Woke bills could spring NY’s worst killers,

Some of the most infamous killers in history, including John Lennon assassin Mark David Chapman and “Son of Sam” serial murderer David Berkowitz, could soon be freed if Albany passes a pair of woke parole bills, critics warn. The Elder Parole bill would let violent criminals dodge their minimum sentences, regardless of how heinous their crimes, and be granted early parole hearings after they’ve turned 55 and served 15 years of their sentences. A second lefty measure, the Fair and Timely Parole bill, would require the state parole board to release convicts regardless of the severity of their crimes unless they are a “current” danger to the public

The thing that killed John Lennon is only alive because prison protected him. He will be released into a whole world of people he hurt who hate him. Some of those wish him dead. I'm one of them.

This would be fine with me if we could build a wall around NYC a la "Escape From New York". Unfortunately, some of these monsters will spread to the rest of the country. These two don't particularly worry me. It's the stupid leftist judges releasing violent thugs every day to murder and rob innocent people. Chapman and Berkowitz are amateurs compared to the ones engaged in daily slaughter every day. Chicago alone collects more bodies every week than they were responsible for.

An NYPD captain who was transferred to a less desirable role after being caught on video bashing NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani as “an embarrassment” has become a veritable folk hero with an army of supporters backing him for speaking his mind about the radical socialist. Republican pols and other high-ranking conservatives are now taking up Capt. James G. Wilson’s cause, and defending his Constitutional rights. They say the department’s decision to ship Wilson from the 94th Precinct in Brooklyn – where he served as the second-highest officer for the Greenpoint station house –

Former “Access Hollywood” host Billy Bush said Thursday that former reality star Spencer Pratt, a Republican running to become mayor of Los Angeles, was “relentless” in Tuesday’s debate with incumbent Mayor Karen Bass (D). Bush told NewsNation’s Chris Cuomo that he was initially “suspect” of Pratt debating Bass and Los Angeles City Council member Nithya Raman, a progressive who launched a late bid for mayor in February. Here’s the thing about Spencer Pratt, he was relentless,” Bush said. “He kept going and he kept going, and the guy has credibility, right? In the continuing Iran conflict, voices on both sides of the American political spectrum have made the claim that the mullahs can score a strategic victory by merely surviving, especially if they can do so while retaining a semblance of control over the Strait of Hormuz. If these observers are right that Iran’s victory would not be “military” but “strategic,” one need not look far back in American history to find a precedent. At the start of the Korean War in June 1950, North Korean communists under the control of Kim Il-Sung crossed the 38th Parallel and attacked South Korea. Armed and encouraged by the Soviet Union,
Abraham Lincoln: Conservative And Pragmatist 2 replies

In the modern imagination, Abraham Lincoln is a figure so overexposed that he risks becoming invisible. His face is carved into mountains, printed on currency, and invoked with ritualistic reverence by politicians who would scarcely recognize the discipline of mind that animated him. Yet beneath the marble stillness lies a moral and intellectual temperament that is, by contemporary standards, almost alien: austere, rational, cautious, and yet quietly aflame with conviction. To recover Lincoln as a moral beacon and a conservative thinker is not merely an antiquarian exercise. It is an indictment of our own age, which confuses noise for thought, fervor for principle, and rupture for reform.

An ugly internal power struggle in Iran is muddying mediation talks with the US, as pro-war and pro-deal factions battle it out over whether Tehran should ever surrender, sources familiar with mediation efforts tell The Post. Though Iran’s political elites — including its president, foreign minister and parliamentary speaker — have been at the center of efforts to hammer out peace terms, regional sources told The Post that it’s Iran’s military leadership that ultimately has the power to accept or reject any agreement. “One faction there right now is at its highest point ever in its history — the IRGC,” a source told The Post.

No matter how bizarre or puzzling or impossibly complex crime scenes seemed to be, the detective Sherlock Holmes, accompanied by his friend Dr. John Watson — both fictional characters created by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle in the late 1800s — never failed to solve them. Using keen observation — actually noting teeny, tiny, sometimes microscopic details that eluded even the sleuths at Scotland Yard — as well as the forensic science of the day, Holmes astounded the experts and ultimately became one of the most popular figures in all of literature...to this day!

On April 23, the US Treasury Department announced that the IRS plans to revise Form 990—the annual information return filed by tax-exempt organizations—to improve transparency and strengthen oversight, specifically targeting reporting on government contracts, government grants, and fiscal sponsorship arrangements. The stated goals are to detect misconduct and hold wrongdoers accountable. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent put the matter bluntly: “We are ending the days of hiding fraud, abuse, and extremist activity behind complicated nonprofit arrangements. When bad actors misuse charitable structures, directors and officers should understand that transparency can lead to scrutiny, accountability, and liability under the law.”

A Frontier Airlines plane aborted takeoff after it struck a person on a runway at Denver International Airport late Friday, a spokesperson for the carrier and the Federal Aviation Administration told CNN. Flight 4345, an Airbus A321, was departing from Denver en route to Los Angeles and carried 224 passengers and 7 crew members, Frontier Airlines said in a statement. It was scheduled to depart at 10:39 p.m. local time. As the plane was departing, “the aircraft reportedly struck a pedestrian on the runway during takeoff,” the airline said. “Smoke was reported in the cabin and the pilots aborted takeoff. Passengers were then safely evacuated via slides as a matter of precaution.”

Of the five candidates originally invited, three are still slated to appear: Councilwoman Nithya Raman, businessman Adam Miller, and community advocate Rae Huang. The Bass campaign defended the decision by pointing to her recent debate schedule, noting she debated her "top two opponents twice this week."

It's incredibly demoralizing to law-abiding, rule-following, normal Americans to watch Democrats publicly commit crimes without ever getting in trouble for it. I’m not talking about the indictments and prosecutions of high-level Democrats on charges that may or may not hold up in court — the Jim Comeys and Letitia Jameses. These prosecutions may or may not be at least partly politically motivated, but Democrats will always think that's all they were. And the refined legal arguments for conviction stand little chance of success in leftist jurisdictions like Washington and New York. I’m talking about Democrat politicians who knowingly flout the law, brazenly and openly, on video for all to see.

The U.S. media has tabled a question that warrants examining two 20th-century historical events. The question asked is whether U.S. credibility in deterring Iran’s mullahs and getting them to toe the line has been weakened by critics such as comedian Jimmy Kimmel and politicians who mock or otherwise criticize President Donald Trump’s actions against Tehran. The first historical event involves a battle of the Cold War, fought against the Soviet Union on February 22, 1980. While this battle resulted in American blood being shed, it was not due to a military conflict but to an athletic one.

Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy confirmed that the shocking accident Friday night in which one individual was killed and more than a dozen more injured was the result of a deliberate trespass on the part of the dead man. Duffy’s conclusion was to warn people not to trespass at airports, because, of course, they are not prepared for random people to run suddenly across runways. But frankly, I think if someone deliberately managed to penetrate that far into an airport as a breach, and walked right out in front of an airplane in takeoff sequence, the person was either on drugs or suicidal.
