a device that might be linked to it

There's a new development in the yearslong international mystery over Havana Syndrome: The U.S. has obtained and has been testing a device that officials believe could be linked to the debilitating condition. Sources said the device was quietly obtained by the Department of Homeland Security in late 2024, almost a decade after symptoms of what became known as Havana Syndrome were first reported by U.S. embassy personnel in Cuba. The Pentagon has since been testing the portable, backpack-sized device, which emits pulsed, radio-frequency energy and contains components of Russian origin. The sources said Homeland Security investigators believe it may be capable of reproducing the effects described by victims of Havana Syndrome.

They want to test the device without harming anyone. How about sticking it in Maduro's cell and watching for any reaction? Personally, I'd prefer seeing it tested on Alejandro Mayorkas.

When I heard about the pulsed weapons our troops fought with in Caracas, I immediately thought about our sick diplomats in Havana last decade. I would bet there are some similarities between those weapons. If the enemy gets sick or disoriented, he can't fight.

Rumors have been flying for hours on social media that the second American pilot who ejected into enemy territory in Iran has been rescued by U.S. forces. Jennifer Griffin of Fox News, however, just reported Saturday night that it’s not Fake News: the happy development is apparently true://snip//President Trump responded minutes ago: FROM PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP WE GOT HIM! My fellow Americans, over the past several hours, the United States Military pulled off one of the most daring Search and Rescue Operations in U.S. History, for one of our incredible Crew Member Officers, who also happens to be a highly respected Colonel, and who I am thrilled

US forces have successfully extracted a downed American airman from Iran, with the rescued crew member and the special operations team now “safely out of Iran,” according to reports. The airman was one of two aboard an F-15E Strike Eagle shot down earlier this week. Both had ejected over southwestern Iran, triggering a high-risk rescue mission. The second crew member was recovered following intense fighting near the crash site, as US forces carried out a complex operation deep inside Iranian territory, according to Fox News. The airman and the rescue team that pulled him “from behind enemy lines in Iran are all safely out of Iran,”

Reports are bouncing around X that the Weapons System Officer has been recovered after a dramatic battle in southern Iran. No confirmation yet from the Central Command, so take these reports with a large grain of salt. All the reports seem to trace back to a well-regarded milblogger and former Green Beret, who supposedly has an impeccable record. What doesn't appear to be in dispute is that a battle has taken place near the site where the downed F-15 crewmember was hiding. The IRGC has reported Iranian deaths and has warned its citizens to stay away from the area. Iran is also claiming that the US was bombing

US President Donald Trump on Saturday vowed to rain “hell” on Iran if it fails to reach a ceasefire deal or open the Strait of Hormuz by Monday, when time runs out on an ultimatum that he has extended twice. Trump has repeatedly threatened to strike Iran’s power grid if Tehran fails to comply with US demands. On Saturday, a senior Israeli defense official said Israel was preparing to attack Iranian energy facilities, likely within the next week, but was awaiting a green light from the US.

Secretary of War Pete Hegseth leads the Pentagon, and the Air Force that serves underneath him sent an internal email to over 3,500 employees on Good Friday, reminding staff about the Good Friday service at the Pentagon Chapel. The memo stated that a Protestant service would take place, while adding in plain terms that there would be no Catholic Mass. A Pentagon spokesperson confirmed that the Protestant service stood as the only one scheduled that day. A report from the liberal HuffPost raised eyebrows among critics for suggesting Catholics were being excluded

The State Department has added business formal dress code guidance to its internal policy manual for the first time, establishing department-wide standards for employee attire. The changes, implemented in recent days in the Foreign Affairs Manual — the department’s central repository for policies — mark the first time the agency has formally codified expectations for how diplomats and staff should dress in official settings. "Representing the United States of America is an honor — and this new policy ensures our diplomats project credibility, respect, and the dignity of the nation we serve," Assistant Secretary Dylan Johnson told Fox News Digital. The updated policy applies broadly across

The New York Times set out Friday to embarrass President Donald Trump over his hardline stance on NATO. It wound up spectacularly backfiring on them. Several NATO nations have declined to join a U.S.-Israel military operation targeting Iran. Alliance members also refused Trump's requests to deploy their forces to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, much to the chagrin of President Trump, who figures that if NATO allies won’t help the United States, then the alliance has become meaningless. So the paper ran a piece criticizing Trump's threats to withdraw from the alliance, and the print edition’s headline asked a pointed question: "A North American Treaty Organization Without America?"

The United States has revoked the permanent residency of two women related to Qassem Soleimani, the late major general who led Iran’s Quds Force, the foreign branch of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), from 1998 until his assassination in 2020. In a statement on Saturday, the US Department of State revealed that Soleimani’s niece, Hamideh Soleimani Afshar, and her daughter were arrested on Friday night. Both are currently being held by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), as the US seeks their departure from the country. The case raises questions about the limits of free speech rights in the US

The final charges have been dropped against David Daleiden almost a decade after he exposed Planned Parenthood and the abortion industry’s operation selling aborted fetal body parts. Daleiden, founder and president of the Center for Medical Progress, was the center of a Democrat-led lawfare campaign led by then–California Attorney General Kamala Harris after he exposed in 2015 via undercover footage abortion facilities selling aborted babies’ body parts. “As promised, the final charge has been DISMISSED and the case completely expunged—after a couple months’ administrative delay, and a truly bizarre last-minute ‘April Fool’s’ attempt by @PPFA and @NatAbortionFed to overturn the State’s agreement,” Daleiden wrote Thursday on X.

Pam Bondi was President Donald Trump’s second choice for attorney general, and she never quite fit. Bondi often looked uncomfortable in the top prosecutor role, fumbling her way through and failing to meet the demands of a Department of Justice with a mandate to bring the criminals in the corrupt Biden administration to account. The frustration from the MAGA movement has been mounting for many months. The president’s patience had worn threadbare with an attorney general who — for many reasons — never did deliver on one of Trump’s biggest campaign promises: justice for the people caught in the crosshairs of the left’s political lawfare campaign.
