New Yorkers elected their first socialist mayor Tuesday, handing far-left Democrat Zohran Mamdani an historic victory — as he claimed a mandate for his potentially budget-busting progressive agenda and all but declared war on President Trump. The Associated Press and NY1 called the race for the 34-year-old Mamdani about 40 minutes after polls closed at 9 p.m., inspiring cheers from his supporters at his campaign’s Brooklyn watch party. “New York, tonight you have delivered a mandate for change, a mandate for a new kind of politics, a mandate for a city that we can afford and a mandate for a government that delivers exactly that,”

Because the MEDIA will spin WHATEVER they do as hugely SUCCESSFUL--- even if it's a complete and total failure. The Pubbies will be relegated to taking on the sycophantic media while the Dems will use their precious time effectively getting out their socialist we-care-about-you-and-they-don't agenda. Mandami was elected by mush heads who don’t know or understand what socialism even is. They think it means that they get ‘free stuff’ paid for by other people- they’re not even sure who. The actual plan is to run their lives with government control. This man-child who has never held a real job has been handed a $115 billion budget. I suspect his staff will include a lot of turban wearers who don’t know any more than he does. He’s handing the Republicans a gift.

Is government nothing more than a criminal enterprise? There was an election, but it wasn't for mayor. It was for Boss. Organized crime has bosses. 'Government' will take your wealth, your rights, your freedom, and maybe even your life. Criminals behave in much the same way. People voted for this but look at the choices. There were no good choices. Do you think any of the candidates would have fixed NYC? It's broken beyond repair. That's the way the people running our 'government' want it. How many of these 'candidates' should be in jail? I wonder if the same can be said about our country.

This will be a good lesson for our country. When NYC hits what pilots call the "graveyard spiral" (other pilots know what that means), the excrement will hit the fan. First, an out flow of capital by the wealthier taxpayers moving out along with corporations. A lot of big companies will leave. Technology and the ability for remote work will make it easier for many to not have a large physical presence. One of my daughters, one of my grandsons and a former employee all work remotely now. Many companies no longer need a big corporate headquarters and the attendant costs will make those locations superfluous. The employees with the means to move will either leave completely and take other jobs or work remotely. The city will see their tax base crumble and brick and mortar stores will feel a reduction in sales. Crime, already a problem, will increase. That woman being burned to death by an illegal and other violent crime will diminish subway ridership and the Daniel Perrys won't bother to intervene to stop it. Those able to move or take early retirement will do so. We are getting a preview of the movie, "Escape From New York". It won't be that bad but more like a financial exodus. There is no reason talk shows like The Five or others have to have a physical presence in the city Technology will allow shows like that to move out and set up shop outside the dystopian inner part of NYC. This will not happen overnight A decline will start slowly then grow to an avalanche if the voters don't wake up. Apologies for the long rant but that once great city is going to hit some really greasy skids.

This is not a mandate for change but a continuation of the liberal agenda that has never left solid blue states and minority enclaves. Totally expected. These people will never go away. Ignorance is a powerful political tool wheeled with great effect by liberal democrats and a compliant media propaganda machine. Redistricting already in process including CA will gain Republicans seats in the House. If SOTUS strikes down forced minority districting in the upcoming case which seems likely, Republicans will gain additional seats leading to a significant majority for years to come.

For a number of years, the BBC’s coverage of climate change and related policy issues has been misinforming the public. It is often one-sided, misleading and sometimes even factually incorrect, with an absence of alternative views and inconvenient facts that might run counter to the BBC agenda. The Beeb – funded by licence-fee payers – blames climate change for nearly every bit of bad weather that comes along. It has long been a fervent backer of Net Zero and other climate policies but rarely tells the public how much it is costing them and how little effect such policies will in fact have.

Democrat California Governor Gavin Newsom attempted to come for the White House and President Donald Trump, trumpeting the integrity of his state's elections, and got hit with some embarrassing truths. It started on Tuesday with a Truth Social post from President Trump about the initiative on the ballot in CA, Proposition 50, which Newsom has made his pet project, pushing for its passage that would terminate the state's independent redistricting commission, allegedly, temporarily. If it passes, the Democrat-run state would be able to break apart predominantly Republican Congressional districts to get five more seats in Congress, further gerrymandering a state that has already been altered to benefit Democrats.

For Hamas, US President Donald J. Trump's peace plan, announced in early October, is evidently nothing but a temporary ceasefire, or hudna, that should be exploited to ensure that the terror group, with the help of Qatar and Turkey, expands its political and military control over the Gaza Strip. The terror group, however, has not been facing any difficulty in hunting down Palestinians suspected of "collaboration" with Israel or those who dared to criticize Hamas during the war. Hamas, in addition, is not in a hurry because it has a serious problem with phase two of the Trump plan, which requires the terror group to lay down and decommission its weapons.

Despite some setbacks, President Trump’s 20-point Gaza peace plan has been an unprecedented success because it quickly achieved its most important objective: the release of all live Israeli hostages held by Hamas. The U.S. and its Arab allies are working hard to pressure Hamas to agree to implement the rest of the deal to achieve a lasting Middle East peace. Trump officials will also be pressing European states to fully support the plan and not undermine it. The quick release of the Israeli hostages was considered impossible just a few weeks ago and reflected the high priority that President Trump and Prime Minister Netanyahu placed on quickly saving the lives -

Sherrill led by 12 points with 90% of ballots counted on Tuesday night after the highest turnout in a Garden State gubernatorial election in over a decade. Her electoral triumph marks the first time in the modern era that her party will control Drumthwacket for more than two consecutive terms.

Supreme Court justices on Wednesday morning expressed skepticism about the legality of aggressive tariffs imposed by President Donald Trump against most of the world's nations. Conservative and liberal justices sharply questioned Solicitor General D. John Sauer on the Trump administration's method for enacting the tariffs, which critics say infringes on the power of Congress to tax. Lower federal courts have ruled that Trump lacked the legal authority he cited under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act to impose the so-called reciprocal tariffs on imports from many U.S. trading partners, and fentanyl tariffs on products from Canada, China and Mexico.

Democrats dominated the first major Election Day since President Donald Trump returned to the White House. And while a debate about the future of the Democratic Party may have only just begun, there are signs that the economy — specifically, Trump’s inability to deliver the economic turnaround he promised last fall — may be a real problem for Trump’s GOP heading into next year’s higher-stakes midterm elections. Democrats on Tuesday won governor’s races in Virginia and New Jersey, the only states electing new chief executives this year. They also swept a trio of state Supreme Court contests in swing-state Pennsylvania and ballots measures from Colorado to Maine.

I hope you are proud of yourselves. You sure "owned" Donald Trump and MAGA. Yep. We hear all the time about decency being on the ballot and how "grab 'em by the pussy" was totally disqualifying. Trump is mean. He doesn't conform to the country's norms. Women, in particular, are all about decency, norms, and kindness I am told, and the vote totals clearly show that. (X) Well, what can I say? I'm totally convinced by your moralistic posturing! Now that I know that wishing a man and his children die in front of their mother is not disqualifying in your eyes, I am totally convinced.
