Faith leaders, union representatives and community members are calling for a Day of Truth and Freedom on Friday, Jan. 23 — urging all Minnesotans not to go to work, school or go shopping in response to Operation Metro Surge. Organizers held a news conference Tuesday morning outside of the Hennepin County Government Center in downtown Minneapolis to announce the statewide day of mourning and action. It comes amid ongoing tensions over the federal law enforcement surge in Minnesota that escalated after ICE officer Jonathan Ross fatally shot 37-year-old Minneapolis resident Renee Good last week. LOL. Their solution is always to skip work, close the schools, etc... How will this hurt ICE or Trump?

The headline infers a broad base faith community, but the story describes so-called faith leaders who are all part of leftist groups in the state. This all may be not worth reading.

Notice how quickly the "faith leaders" and "faith coalition" folks like to assume that they are relevant in the community. Had they any leadership and preached the Gospel and demonstrated integrity most of the problems in this community would never have happened. I hope January 23rd proves to be a day of great economic activity. I ignore these churches because I see too much hypocrisy.

I recently saw the political map of Minnesota and like most states; it was all red except for urban areas which of course were dark blue. The blue of course included the Minneapolis St. Paul area. I expect this area to to have a turnout of the current liberal white women protesters along with teaching union members forced to attend by their unions. I hope January 23 sees that special sub zero winter weather snowstorm that Minnesota so often gets to experience.

If the Transit Union workers aren't working on January 23, how will the protesters get to the protests? How about a Day of Disgust on Sunday, January 25. Nobody should attend the idiot churches pushing these protests. Let's leave the pews and collection plates empty to show our contempt for the church's pushing left wing ideology. I bet the union's pushing people to skip work to protest will still expect the full amount of union dues from every paycheck.

The article makes it sound like the impetus behind this is vast and broad, but I see less than 12 people in the pictures, and only 3 people listed by name who CLAIM certain Unions are behind them. I suspect it is going to be business as usual in Minnesota on the 23rd, although kudos to them for picking a Friday to offer up a 3 day weekend for advancing their cause.

Justice Elena Kagan broke with the Supreme Court’s liberal justices on Wednesday in Bost v. Illinois State Board of Elections, which revived a Republican challenge to an Illinois law that allows the counting of mail ballots that arrive after Election Day, a provision long criticized by President Donald Trump. The justices ruled 7–2 that Rep. Mike Bost, R‑Ill., has standing to sue, even though the late‑arriving ballots were unlikely to have affected his decisive victory. Illinois officials had warned that letting the case proceed could spur a wave of election challenges and disrupt ballot counting, while Bost argued that the

Eleven House Democrats jumped party lines to vote with their Republican counterparts in a bid to overturn regulations pushed during former President Joe Biden’s tenure. According to Fox News, the House of Representatives voted 226-197 to overturn Biden-era regulations effectively aimed at restricting how strong shower heads could be. Federal law already caps how much water a shower head is allowed to emit. During the Biden administration, regulators took a broader view of that rule. They concluded that showers equipped with multiple nozzles had to be treated as a single unit, meaning the total water flow across all heads could not exceed the legal maximum.

That included up to $496,000 in improper assistance to 509 dead tenants.
