Washington — Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro was indicted by a federal grand jury on charges stemming from what prosecutors said was his role in a scheme to import "thousands of tons" of cocaine into the United States and enrich himself, his family and senior members of the Venezuelan government.[Snip] The case against them was brought in the Southern District of New York, where Maduro and 14 others were first indicted in March 2020, during the first Trump administration. U.S. District Judge Alvin Hellerstein is overseeing the case.

The United States carried out strikes in Venezuela today and arrested Venezuelan President Nicholas Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores. The U.S. launched a "large scale" strike against the South American nation, including on military facilities. The move came after months of build up in the region. In recent weeks, the U.S. had seized two oil tankers off the coast of Venezuela and conducted kinetic strikes on narco-terrorist vessels in the Caribbean and Pacific. Both Maduro and his wife were indicted in the Southern District of New York. Attorney General Pam Bondi shared news of the indictment on X, and here's what that indictment entails:

When JD Vance stood before a roaring crowd and declared, “We have been, and by the grace of God, we always will be, a Christian nation,” the reaction was immediate and electric. The crowd did not politely applaud. They erupted. That matters. In a political era where most leaders hedge, qualify, and sanitize every sentence, Vance chose clarity. He chose history. He chose conviction. And in doing so, he reminded millions of Americans of something they have been told to forget.[snip] For decades now, the political and cultural elite have worked overtime to convince the country that faith is a private hobby at best, and a public nuisance at worst.

Dr. Seuss made it famous with his timeless story, How the Grinch Stole Christmas!, but in today’s America, the story is more often, “The Leftist Who Desperately Wanted to Ruin Christmas.” We see it constantly — woke Karens who want to take down manger displays, town councils that ban nativity scenes, triggered scolds who want to rip the Christ out of Christmas. Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders, for one, isn’t having it. After some silly leftist group demanded that she rescind her order making December 26 a day off for government employees, arguing that it violated the separation of church and state concept, Sanders effectively said…

A retired FBI agent who assembled major crime cases for years says Attorney General Pam Bondi has a “slam dunk” conspiracy case to prosecute former federal agents and prosecutors for election meddling for relentlessly pursuing Donald Trump for political purposes while protecting prominent Democrats like Hillary Clinton in the face of damning evidence. Jonathan Gilliam, a retired FBI agent and Navy SEAL, told the Just the News, No Noise television show that Trump should name a “Justice Czar” to coordinate both prosecutions and policy fixes after documents turned over to Congress by Bondi and FBI Director Kash Patel…

As we reported, the board of the Kennedy Center voted to add President Donald Trump's name to the Center after the efforts he made to help restore the renowned arts venue. [snip] But it's a bit like the craziness over the White House ballroom. Trump gets a ballroom for free that the nation can use forever, and Democrats attack. Adding Trump's name is their current excuse for melting down, and folks on the right are enjoying tantrums. The hot takes on the left were something to see, starting with this guy who said he was a resident of Washington, D.C., but thinks "democracy died today" because of this.

The Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts will now bear the names of two American presidents after its board of trustees voted unanimously on Thursday to rename the institution “The Donald J. Trump and The John F. Kennedy Memorial Center for the Performing Arts.” The decision, announced on December 18, 2025, marks a historic renaming of the iconic Washington, DC, venue. The board’s unanimous decision recognizes Chairman Donald J. Trump’s role in saving the institution from what Roma Daravi, Vice President of Public Relations at the Kennedy Center, described as “financial ruin and physical destruction.”

President Trump defended White House chief of staff Susie Wiles in an exclusive interview with The Post Tuesday — saying she was right to tell Vanity Fair he has an “alcoholic’s personality” and that he has full faith in Wiles to continue in her role. Trump, 79, reiterated that he avoids alcohol, saying in the interview he has a “possessive and addictive type personality” and that he wasn’t offended by her word choice. “No, she meant that I’m — you see, I don’t drink alcohol. So everybody knows that — but I’ve often said that if I did, I’d have a very good chance of being an alcoholic.

The Obamas were supposed to meet with director Rob Reiner and his wife, Michele, the night they were allegedly killed by their son, Nick Reiner, in their home in Los Angeles. “We were supposed to be seeing them that night — last night — and we got the news,” Michelle Obama said on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” Monday night, when host Jimmy Kimmel asked how she was coping with the news of her friends’ murders.
The former first lady said she and her husband were devastated when they learned that the legendary filmmaker and his wife, with whom they had been friends for “many, many years,” had been killed.

WASHINGTON — A former FBI agent who was suspended under the Biden administration and was reinstated under President Trump to much fanfare has been ousted again, The Post has learned.
FBI whistleblower Steve Friend issued what was deemed to be a threat against Director Kash Patel on a podcast hosted by ex-FBI agent Kyle Seraphin last week and that outburst helped cost him his job on Saturday, bureau insiders told the Post. Friend gained fame for claiming he was wrongly placed on leave by ex-FBI Director Chris Wray for exposing problems with the Jan. 6 investigation

Imagine sending your seventh-grader off to school one morning, believing that the adults in the room will protect their innocence. Now imagine that same child coming home shaken because their teacher selected and projected graphic sexual images onto the classroom Smart Board, images so explicit that even the teacher admitted, on the spot, that “some of them were inappropriate.” That is exactly what happened to our clients, Stephanie and Jessy, after their middle school children walked into Ms. Bridgette Gates’ art class, and it’s why the ACLJ has launched a federal lawsuitagainst the Watertown City School District – the district that employs Ms. Gates.
