Our educational institutions have one purpose: To produce young adults with marketable skills. Even the elementary school systems should be focused on this goal. They equip young children with the basics: Reading, writing, and elementary math. In other words, the basics that will enable them to succeed as they move on in life.[snip]An Oregon father is outraged after discovering that his 11-year-old son was slated to receive a state-issued sexual orientation and gender identity survey that asked children to identify their sexual orientation, gender identity, and whether they are transgender.

Comments:

Another outrage instituted, no doubt, by an administrator whose own identity is puzzling. Almost all forms now include this or a related question. For what it's worth, I never answer that, nor questions of race.

Homosexuals and other perverts know that naturally they are rare, very rare. So, they want to convert kids to homosexual and other insanities so that they can feel more 'normal'. The sick want more sick to be around them, and leftists are at least 50% made up of the mentally unstable or actually mentally ill.

The survey was issued by the Oregon Housing Authority? Somebody, please enlighten me on why a "Housing Authority" has any business in public schools. It reads to me as another unelected administrative agency with massive mission creep. Thanks to the parents for bringing this overreach to public attention.

The father is well within his rights to BEAT the HELL out of the Principal of the school. Then pass him on to the next father and the next and the next, ad infinitum! Once everyone has their licks in, send them a letter of protest.

We're still waiting to see what fruit recent discussions regarding a Russia-Ukraine peace deal might yield, but early on Friday came news of an additional wrinkle: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's top aide, Andriy Yermak, has resigned in the wake of an anti-corruption probe. [snip] Yermak, head of the President's Office, submitted his resignation following searches by the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) at his premises earlier on Nov. 28, President Volodymyr Zelensky announced. Yermak has played a key role in the peace negotiations, so his abrupt departure raises obvious questions as to how negotiations may be impacted.

On Thanksgiving, on Thursday, we gave thanks for everything that brings purpose and meaning to our lives. That’s a valuable day of reflection, a day that should matter to every American. But this Friday, commonly known as “Black Friday” for its sometimes wild opening of the Christmas shopping season, is also a day when we have to think about the upcoming cost of keeping all those things we’re thankful for, like our country. If you’re reading my work here, you may know that I’m not overly optimistic about the immediate future. My readings of history and my sense of the mood of Americans tell me something is coming, some seminal event

President Donald Trump is vowing to "permanently pause" immigration from "Third World Countries" and is calling for a program of "reverse migration" in the U.S., following the shooting Wednesday of two National Guard members by an alleged Afghan national. He announced his intentions in a long X post: "A very Happy Thanksgiving salutation to all of our Great American Citizens and Patriots who have been so nice in allowing our Country to be divided, disrupted, carved up, murdered, beaten, mugged, and laughed at, along with certain other foolish countries throughout the World, for being “Politically Correct,” and just plain STUPID, when it comes to Immigration," the post begins.

The Afghan national who allegedly shot two National Guard soldiers in a possible terror attack in the nation’s capital Wednesday served alongside American troops in his home country before coming to the US, according to a report. Rahmanullah Lakanwal, 29, was a member of the Afghan Army stationed in Kandahar where he supported US Special Forces in the region, a relative told NBC News. Lakanwal was injured while serving in the army and fled Afghanistan, entering the US in September 2021 through the Biden administration’s botched refugee program Operation Allies Welcome.

Forget the Hollywood sign — the newest landmark in Tinseltown is a $10 billion pile of dirt that’s about to become one of the most exclusive addresses on the planet. The massive One Beverly Hills project has officially gotten off the ground, promising to turn a 17.5-acre slice of prime real estate into an “urban resort” so opulent that it’ll make Rodeo Drive look cheap. Over the weekend, 3,800 cubic yards of concrete were continuously poured, marking the foundation for the tallest towers in Beverly Hills. With a jaw-dropping $10 billion valuation, this isn’t just another condo complex; it’s a fortress of solitude for the super-rich.

I say it today,” Mamdani told NBC’s “Meet the Press” when asked whether he still views Trump as a fascist. The socialist pol said he’s eager to work with Trump because they agreed that the Big Apple needs to be more affordable at their surprisingly chummy meeting Friday. “What I appreciated about the conversation that I had with the president was that we were not shy about the places of disagreement,” he said. “

Jasmine Crockett is on quite a streak of shamelessness. One might say, a generational one. In that dubious category, the Dem rep from Texas reigns supreme in Washington DC, even in a week when President Trump told a reporter: “quiet piggy.“ It’s something to behold. She’s so consistently and ridiculously on the wrong side of objective truth, even CNN hosts are regularly swatting her down. On Wednesday, she attempted to pull a gotcha on Republicans accusing them of having a very cozy transactional relationship with pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, who died in 2019. On the House floor Crockett declared, “We’re gonna expose it all!” Narrator: “She only exposed her backside — and her incompetence.”
