Full disclosure: I did not watch the Bad Bunny halftime show. The hosts of the Super Bowl party I attended provided several televisions in multiple rooms, a couple of which ran the NBC feed at halftime, with the rest running the Turning Point USA YouTube show. No one bothered with the official halftime, but to be fair, not too many people paid much attention to either – or to the game itself.
I did watch the alternative All-American Halftime Show on one of the TVs, the counterprogramming provided by TPUSA, and was very impressed with its production values.

The NFL knows that many people will watch football, no matter what.

I was a Redskin Season Ticket holder. A fan for over 50 years, even when I was a student at NTSU in Denton Texas for a number of years. I was the only member of my fraternity rooting for Sonny Jurgenson over Don Maredith. In 1971, I was transferred back to the Washington Area.
All that was to lend credence to the fact that I haven't watched a game since the T R E A S O N O U S Ravens took a knee on foreign soil without any condemnation, by the league, but it's full-fledged support! I have no problem with protest, not even a little...But it stays between family! How dare you embarrass the nation all the while representing the nation! God Damn your evil souls to the Hell they so richly deserve!

I watched all of the TPUSA program and saw bits and pieces of the Bad Bunny show. My impression of Bad Bunny was that it was chaos; my impression of TPUSA was that it was order. There we have the two choices for our country's future. I think most people chose order.

Somewhere along the way, someone in power decided the American people want to see sick perversion on public display. It started in the 70s with mature themes on TV shows, and we kept watching. By the 90s the gay thing was getting pushed and a lot of us were sympathetic, until we weren't anymore. Then came the cross dressers and the trannys and almost nobody was sympathetic, but we kept quiet for fear of being fired or killed by the vocal minority, as they aren't wrapped too tight and are prone to violence.
It looks like the pendulum may be swinging back to normalcy, but not fast enough. Carp like this Bunny person still seem to get through.

BB's halftime show was hyper-sexualized, profane, disgusting, incoherent, and boring. They Bud Lighted themselves over there at the NFL and now will reap the whirlwind, which is one reason BB deleted his social media content. They blew it, they knew it.

Have you heard the translation of the lyrics. Soooo disgusting. The so called dance movements were also disgusting. Those proud supporters, as in Sunny on the view, need mental help.
Bring back the bands. They were always the best part of the Super Bowl!
We have not watched a game since Michael Jackson trapped his crotch!

Pro sports stopped doing it for me decades ago. I go with Sunday Range Day instead.

For the record, I want Roger Goodell called before a Congressional committee to recite the English translation of Bad Bunny's lyrics.

It's one thing for the NFL to strive for a global audience. If Goodell and the money hungry NFL owners wanted to export one of our great national sports, with fanfare and love for America to an international audience, kudos to them. It's quite another thing to denigrate, belittle, and try to destroy the United States, our culture, our language and our people with a disgusting, perverted and quite frankly untalented creature whose fetish and only "talent" was grabbing his crotch and singing in Spanish, a language most Americans don't speak and cannot understand. I hope Goodell and the NFL owners get the Bud Light treatment, but I fear they won't. But, I look forward to 2027 when TPUSA whoops their collective butts with an entertaining and all love for America half-time spectacle.

Not according to all the idiots that still support them by watching games. Especially the morons that paid huge amounts to BE there.

Hopefully TPUSA's show put a big dent into the number of viewers NBC promised the advertisers. I'd imagine those who wanted to see the alternate show turned off NBC as soon as the 2nd Q ended. And if that's the case, it could be a significant loss of viewers for the overpriced commercials that lead into the official halftime show.

One can only surmise that NFL leadership had their heads rammed into the ground one too many times and have never found better helmets. The league had almost recovered from the anti-American kneeling incidents where they lost thousands of fans and millions of dollars, now this insulting display comes along. As #1 says, some people will watch anyway, it's a good excuse to drink beer and invite friends over. I can understand Spanish but I didn't watch and I don't care what the Puerto Rican idiot said. My most exciting moment in a Super Bowl was long ago when Janet Jackson had her wardrobe malfunction.

The Bad Bunny performance was certainly another Roger Goodell middle finger to America. As for whether it was a clever marketing gesture to Hispanics, let's see. Here in California Hispanic parents are prominent opponents of dodgy material in elementary school libraries and curricula so they probably weren't pleasantly surprised by Bad Bunny's performance in front of their children in the middle of a Sunday afternoon.

During his so-called half time gig, Bad Bunny characterized all inhabitants of the Western Hemisphere down to the Southern tip of Argentina to be “Americans” who should have the right to enter and reside in the current USA as they wish, completely ignoring the principle of US Citizenship and the US Constitutional provision that the US Congress have the authority through the Federal Immigration laws as to which aliens can gain entry to the USA and the conditions under which aliens can reside and stay in the USA. The Congress has since passed all sorts of immigration laws, with the recent immigration laws, known as the Immigration and Nationality Act provide that all aliens found in the USA are subject to arrest and deportation.
