Greetings, Dear Reader, As usual, they’re all wrong and I’m right. How can we interpret the two conflagrations in our midst? Let’s get into it. THE PIED PIPER OF BUSHWICK There are a couple of fires right now for conservatives. To our front, the Heritage Foundation is in the midst of a generational struggle session over allegiance to Israel. While I think the reckoning is worthwhile and ultimately inevitable – especially considering future American conservatives are not apt to carry Jerusalem’s burden – the one to our rear is much more immediate and consequential. The story we’re hearing from the left (and the right) about Mamdani’s win in New York City is pure mythology.

Nancy Pelosi has announced her retirement as of the end of the current term. No surprise there: she is 85 years old, and being in the minority in the House, especially after having been Speaker, is no fun. Conservatives have mostly despised “San Fran Nan,” and president Trump made no bones about his feelings:
“I think she’s an evil woman. I’m glad she’s retiring. I think she did the country a great service by retiring,” Trump told reporters in the Oval Office when asked for his reaction to the California Democrat’s announcement she is ending her decades-long storied career.

Beyond that, the Schumer Shutdown continued, food stamps have run out, the guy that wants to murder Republicans got elected Attorney General of Virginia, Nancy Pelosi announced her retirement, and conflict with Venezuela is looming. But memesters were more interested in Sydney Sweeney seeing off an interviewer who wanted to talk about white supremacy.
Jimmy Kimmel's late-night show was mysteriously canceled at the last minute Thursday night.

Zohran Mamdani’s victory in the New York City mayoral race this week is a clear moment. Voters chose a 34-year-old Democrat Socialist promising frozen rents, higher taxes on the wealthy, more public spending, etc. You know, all the things communists promise before their overblown Marxism takes control. That is now the experiment New York City residents asked for.
