As only TV personality and host Mike Rowe can, he embodied what makes America great. The American Dream is not just about a certain achievement like buying a home or being promoted to a particular vocation: It's about the opportunity to dream big and aspire to higher things — or just different ones.
Of course, Rowe's incredibly insightful commentary, which he posted to X on Sunday, was born from unfunny comedian Jimmy Kimmel's joke that maligned the fact that a plumber — that would be former plumber, former U.S. Senator from Oklahoma, and current Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security Markwayne Mullin

And anyway, Senator Mullen is worth $65 million after selling the family business he built up.

Little Jimmy needs a plumber to fix all the cr@p coming out of his mouth. That floater has never run anything but his mouth.

The original plan: Citizens were to go to government serve a term and go home. I called a Talk Show host and wished for that. He thought that wouldn't give them a chance to learn the ropes! I thought, that's the idea.

Maybe it's just me but Kimmel insulting a plumber after supporting Willie Brown's blow queen was to me the height of ignorance.
Plumber's, Electricians, Carpenters, all are jobs that require expertise, much more expertise that making unfunny and ignorant, biased remarks on a television show.

Patiently waiting for one of Kimmel's homes to require a plumber. Hopefully, a plumber who remembers what he said.

I think Mike Rowe should ask the network for time to debate Jimmy The Dumb. Mr. Rowe would skewer him.

Jesus started as a carpenter then became Savior of the world. I wonder if Kimmel disapproves?

Havre to wonder what Kimmel did (if anything), before failing at comedy. Obviously nothing requiring capacity of thought. Probably just a smart azz living in momma’s basement.

Comedians are supposed to be funny; the brittle Jimmy Kimmel isn't. He's consumed by TDS. So what skills does Jimmy have, besides being an arsewipe? If he had plumbing skills, maybe he'd be good for something. But noooooo. What can Jimmy really do? Keith Richards once said that playing the guitar was what he was good at, and that "I wouldn't make a very good plumber." Keef has always known his limitations, one ingredient in wisdom. He's the real deal. Knowing oneself isn't as easy as it looks if one is a phony all the time like Jimmy.

Among his four companies, as CEO of Mullins Plumbing, he was being paid a salary $600,000 per year at the time of its sale.

Mullen left college after two years to take over the family business. Kimmel dropped out of college after two years because he couldn't hack it.

Henry Ford started off working in a machine shop. Walt Disney began as a humble cartoonist. Walter Knott owned a modest berry farm. When Mullin took over his family plumbing business after college, it had six employees. Mullin Plumbing, Inc. became the largest plumbing company in Oklahoma. Congratulations to the "plumber," who has joined the ranks of the machinist, cartoonist, and the farmer as another great American success story.

Slightly correct the author. Jimmy Kimmel LIVES in his little elite box.
I grew up on a ranch and was a cowboy until I traded my cowboy boots in for engineer boots. While in college I worked in various blue-collar positions and no one thought the less of me.
I worked in high tech in Silicon Valley until the 2000-1 tech wreck. I was laid off and after floating around the valley for years, I learned a trade that was hard to export - aircraft technician. I was gainfully employed as an A&P for two months, after 2 years of A&P school, then went to school for 3 months to get my Avionics Line Maintenance Certificate. After that was done, I networked my way back into engineering in Silicon Valley, and no one ever thought the less of me for learning a trade.

I'd gladly vote for Mike Rowe to be president. Good common sense, plus smart as a whip. He's all things non funny little Jimmy Kimmel is not.
