Trump celebrates Rep. Marjorie Taylor
Greene’s resignation from Congress as
‘great news for the country’

President Trump hailed Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene’s surprising resignation announcement Friday as “great news” for America. “I think it’s great news for the country,” Trump told ABC News during a brief phone call. “It’s great,” he added. The president indicated that Greene (R-Ga.) did not share her plans with him ahead of her social media post announcing her intention to leave office on Jan. 5, 2026, and said he had no plans to speak with her. “Nah, it doesn’t matter, you know? But I think it’s great,” Trump said. “I think she should be happy.”

Given the nature of her complete Turn Arounds and erratic switches in allegiances, I'll venture to say that Ms Greene is experiencing some difficult mental challenges, I wish her well in her recovery.

Regardless of what has gone on in recent days, I've seen MTG do some pretty spunky things in the past - especially concerning the J6 political prisoners. I don't know what's going on, but I hope the best for her.

This all started after she was informed by Trump that he wouldn’t endorse her for the Senate race in Georgia. She felt she was owed that for her loyalty. We can’t afford to risk a Senate seat to massage someone’s ego.

I have no idea what happened to MTG. I used to like her willingness to stand up for herself, the President, and say and do all the right things. And then she got infected with TDS somehow. Her divorce sent her down the wrong path. Then something else did. Started hanging out with the wrong crowd. Depression? Now that she has time, maybe having a chat with her doctor would be timely. Does the GOP still hold the majority in the House because of this until she is replaced hopefully with another pubbie? BTW, the link doesn't work.

I really had more respect for those of you in the past that chimed her leaving due to hormones, etc. I did not agree with her at times and I certainly don't agree with Trump at times. From Zero Hedge: “Of particular note, Greene has become Congress's most outspoken Republican critic of US support of Israel, repeatedly opposing additional aid to what she calls the "secular government of Israel," accusing Israel of genocide in Gaza, and demanding that the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) register as a foreign agent. While not mentioning Israel by name in her resignation announcement, Greene appeared to take aim at those who put undue emphasis on Israel's interests: "America First should mean America First and only America First, with no other foreign country ever being attached to America First in our halls of government."”

The Pentagon should not have withdrawn the [Typhon missile system from Japan]. Worse, it chose the worst possible time to do so. Now, in the middle of a confrontation that China has picked with Japan, the Chinese propaganda machine is pushing the narrative that the withdrawal of the Typhon battery shows that Washington is abandoning Tokyo. [T]he U.S. Department of War should have foreseen that China would try to score points by making it look as if the U.S. had just caved in the face of Beijing's pressure. More important, the U.S. and Japan might actually need the firepower now.

While global focus has shifted to other crises, Iran has rapidly and aggressively been accelerating its ballistic missile production at the speed of light. If the West is serious about stopping Iran's missile expansion, dismantling these missile networks must be part of the strategy. Every intercepted shipment delays Tehran's ambitions and weakens its ability to radiate threats. The US should have let Israel keep on going when it wanted to, after the Trump administration took out three of Iran's nuclear plants: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu knows what he is doing. Iran must not be allowed to grow stronger, more dangerous, and more emboldened.

Few stories grabbed national attention quite like the Cracker Barrel rebrand did this year. Even amid endless high-profile developments in Washington, the Cracker Barrel rebrand stood out as offensive to Americans everywhere. Like Bud Light's partnership with transgender activist Dylan Mulvaney, Cracker Barrel's new look felt like an attack on an American institution from an out-of-touch C-suite that bought into the leftist idea of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. The backlash was so severe that the company publicly slammed the brakes on their modern makeover and promised Americans they weren't changing a thing.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) is a euphemism for a rigid racialist theology. It deductively postulates that a large percentage of the population is oppressed by racism and sexism, mostly by white males. DEI makes no allowance for the class or wealth of the alleged victims or their supposed victimizers. So once that rigid party line is set, it cannot account for tens of millions of affluent and privileged non-white Americans or like numbers of poor and non-privileged whites. Absurdities and ridicule must then follow. One example is the spectacle of former First Lady Michelle Obama on her current book tour.
