IT IS TIME TO KILL THE INSANE OBAMACARE, AND LET INSURANCE COMPANIES SELL HEALTH INSURANCE POLICIES THAT PEOPLE NEED.
AS IT STANDS, A 50 YEAR OLD SINGLE LESBIAN WOMAN WHO IS MENOPAUSAL, HAS TO PURCHASE A POLICY THAT COVERS PREGNANCY.
And that is just one example of the stupidity of the kenyan klown and his kohort.

Affordable care that requires subsidies is the affordability that President Trump spoke of when he says the left is lying about affordability.

Republicans promised they would get rid of Obamacare Day One --- back in 2017. Promises made, promises not kept. The extension of subsidies to those making 1000% of the Federal Poverty Level? Republicans signing this should be named and up to be primaried. We never get anything from Republicans. Trump is all we have.

This is all about the 2026 mid-term election. Take away the subsidies and we lose the house. Its that simple. If we had a 100 seat majority, it would be a slam dunk.
What we want, and what wins elections are often not the same thing.

#1 hit the nail on the head. Want to fix Obama Care? Get rid of mandatory coverages. Let people opt out of coverages they don't need. A 64, single, male, vasectomy doesn't need maternity coverage. There are several other mandatory coverages that are not ridiculous for me to have. That Obama care must be subsidies shos the fallacy of the "affordability" part of the alleged Affordable Care Act.

Whatever solution is chosen, get the government out of it. We have had it with insurance companies who are allowed to dictate laws.

And where would the $$ come from? We are already in debt and going deeper in debt….and debt dollars depreciate currency, eg create inflation. Inflation hits low incomes the hardest.

Obamacare is screwing us, if we turn it over to Insurance companies they will screw us.
There is no real answer and people in Congress who get their share of the loot are certainly not going to work for one.

Follow the money, investigate these GOP lawmakers. I’ll guarantee you they’re siphoning money from taxpayers. If so, prosecute them into oblivion.

Of course they did. Congress hopes to make Trump a blip on a radar screen that disappears once his second term is over. Our government is a farce, both parties.

Curiously enough, the article doesn’t name any of these “bipartisan lawmakers.”

If the ACA required subsidies to be "affordable" it was never affordable.
The ACA was supposed to be pit stop on the way to universal "health" care aka socialized medicine.
Socialized medicine has failed wherever it has been tried, at least for the everyday citizens. The "elites" are well cared for, not so much the rest of the people.

The supplement that covers 80% of the cost of ObamaCare should only be extended for one year to not leave recipients without insurance while a new plan is developed to replace it. If Congress could produce the ACA in less than a years time, they have no excuse for taking longer than a year to replace it.
