In a post on X on Monday, Fine argued that the Spanish-language performance violated federal broadcast standards and should result in major penalties. The four images depict a person wearing gloves, a mask, and a backpack appearing to tamper with the camera at Guthrie’s front door the morning of her disappearance.
FBI Director Kash Patel said the potential subject is armed.

Was the "Bad Bunny" performance a shell game all along? Were our eyes focused on the Immigration Policy shell when we should have been paying attention to the shell labeled Policies and Practices? Have the NFL and Comcast/NBC expanded the boundaries of acceptable "sensitive language" for a Sunday afternoon television broadcast because "Bad Bunny's" otherwise dodgy lyrics were sung entirely in Spanish? Do Hispanic parents have to accept that their children will be exposed to language that would be verboten if spoken in English? While he's at it (the performance also featured sexually explicit dancing), Congressman Fine might also ask the FCC to reconsider the "bare backsides on Sunday afternoon broadcasting" precedent the NFL and Comcast/NBC established under the "Biden" FCC. This episode may finally force the NFL to ring down the curtain on Roger Goodell's "epater les bourgeois" act.
