Hungary continues to stand firm against what many see as a bureaucratic assault on national sovereignty: every day since June 2024, Viktor Orbán’s government transfers one million euros directly into the European Union’s coffers—not out of whim, but as the price for refusing to open the doors to immigrant flows that threaten the country’s security and identity. This is not a symbolic gesture; it is a calculated rebellion. «It is cheaper to pay the fine than to surrender to Brussels,» Orbán told me in one of his radio statements in February 2025, with that frankness that has made him an icon for European conservatives.
And he is right:

Zohran Mamdani held a secretive meeting with far-left Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren on Wednesday — a sitdown that was captured by an eagle-eyed New Yorker whose office is across from the mayor-elect’s headquarters.
Warren boasted about the meeting with the Democratic socialist and Big Tech antagonist Lina Khan, the co-chair of Mamdani’s transition team, on Instagram.
“Tax the rich. Billionaire tears not pictured,” Warren captioned the post of the beaming trio. The nosy neighbor who works in the building across the street from Mamdani snapped a picture of him and Warren “in deep debate” on Nov. 12, according to a post on X.
Update: the blinds are all closed this morning,” he wrote Thursday.

A federal judge in Chicago has ordered the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to release more than 600 illegal immigrants held at a suburban detention center, blasting the agency for “repeated, material violations” of a court-approved consent decree that limited who could be detained under US immigration law.
US District Judge Jeffrey Cummings ruled that more than 600 detainees being held at the Broadview ICE center must be released “on bond and into ICE’s Alternatives to Detention (ATD) program” by Nov. 21, citing what he called a “pattern of unlawful arrests and confinement.”

Perhaps more than anyone else, House Speaker Mike Johnson (LA-04) has been the face of congressional Republicans on the Schumer Shutdown, holding the line and reminding the American people nearly every day since it started that it was the Democrats' fault that the shutdown was in effect, and that they were admittedly doing it for "leverage" and to appease the party's far-left base."After this weekend’s 'Hate America' rallies co-sponsored by the Communist Party, I thought [Sen. Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) would] finally do the right thing. But he’s still too terrified of his radical base — even admitting he’ll keep the government shut down while hardworking Americans suffer,"

Democrats thought they had a winning hand when they released three carefully selected Jeffrey Epstein emails on Wednesday morning. The timing was no accident. With their caucus still reeling from their base turning on them for caving on the government shutdown, they needed a distraction, and they believed these emails would deliver one. They were wrong. The so-called bombshell consisted of three email exchanges. The crown jewel of their selective leak was a 2011 email between Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell in which Epstein described Trump as "the dog that hasn't barked." He noted that a victim had spent hours with Trump at Epstein’s house.

House Democrats pulled a bait-and-switch on a new trove of Jeffrey Epstein documents Wednesday when they released just three select emails in which the pedophile financier mentioned President Trump, including one claiming “Victim 1 spent many hours at my house with him.”
But the Dems on the House Oversight Committee deliberately withheld the name of the victim in the missive — Virginia Giuffre, who said before her death earlier this year that she witnessed no wrongdoing from Trump during their interactions.
Media outlets jumped on the limited document release anyway — led by the New York Times and CNN which appeared to have gotten a sneak peek at the messages.

Now they tell us. Or maybe I should say, “Now it can be told.”
In an editorial Sunday, The Washington Post informs us that New York City Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani is a dictatorial ideologue. He ran an “upbeat campaign, with a nice-guy demeanor and perpetual smile papering over a long history of divisive and demagogic statements.”
This might have fooled voters into thinking he was a feel-good technocrat who’d fix the city. But after being elected, the mask came off. “Across 23 angry minutes laced with identity politics and seething with resentment,” the editorial says,

The party that cries wolf is at it again.
Democrats are back in Congress after their shutdown to launch another anti-Trump hoax.
This time, it’s not a fictional “pee tape” but the old Epstein horse they keep flogging.
On Wednesday, House Oversight Committee Democrats selectively released three emails among 23,000 handed over by the estate of the late pedophile financier Jeffrey Epstein to try to implicate Donald Trump, yet again, in Epstein’s sexual abuse of underage girls.
Of course, the Oversight Dems, who include such adornments to Congress as Jasmine Crockett, Ayanna Pressley and Rashida Tlaib, left out crucial information that exonerated the president,

For the last several months, Democrats have been trying furiously to tie Donald Trump to Jeffrey Epstein. Aside from the fact that this media campaign is obviously not organic, it’s utterly bizarre and disingenuous. Democrats simply don’t care about ties to Epstein, and never have. They only care that these allegations can be used to possibly harm Trump.
For instance, the evidence tying Bill Clinton to Jeffrey Epstein is far stronger than that involving Donald Trump, and Clinton spoke in primetime at the Democratic National Convention last year and is hardly persona non grata.

The leaves aren’t the only reds upstate this fall.
After socialist Zohran Mamdani won last week’s New York mayoral race, an upstate city has gone one better by electing a full-blown communist.
Hannah Shvets, 20, a student organizer and member of the Communist Party USA, was elected to the Ithaca Common Council on Thursday in the Democratic stronghold’s Fifth Ward, which covers the western half of Cornell University’s campus in the city.
Shvets, a Democrat and Cornell sophomore, defeated independent candidate and former Democratic primary hopeful G.P. Zurenda after winning the endorsement of groups that include Ithaca branch of the Democratic Socialists of America and the Ithaca Tenants Union.

A proposed hemp ban that threatens to end the sale of scores of popular THC gummies, vapes and even beverages is tucked into a government-funding bill — and could stall lawmakers’ efforts to end the longest-ever shutdown in US history.
The Senate will be voting on a full-year funding measure as part of its deal to end the shutdown — and the plan would also prohibit the unregulated sale of “intoxicating hemp-based or hemp-derived products, including Delta-8, from being sold online, in gas stations, and corner stores, while preserving non-intoxicating CBD and industrial hemp products.”

Don’t expect 1st Deputy Mayor-designate Dean Fuleihan to rein in an ounce of Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani worst urges: He imposed no such restraint when he worked for Bill de Blasio.
Plus, Zoh’s pick for chief of staff, his longtime right hand Elle Bisgaard-Church, will be a voice of the same unreason that’s guided Mamdani’s entire political career to date.
The problem being that an assemblyman’s failings easily pass without notice, whereas 8 million New Yorkers suffer when a mayor screws up.
Those with a will to pull wool over their eyes will take solace in Fuleihan non-disastrous service as a top aide to then-Speaker Shelly Silver and other legislative poohbahs,
