Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson drew fire from an unlikely colleague on Tuesday over her lone dissent in the Supreme Court’s 8-1 decision finding Colorado’s ban on so-called "conversion therapy" for minors violated free speech rights. Fellow liberal Justice Elena Kagan criticized Jackson for failing to acknowledge case law that governs when speech can be regulated in the medical field, marking a rare public break between two justices typically aligned in cases centered on high-profile cultural issues. "Justice Jackson’s dissenting opinion claims that this is a small, or even nonexistent, category," Kagan wrote in a footnote of a concurring opinion, which

Jackson votes based upon her personal views and feelings, not the rule of law. I doubt if she has ever read the Constitution. Even Kagan and Sotomayor think she should go back to law school and pay attention this time.

What's most startling here is that Jackson has the brain capacity to pen a 35-page dissenting opinion...I'm sure it was all gobbledygook and to add insult to injury, she read it aloud to torment everyone else in the chamber.

Her law clerks wrote it, and reading it aloud was probably the first time she saw it. We should be impressed that she could read.

Re #5, I seriously doubt that Jackson wrote that 55 page dissent. She has a bunch of clerks, and certainly they are all smarter than she is, and probably carefully selected for extreme leftist views. I'm sure that she talked to a couple of them, they wrote the dissent and she, perhaps, edited it a bit and then signed it. I'm sure that most of her law education involved similar examples of handing in someone else's work. She's far too stupid to have gotten thru law school honestly.

A CNN reporter was left stunned after security checkpoint wait times dropped from hours to minutes at a major Atlanta airport following President Trump’s deployed ICE agents to assist unpaid TSA agents. Senior National Correspondent Ryan Young reported in disbelief that the presence of unmasked immigration agents at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport sparked a dramatic shift, with travelers zipping through security after weeks of grueling lines amid the partial government shutdown. “Wolf, I almost can’t believe I’m able to say this, the times have dropped off tremendously this morning,” Young told anchor Wolf Blitzer Tuesday morning from inside the major

A California gubernatorial debate was canceled just hours before it was set to occur on Tuesday after mounting criticism that only white candidates in the crowded field had qualified for the event. The criteria to participate in the debate, which was set to be co-sponsored by the University of Southern California and the Los Angeles TV station KABC, had emerged in recent days as a source of controversy in the wide-open race to replace Gov. Gavin Newsom. The sprawling field includes eight prominent Democrats and two major Republicans, as well as several other lesser-known candidates. USC had faced condemnation for

Washington — The Senate confirmed Markwayne Mullin as secretary of the Department of Homeland Security on Monday, finalizing President Trump's shakeup of DHS following months of scrutiny of Kristi Noem's leadership. In a 54-45 vote, the Senate confirmed Mullin, an Oklahoma Republican who's been in the Senate since 2023. Democratic Sens. The recent massive U.S. strike near Iran’s central city of Isfahan likely sought to render Tehran’s remaining highly enriched uranium stockpile inaccessible by burying it deep underground — a strategy that would negate the need for a prolonged and risky U.S. ground operation to extract the material, according to an Israeli military analyst writing Tuesday. Writing in Ynet on Tuesday, Israeli military analyst Ron Ben-Yishai — a veteran Yediot Ahronot correspondent and Israel Prize recipient — assessed that the strike reflects a deliberate U.S. effort to neutralize Iran’s enriched uranium stockpile by entombing it beneath rock, soil, and collapsed tunnel infrastructure rather than attempting to remove it by force.
