California Gov. Gavin Newsom delivered a rambling rant attacking President Trump’s executive order aimed at speeding up wildfire rebuilding efforts. “He hasn’t coordinated or connected with anyone,” Newsom said at an event in San Diego on Monday. “It’s just typical Trump trying to — forgive me, it’s a French phrase — p**s on the grasshoppers to hear them sing.” The bizarre statement came as Newsom held a press conference to outline his efforts to stop fentanyl from crossing the border.[snip]Newsom blasted the top Republican, writing that “an executive order to rebuild Mars would do just as [much] good,” before abruptly shifting tone and pleading with the president to release federal disaster aid.

Comments:

Newsom doesn't want meddling in the reconstruction process, just the cash. Wonder why?

What is there to reach out for? Why does the President need to reach out to get the areas ruined by the wildfires rebuilt? Why aren’t state and local leaders seeing to it? This is nuts! Newsom and others need someone to push them to get it done.

Gavin really has a way with words when it comes to expressing his actual feelings about the citizens of California. So far, an executive order is more than Gavin has done.

The United Nations is going broke and needs member nations to stump up cash. Lots of it. That is the plea from Secretary-General António Guterres who fears the globalist body is at risk of “imminent financial collapse” due to member states not paying their fees. The former leader of the Portuguese Socialist Party said Friday the U.N. faces a financial crisis which was “deepening, threatening programme delivery” and money could run out as soon as July leaving the unaccountable globalist cabal destitute. Such is the financial drama unfolding at U.N. headquarters in Geneva, signs warning of the situation have reportedly been put up everywhere.

Capitol Hill Republicans are nervously chattering amongst themselves about whether Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem could be the first member of President Donald Trump’s second-term Cabinet headed for the exit. They’re looking in the wrong direction: They should be focused on whether they’re headed for the exits, too. The big question facing Republicans in Washington and across the country isn’t who should run DHS, but how they can respond to the obvious questions about how Immigration and Customs Enforcement and Border Patrol agents are doing their jobs. Coming up with an answer that satisfies voters could decide whether November’s midterm elections allows Trump to continue his transformative agenda

We’re a little over a month into an industry-wide conversation about the future of tech in California, which is largely taking place off social media. At this point, most people know the conversation was triggered by a ballot proposition floated by the state’s largest health care union that seeks to legalize a first-of-its-kind asset seizure targeting (for now) billionaires. Over the last week, I spoke with 21 billionaires about the looming prospect of a wealth tax. We discussed whether they left or are planning to leave California (most of them are), what a wealth tax means for the technology industry, and finally how, if at all, they plan to fight back.
