Jeremy Christenson, a former Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) agent, joined Liz Collin on her podcast and explained how cases of cash smuggling and fraudulent daycare centers were ignored by prosecutors. (snip) Christenson said many of the cases he investigated "went away into thin air." (snip) Christenson told Collin that "around 2015, a [daycare] case landed on my desk (snip.) They were setting up sham daycares, fake bills, fake students, just enrolling students who never came" (snip.) But what happened next has bothered Christenson ever since. After an immigration officer shot and killed a woman in Minneapolis who federal authorities say tried to use her car as a weapon, Democrats are saying the officer used excessive and improper force. This break is a 180 degree turn from the attitude they had under the Obama Administration (snip) [when] Customs and Border Patrol (snip) released new guidelines for agents on the use of force. (snip) "[A]gents shall not discharge their firearms at a moving vehicle unless the agent has a reasonable belief, based on the totality of circumstances (snip) that deadly force is being used (snip) includ[ing] a moving vehicle aimed at agents (snip.)"
The woman shot and killed by a Federal immigration agent Wednesday was a member of a group focused on disrupting ICE enforcement (snip.) Federal officials told Fox News that Good had followed agents to two separate locations before the shooting and was "blocking the roadway to interfere with ongoing enforcement in the area." That assertion appears to line up with witness testimony (snip) "They (ICE) clearly wanted her out of there because she was the main car leading the protest . . . she was very successful in blocking traffic, she was doing what she set out to do (snip.)"
The Minnesota Fraternal Order of Police (MNFOP) released a statement Thursday with the heading "FOP Stands With ICE." The statement said, in part: "The Minnesota Fraternal Order of Police stands with the men and women of law enforcement across this country.
