corruption of the British police and the clannishness and cunning of an Indian Sikh family who knew just how to exploit those weaknesses to paint themselves, fatally, as the victims.
By claiming the stabbing was really a racist attack against the stabber himself, the entire Digwa family ensured Henry Nowak would die.
Instead of taking the victim’s anguished cries seriously as he lay bleeding to death—“I’ve been stabbed”:

The political committee of Democratic Senator Chris Murphy — himself well versed in the "Resistance" talking points against Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) — is dedicated to resisting President Donald Trump and has funded a prominent left-wing nonprofit that has been at the center of highly organized, “mass mobilization” anti-ICE protests around the country.
Murphy’s newly rebranded Political Action Committee, American Mobilization, donated $100,000 last year to Indivisible, a progressive movement and organization formed in the wake of Trump’s first election in 2016 and dedicated to resisting the Trump agenda, Federal Election Commission records for the PAC show.

Downing Street has hit out at "people trying to interfere in our democracy and seeking to stir up division", after JD Vance's comments on the murder of Henry Nowak.
The US vice-president blamed the death of the 18-year-old British student, who was fatally stabbed last year in Southampton by Vickrum Digwa, on the "mass invasion of migrants" and said the "only response" was "righteous anger".
After the post on X, the Downing Street spokesman said the Nowak family had "said they do not want his death to be used to create further division".

Another media global warming team has been terminated, this time the National Public Radio climate desk. This is what happens when “journalists” keep reporting about a dead horse. Eventually, the public realizes the horse has perished, and there’s nothing left to talk about. Or that there was no horse to begin with.
NPR is the third media outlet to rein in its diehard band of Democratic Party scribes dedicated to exaggerating climate fears, following the Washington Post and CBS News. The former was sawed roughly in half while the latter was, to our grand delight, “gutted.”
