Spain denies US permission to use its
military bases to attack Iran

Original Article

Spain has denied the US permission to use their shared bases to launch attacks against Iran. The country's socialist Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez condemned Israel and the US for striking Iran and killing Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Foreign Minister José Manuel Albares said Spain wanted 'democracy, freedom and fundamental rights for the Iranian people', but it would not allow its bases to be used in the ongoing military action. The decision puts Spain at odds with its European partners including the UK, France and Germany, who on Sunday said they would defend their interests in the region through defensive action to destroy Iran's capability to fire missiles and drones.

Comments:

That government still operates under the Francisco Franco model.

Spain was conquered by islam in about 711 or so. It has never recovered. The islams tried to invade Gaul (France) and was defeated by Charles 'the Hammer' Martel at the battle of Tours. Islam tried several times to invade Europe, most notable at the siege of Vienna. A Christian Polish army went down and routed the much larger islam army and that stopped their intentions to control Europe. Islam was the 7th beast of the Bible and they were subdued and defeated. Now, islam is the reconstituted 8th beast. Whats also important in history is the Columbus wasnt just sailing around to get more spices for his food. One of his stated intentions was to find a route to surprise the islams during the Crusades and defeat them by a rear action. THE US HAS ALWAYS BEEN AT WAR WITH ISLAM. Our very first war in 1801 - 1805 was against islam (Barbary Priates) in Northern Africa. We are still fighting the 8th beast in wars. But Trump has to do the right thing and stop islam immigration and send their invasion force back to hell. Trump needs to finally proclaim that CAIR and Muslim Brotherhood are terrorist organizations.

When we have successfully cleansed Iran from the evil leadership they have endured for nearly half a century (Thanks to Jimmy Carter), it is time to give a fair assessment to the +/- of our foreign bases. Do our military really NEED the 750 such bases that we currently operate? If we really don't need them, and if the host country is not cooperative toward the US, then we should pack up and leave. We should also advise NATO that they need to expel all member countries that have not met NATO's defense spending targets for the past ten years, and demand that they correct this disparity (fully addressing all missed payments for the past five years), or continue without the USA. Perhaps it is time to scrap the alliance package deals and undertake one-on-one mutual defense treaties with each individual country. There are over 750 foreign military bases operated by the US--

Well when the dust clears on the latest war with radical Islam, if there are any US military installations left in Spain, the USA should tell Spain goodbye as far maintaining any existing US military based in Spain. Unfortunately if the leftist Democrats control the Congress and the White House in the future they would never do that, it is much more likely that they would invite Spain to send as many foreign origin Islamists who are now ensconced in Spain to the USA so they could be covertly transformed into future leftist Democrat supporters and voters.

None of the EU NATO nations will ever help the US. They're all afraid of having missiles lobed their way. In other words, they're cowards. The US has been protecting Europe since post WWII, yet when we need them, they're not there for us. It really is time to dump NATO, and let Europe survive on their own. The US owes them nothing. All we want from them is to station military bases on their soil - for their protection, and ours. I have no doubt if the US cast NATO aside and let Europe drift away, they'd immediately run to China for help. That's how ignorant they are of their surroundings.

The US has delivered “overwhelming and unprecedented” strikes into Iran in the first 100 hours of "Operation Epic Fury", the US commander in charge of combat operations in the region said. To put things in perspective, Admiral Brad Cooper said the initial 24 hours of the February 28 Iran strikes were double the scale of “Shock-and-Awe” strikes on 2003 in Iraq. “We continue with 24/7 strikes into Iran from seabed to space and cyberspace,” Cooper said. "In simple terms, we're focused on shooting all the things that can shoot at us... We're also sinking the Iranian Navy, the entire navy."

The UK has agreed to a US request to use British military bases for "defensive" strikes on Iranian missile sites, Sir Keir Starmer has said. But the prime minister said the UK had learned lessons from the "mistakes of Iraq", and was not involved in the initial strikes on Iran and "will not join offensive action now". Sir Keir said the basis of the decision to accept the US request was the "collective self-defence" of allies and protecting British lives, accusing Iran of pursuing a "scorched-earth strategy". The BBC understands the US is likely to use RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire and Diego Garcia in the Indian Ocean for strikes on Iranian missile sites.

A site in Iraq that is associated with the Iranian-backed militias has reportedly been struck amid the clashes that have broken out between the US, Israel, and Iran. Shafaq News in Iraq “reported that a security source and another in the Popular Mobilization Forces reported on Saturday that an Israeli missile strike targeted the headquarters of the Popular Mobilization Forces in the Jurf al-Sakhr area, specifically targeting the headquarters of Kataib Hezbollah.” This apparently happened on Saturday morning in the context of US and Israeli strikes on Iran. Iran has retaliated with attacks across the region. Kataib Hezbollah is an Iraqi militia closely linked to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.

Iraq expects the US transfer of ISIS detainees from Syria to Iraq to end on February 12, Iraq’s Justice Minister Khaled Shwani told Kurdish channel Rudaw. This is an important accomplishment. In two weeks, around 7,000 ISIS detainees were expected to be moved from Syria to Iraq in a mission that US Central Command undertook in January. The move was due to changes on the ground in Syria. The US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces gave up control of most of eastern Syria, including around 30 ISIS detention facilities, to the Syrian government in January. Iraq says it will investigate the detainees and charge those who are criminals, and try to repatriate

Four hours later, Hegseth’s troops were pounding Iran in an intricate series of strikes that left its evil regime reeling. The response to French — who has not withdrawn his sneer — was unsympathetic. My favorite: “Let’s have a contest … you and Pete show up at Fort Bragg, see who the troops respect more.”
