Tatiana Schlossberg, the granddaughter of JFK, has less than a year to live after being diagnosed with terminal leukemia, she announced Saturday. “Maybe my brain is replaying my life now because I have a terminal diagnosis, and all these memories will be lost,” she writes in a searing article about her condition in the New Yorker. Schlossberg, 35, whose parents are Caroline Kennedy and Edwin Schlossberg, has acute myeloid leukemia with a rare mutation. She described how her doctors discovered the cancer – just a few hours after she gave birth to her second child in 2024.

Sorry for her. How hard, just after giving birth. (Maybe her crazy brother can find some of his lost senses.)

Sad, and the story comes on the anniversary of her grandfather's assassination. I don't believe in curses but if I did the Kennedy family would be number one on my list.

Prayers from me too. #5, also that they are so well known so we hear about them and not similar things that happen to everyday American families. Every family has tragedies. My 33 year old son in law died 3 weeks ago from a traumatic brain injury leaving behind my daughter and four children, the oldest of which is just 5 and the youngest just 2 months.

So tired of this "Kennedy Family Tragedy" canard. For nearly 70 years we have been subjected to one Kennedy tragedy after another. EVERY family over a period of 70 years will have tragedies, the Kennedys are no exception. Prayers to Tatiana.

The U.S. Military could be preparing to sever ties with the Scouts, according to a leaked Pentagon memo. U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth wants to bring an end to the centuries-old partnership between the military and Scouting America because he believes the organization has developed a tendency to "attack boy-friendly spaces," according to documents reportedly seen by NPR. A Department of Defense official told NPR the Pentagon would not comment on "leaked documents that we cannot authenticate and that may be predecisional." Newsweek contacted the U.S. Department of Defense for further comment via email. The U.S. military's relationship with Scouting America (formerly Boy Scouts of America) is a long-standing

The Biden administration allegedly pressured US airports to house migrants despite warnings that it could compromise safety and put travelers at risk, according to a bombshell Senate report. The 47-page document, “Flight Risk” released by the Senate Commerce Committee, alleges the White House directed the Department of Transportation (DOT), Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), and Federal Transit Administration (FTA) to find airport facilities for shelters or processing centers for migrants. According to the report, the administration instructed DOT and FAA to “inventory available facilities” at both federally owned and local airports and to “divert federal resources” to support migrant arrivals.

Members of the House will soon have access to up to $20,000 a month to pay for personal security while they’re off the Hill — doubling the monthly amount currently available — and access to a mobile duress system, according to the House sergeant-at-arms. Sergeant-at-Arms William McFarland announced the enhancements Monday in a “Dear Colleague” letter. The additional funds will be available Dec. 1 and will allow members to hire security personnel or companies for personal protection. It comes at a time of heightened threats and rising tensions over security for members of Congress. “Covered services include accompanying a Member or providing residential coverage at a member’s home,” McFarland wrote

As of midday today, about 1,000 new comments have been posted on the federal portal at Regulations.gov, bringing the total to over 12,000. The proposed rule, titled “Weighted Selection Process for Registrants and Petitioners Seeking to File Cap-Subject H-1B Petitions”, would replace the current random lottery for 85,000 annual H-1B visas with a system that gives priority to higher-wage positions. Registrations for unique beneficiaries would be entered into a weighted selection pool based on wage levels, with the highest-wage positions having the greatest odds of selection.

Italy has long been one of Europe’s strongest defenders of religious freedom despite the influence of the Vatican. But now, the country is poised to outlaw the use of traditional Islamic attire like burqas, a move the government says will strengthen its tradition of religious liberty by requiring all faiths to operate with “full transparency” and within the limits of Italian law. The proposed law, which is set to be debated in Italy’s parliament before the end of this year, would ban “religiously motivated garments that obscure identity or impose non-transparent forms of [religious] affiliation,” according to a draft of the proposal published in the Italian media.

Democrats are seeking to put limits on private donations to foot the bill for President Donald Trump's new White House ballroom amid what they say are bribery concerns. Trump announced in October that construction had started on the ballroom — leading to the demolition of the White House’s historic East Wing — and would be privately funded at an estimated cost of $300 million. That was up from the $200 million estimate first provided in July when the project was unveiled. But Democrats are concerned the donors — including individuals and other organizations — are footing the bill for the project because they are seeking

In 2018, as California was laying the groundwork to build a new 911 system for the state, a massive fire ripped through Butte County, decimating several Northern California communities and killing over 80 people. The devastating Camp Fire, which wiped out cell towers and hampered emergency communication during critical hours, was on everyone’s minds as the California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services worked to design the state’s future emergency communication system. Between 2019 and 2025, California paid four technology companies over $450 million to build out its Next Generation 911 system, But when the time came to turn that system on, it didn’t work.

The message is the Republicans in next fall’s midterm elections will lose the House, bigly, and probably the Senate. If politics is indeed “war by other means,” expect the political war next fall to be bloody. Think Battle of the Little Bighorn. Think Stalingrad. Think Pickett’s Charge. Think the Battle of Midway. Think Waterloo. It will be one-sided. Oh, I know the President has done some terrific things – at great personal risk to himself, by the way – even if they were sometimes done unartfully.

Comer warned the former president and his twice-failed presidential candidate wife that dodging these subpoenas with written answers will not cut it—it's a clear no-go, and could invite contempt of Congress charges. Originally subpoenaed in August, the Clintons asked their lawyer to request that the committee accept written statements rather than require them to sit for live depositions. Their attorney, David Kendall, claimed that written answers would be the “most efficient and equitable” approach. Comer shot that down.
