The federal verdict is in, but the local fallout from Spokane’s June 2025 protests against Immigration and Customs Enforcement is still playing out, with another trial set for August 10. A jury panel on Thursday convicted Justice Forral, Jac Archer and Bajun Mavalwallla II of conspiracy to impede or injure federal agents, nearly a year after protests at an ICE facility led to dozens of arrests. The three defendants were among nine protesters indicted by the Trump administration a month after the protest last year. The other six people have already pleaded guilty

Convicted, if some damned other federal judge doesn't dismiss the charges. Six years max sentence seems pretty light to me.

If the penalty is not at least two years in the slammer, they will just go out and do it again.

Since all aliens who are either illegally and legally in the USA, defined in the Federal immigration laws as anyone not a citizen or national of the USA, are required to abide by the US immigration laws, any such alien who is found taking part in violent demonstrations or riots aimed at assaulting or making threats against US Immigration Officers, their families, or to obstruct the US Immigration Laws should be immediately identified, be arrested by Federal Authorities, be detained, be given a deportation hearing in a Federal Immigration Court, and upon being found to be a deportable alien, be deported from the USA!

Lets apply this to the protestors in NJ. Until the punishment and associated fines cost more than the Soros NGOs are paying protestors, the issue will continue.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit released an order last week concerning a judicial misconduct complaint against a federal district judge. (snip) While federal judges are rarely subject to state bar discipline, it does happen. If the subject judge remains a member of a State Bar, any attorney could file a formal complaint. (snip) The House Judiciary Committee could hold oversight hearings on judicial conduct reform, using the case as its central exhibit (snip) Mike Davis, founder and president of the Article III Project, went further, arguing that the judge should “face federal criminal prosecution for lying to federal investigators.”

There is a bizarre controversy out of the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, where a federal judge has been reprimanded for engaging in repeated, loud sexual encounters during office hours in chambers with a police officer. (snip) Ironically, among the clues about the judge’s identity, the order mentions that the judge attended the “victory party for a District Attorney” in 2024, the night before “the judge’s summer interns’ first day.” The Georgia primary was on May 21, 2024, and the date coincides with the victory party for Fani Willis,

A federal judge on Thursday cleared the way for President Donald Trump to implement his executive order tightening mail-in voting, slapping down Democrats’ arguments for now that federal efforts to police voter rolls with citizenship checks was illegal. U.S. District Judge Carl Nichols, a Trump appointed jurist, ruled that Democrats failed to show they have standing at present to challenge the order or have suffered any harm that would warrant a preliminary injunction.

CBS unexpectedly defended its decision to pull "The Late Show With Stephen Colbert" off air, revealing in a statement Thursday that the show was losing approximately $40 million a year. (snip) the program was merely being replaced with two back-to-back episodes of Byron Allen’s “Comics Unleashed” instead. Allen's program is a "time buy," meaning that Allen is paying CBS $15 million to rent the air time, but will keep all ad revenue for himself. (snip) “With this ‘time buy’ model, we have shifted an hour that was losing roughly $40 million annually to $15 million in profit — a $55 million swing.”

The Justice Department is reportedly investigating whether E. Jean Carroll, an 82-year-old former magazine writer who accused President Donald Trump of sexual assault, committed perjury in civil lawsuits against the president. Carroll accused Trump in a civil case of sexually assaulting her in a Manhattan department store dressing room in 1996 and later defaming her by dismissing her claims as a “hoax.”

Marco Polo’s Garrett Ziegler has identified the “sitting” federal district court judge found to have committed judicial misconduct, perhaps most notably, for having sex in her chambers. Ziegler concisely reports the facts and identifies “the subject judge,” as the Eleventh Circuit Judicial Council Order gingerly puts it, or “the Subject Judge,” as the 20-page memorandum attached to the Order gingerly puts it. Ziegler has identified Judge Eleanor Ross of the Northern District of Georgia as the Subject Judge. More cautiously, Josh Blackman comes to the same conclusion via a longer and more detailed route here. Professor Blackman has sought a response from Judge Ross

A federal district judge has been disciplined for having extramarital sex with a law enforcement officer inside the judge's chambers during business hours, according to several news reports. A special committee for the Eleventh Circuit on Friday found the judge, who isn’t named, "demonstrated a gross lack of judgment." Clerks could overhear the intercourse taking place, which was "extremely uncomfortable and troubling" for them, according to Bloomberg Law. The affair exposed the judge to risks of extortion since his or her spouse wasn't aware of the affair.

Sen. Bernie Sanders, a self-described democratic socialist from Vermont, has spent nearly $608,000 on private jets, chauffeured cars, and upscale hotels since last year through his campaign fund, an investigation by The Center Square found. Sanders is barnstorming the country on his "Fighting Oligarchy" tour, a series of rallies aimed at opposing President Trump and supporting economic populism. To defray its cost, he is raising and spending money through his principal campaign committee, Friends of Bernie Sanders. Even as Sanders rails against billionaires' political clout and economic inequality, his committee has relied on elite trappings more commonly associated with the wealthy.

We reported earlier on Saturday on Jill Biden's remarks about Hunter's pardon, and they truly did beggar belief as she tried to blame President Donald Trump for Joe Biden going back on his word not to pardon his son. Indeed, she claimed he had to do it because they were fearful Hunter would be targeted by Trump. That took some kind of gall, after the lawfare efforts against Trump for years. Jill also got a lot of backlash for saying she had never seen anything like Joe's confusion during the debate before or since, claiming she thought he was having a stroke or medical issue. We often hear and read about men brutalizing women, and it is a national disgrace that so many women live their lives in terror. But there’s another type of battering I’ve witnessed, albeit not nearly as often: women brutalizing men. While working a tour in Brooklyn one night, my partner and I were summoned to an apartment to handle an assault in progress. When we arrived and climbed a few flights of stairs, we heard moaning sounds coming from behind an open door of one of the rooms. Other occupants
