Republican Matt Van Epps narrowly defeated Democrat Aftyn Behn in Tuesday’s hotly contested special election for Tennessee’s 7th District House seat.
Behn had raised Democrats’ hopes for an upset in the conservative stronghold after late polling showed the state lawmaker within striking distance of Van Epps, a former Army helicopter pilot backed by President Trump.
Van Epps led by about 6 percentage points with 85% of ballots counted Tuesday night, when the Associated Press called the race for the Republican at 9:37 p.m.

Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Kristi Noem publicly shredded Minnesota Governor Tim Walz (D) for what she claims is significant fraud in the state's visa programs. Noem reported to President Trump that, at his direction, she had looked into visa fraud in the North Star State, and the numbers were grim. She claimed a staggering 50 percent of cases reviewed had yielded some form of fraud, adding that the only way Walz could have been ignorant of it is for two reasons, neither of which is flattering.
"You told me to look into Minnesota and their fraud on visas and their programs, 50% of them are fraudulent," Noem stated.

President Donald Trump sat down with his cabinet, and addressed the progress his administration has made on inflation and combatting the affordability crisis. But to hear one outlet tell it, the president thinks affordability is "a scam" and that he downplays consumer concerns about it.
The anti-Trump agenda narratives and stealth editing by the legacy media know no bounds. Here is that portion of Trump's opening remarks. In them, Trump made it clear that it is the way Democrats use the word, "affordability," that renders it meaningless. He did not say this about the issue of affordability in and of itself,

Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem proposed a “full travel ban” Monday on unnamed countries “flooding” the US with dangerous migrants, after a meeting with President Trump.
“I just met with the President,” Noem wrote on X. “I am recommending a full travel ban on every damn country that’s been flooding our nation with killers, leeches, and entitlement junkies. “Our forefathers built this nation on blood, sweat, and the unyielding love of freedom — not for foreign invaders to slaughter our heroes, suck dry our hard-earned tax dollars, or snatch the benefits owed to AMERICANS,” the DHS chief continued. “WE DON’T WANT THEM. NOT ONE.”

Two activist judges with a track record of sabotaging President Trump’s America First agenda have just ghosted a critical Senate hearing aimed at exposing judicial overreach.
U.S. District Judge James Boasberg and U.S. District Judge Deborah Boardman have both turned down invitations to testify before the Senate Judiciary Committee this week at the explosive hearing titled “Impeachment: Holding Rogue Judges Accountable.
Their absence should come as no surprise to anyone paying attention. These are not neutral judges, they are political operatives wielding federal robes as weapons against the will of the American people.

Homeland Security Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin told Fox News that sanctuary New York City is harboring 7,169 known criminal illegal aliens, purposefully shielding them from immigration officials. McLaughlin revealed the cost to a city’s safety and security with sanctuary policies that hide vicious criminals from deportation while leaving citizens in danger.
“We’re seeing that these criminal illegal aliens are exiting the jails and going back onto New York or Chicago or these other sanctuary streets to re-perpetuate their crimes,” McLaughlin told Fox News. “Today in New York City’s jails are 7,169 criminal illegal aliens. We’re talking about hundreds of murderers, hundreds of sexual predators, drug traffickers, the worst of the worst.”

All of us following closely the peace processes in Ukraine, in the middle East and beyond, have had our eyes on Steve Witkoff for quite a while.
The real-estate mogul has been central to the Israel-Hamas agreement, and has also spearheaded the multiple attempts from the Donald J. Trump team to bring peace to Europe, and stop the bloodiest war since WW2.
A measure of how efficient Witkoff is can be gauged by the relentless attacks he suffers from the Globalist MSM: he is called inexperienced, inefficient and smeared as ‘pro-Putin’, a mere puppet in the hands of the ‘enemy of the west’.

FBI Director Kash Patel is facing withering criticism from an alliance of active-duty and retired agents and analysts, days after the White House denied media reports that the president is about to fire him.
A troubling new report card on the first six months of Patel’s leadership concludes he is “in over his head” and his deputy, Dan Bongino, is “something of a clown,” according to the alliance, which in two previous reports warned about crippling DEI and politicization of the FBI during the Biden administration.
The Patel-led FBI is described in the 115-page report as a “rudderless ship” and “all f–ked up.”
Patel is described by multiple internal sources as inexperienced,

President Trump gave Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro a chance to escape the country with his life — but he had to do it immediately, according to a bombshell report.
During a call between Trump and Maduro last week, the South American dictator demanded that he be allowed to maintain control of the military and wanted global amnesty for all crimes, according to the Miami Herald, citing sources.
Trump’s response was reportedly blunt, and the talks quickly broke down. Maduro, his wife and son would be allowed to leave Venezuela safely, but they must do it immediately.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio emphasized Sunday that any peace deal to end the war in Ukraine must ensure that they will “never have another war again” — as top negotiators from Washington and Kyiv met in Miami.
Rubio called the meeting in Miami “quite productive,” but stressed that they “still have work to do” to get a deal across the finish line to end the bloody war in Ukraine.
“Today was again a very productive and useful session where I think additional progress was made,” Rubio told reporters after their deliberations. “There’s another party involved here that will have to be a part of the equation.

More than 10 US warships, including the country’s largest carrier, the USS Gerald F. Ford, are bearing down on the Caribbean amid escalating tensions between President Trump and Venezuela.
A Marine Expeditionary Unit capable of an amphibious land invasion has also been deployed as part of efforts to stem the flow of drugs into the US from the socialist country.
“The military’s job is to defend the homeland,” Secretary of the Navy John Phelan told Fox News on Saturday night. “That’s exactly what we’re doing, and we’re using our best assets to defend the homeland. Drugs kill more Americans than we’ve ever lost in wars,” he said.

The fallout from the 2020 COVID-19 debacle is still raining down. In the latest episode, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has now found evidence linking the coronavirus vaccines to as many as 10 child deaths, and the federal agency is responding by ramping up new vaccine approval regulations.
At least part of this was done at the urging of the Secretary of Health and Human Services, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. We should note that at least part of the new approach is not just on how vaccines are delivered, but how they are developed.
