The big news of the week was the end of the Democrats’ shutdown, which means that things are now back to normal. I.e., batsh*t crazy. (And, by the way, I am a convert to Bill Glahn’s theory that the Democrats never intended to achieve anything tangible by the shutdown. Republicans on the committee immediately called them out for what they were, a manufactured hit job meant to generate headlines and nothing more, and promptly released the entire tranche of Epstein emails, more than 20,000 of them.
