The Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts will now bear the names of two American presidents after its board of trustees voted unanimously on Thursday to rename the institution “The Donald J. Trump and The John F. Kennedy Memorial Center for the Performing Arts.” The decision, announced on December 18, 2025, marks a historic renaming of the iconic Washington, DC, venue. The board’s unanimous decision recognizes Chairman Donald J. Trump’s role in saving the institution from what Roma Daravi, Vice President of Public Relations at the Kennedy Center, described as “financial ruin and physical destruction.”

Sorry, but this is just beyond stupid and distasteful. Really?!? Trump seems to have lost whatever amount of grace he formerly possessed. And on the heels of last night's tone-deaf barrage, I think what we are seeing may be an onset of 'oldster's disease'....it was bound to happen eventually (at the same age as Trump, I know of what I speak). I also think Ms. Wiles may want to reconsider that mid-term campaign strategy....maybe more JD Vance, et al and less DJT!

Silly Republicans! How awful how could they? Only Democrats are entitled to have things named after them. Whatever makes anyone think that a Republican is good enough. I think Kennedy has plenty named after him. I used to love the name, Idlewild. It made me think of wonderful places to go and then it was changed to Kennedy. And what was wrong with Titusville? Now it’s Kennedy. So, I’m not impressed with those who are holding their handkerchiefs daintily to their noses while clutching their pearls. Lol

This is totally unnecessary. Ridiculous. Absurd. Waste of time. There will be plenty of other buildings and places to name after Trump.

I read the article and I think this was niot a wise decision to add his name to the Kennedy Center. Trump needs to talk every day about how he is making life better for Americans by working to lower costs and keep the economy improving. Karl Rove has a piece today that alarm bells are going off for Trump. He has about 10 months to turn things around.

This is probably a generational problem. I'm a year younger than Trump and I think this is premature. I was in high school when JFK was murdered. This building has his name on it because it was to honor his memory as our president. There will be many opportunities to honor Trump. He's earned it. Younger folks will probably take a different view because they know very little about JFK and have not experienced the murder of our president which I pray they never do.

Trump has always put his name on things since he was young. I honestly think the Kennedy Center, should have just kept the name it had. The board apparently voted for this and Trump was not behind it. But still.....

Trump, 79, reiterated that he avoids alcohol, saying in the interview he has a “possessive and addictive type personality” and that he wasn’t offended by her word choice. “No, she meant that I’m — you see, I don’t drink alcohol. So everybody knows that — but I’ve often said that if I did, I’d have a very good chance of being an alcoholic.

The left wants her dead. Tina Peters has been found guilty on state charges and is serving time in a state prison, so the presidential pardon will not result in her immediate release. Last week, a magistrate judge dismissed Tina Peter’s habeas corpus petition seeking an early release from prison. President Trump’s close friend, former schoolmate, and attorney, Peter Ticktin, recently wrote in a letter that Tina Peters has been attacked three times by other inmates.

ATLANTA (AP) — A federal judge has permanently ordered Georgia’s prison system to keep providing some kinds of gender-affirming care for transgender prisoners, although the state plans to appeal. U.S. District Judge Victoria Marie Calvert last week ruled that a new state law denying hormone therapy to inmates violated their protection against cruel and unusual punishment under the Eighth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. She ordered the state to keep providing hormones to inmates who had been receiving therapy and to allow others medically diagnosed as needing hormone therapy to begin receiving treatment.

The unspeakable tragedy that has been visited upon the family of Rob Reiner has likely left all parents in shock. Given what has been available to read about Nick Reiner these past several days, since the murder of his parents, it has shed a little light on what that family has endured since their son Nick was eight years old, maybe even before that. He was apparently a difficult child long before he became a drug user. His parents tried to help him way back then after he disrupted their yoga sessions. They hired their trainer to work specifically with Nick, thinking yoga would help him

Democrats are sinking like a stone, and the new Quinnipiac poll makes it official: their congressional approval rating has hit a historic low of just 18%, with a brutal 73% disapproving. That's the worst number Quinnipiac has recorded since they started asking the question back in 2009. Even CNN's chief data analyst, Harry Enten, couldn't hide his shock, declaring that "Democrats, in the minds of the American public, are lower than the Dead Sea." The real kicker? Democrats are turning on their own party. Only 42% of Democratic voters approve of how their representatives in Congress are performing, while 48% disapprove.

When I enter an establishment, the wait staff is at twenty percent, perhaps even a little more. The tip is built into my tipping psyche. At that point, it’s up to the wait staff to begin working their way down.
