Tuesday wasn't the best day the Republican Party ever experienced. They lost key races in Virginia, New Jersey, and New York City, and the passage of Proposition 50 in California means that the once-Golden State will be gerrymandered to a fare-thee-well, and California's Republican congressional delegation will be pretty much extinct. (Snip) We will prove that there is no problem too large for government to solve, and no concern too small for it to care about. Wow. Just... wow. Consider all of the implications of that line. Consider what he means by this. First, on the "no problem too large"

Former President Joe Biden was spotted dining out in northern Virginia on Sunday with his old Pentagon chief, Lloyd Austin. Biden, 82, was flanked by Secret Service agents as he slowly made his way through the outdoor patio of Carbonara, an Italian restaurant in deep-blue Arlington, Va., video posted on social media showed. Some surprised diners gasped and applauded when they saw the former president amble into the restaurant. (Snip) Biden, who turns 83 later this month, was diagnosed with an aggressive form of prostate cancer that had metastasized to the bone in May. As he did during his first

The race for Minneapolis mayor did not conclude Tuesday night. With nearly 100 percent of precincts reporting, no candidate reached the threshold needed to be declared the winner after first choice ballots were tallied. Mayor Jacob Frey received nearly 42 percent of first choice votes. His closest challenger, state Sen. Omar Fateh, received nearly 32 percent. Minister DeWayne Davis and business owner Jazz Hampton are farther behind with 14 percent and 10 percent respectively. City officials say tabulation will continue at 9 a.m. Wednesday and into Thursday if necessary. Frey told supporters last night that he’s optimistic about his numbers.

A black producer laid off from CBS News this week has accused the company of racism by saying that all of his fired fellow colleagues were 'people of color.' Trey Sherman made the claim in a viral video posted to his TikTok account Wednesday, after CBS News' parent company announced sweeping layoffs across the organization. Sherman had worked for the now-cancelled 'CBS Evening News+' since February, as well as the network's just-eliminated Race and Culture Unit. 'Every person who gets to stay and will be relocated within the company is a white person.' Sherman then recounted a meeting he said

When you use skin color and chromosomes as criteria for filling positions of trust, as opposed to filling those positions with the best people regardless of skin color or chromosomes, you will not, unless by accident, get the best people for the job. No public figure in recent memory exemplifies this maxim more than Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson. But that does not even tell half of the story. (Snip) “Badly outnumbered, seated for the long haul of life tenure, Justices Kagan and Jackson in particular are divided on the best approach to jobs in which they are more

Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., criticized Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., on Thursday for not endorsing the Democrats’ New York City mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdan. Since he became the nominee, the Democratic Party has been embroiled in controversy over how to handle Mamdani’s rise due to his socialist policies and far-left views. (Snip) When asked whether religion plays a role at all, Omar replied, "Well, the tsunami of the anti-Muslim attacks that we are seeing is deeply concerning. And I would hope that the Democratic leader in the Senate would recognize that and would offer support not just to Mamdani

New York City mayoral favorite Zohran Mamdani (D) bashed both the cops and Israel in a wild, conspiratorial clip unearthed on X. (Snip) “For anyone to care about these issues, we have to make them [inaudible],” he continued. “We have to make clear that when the boot of the NYPD is on your neck, it’s been laced by the ID F.” “We are in a country where those connections abound. Especially in New York City, you have so many opportunities to make clear the ways in which that struggle over there is tied to capitalist interests over here,” added Mamdani.

Kamala Harris is ready for her comeback! That’s right, the candidate who has shown no particular talent for winning national presidential elections, or even achieving the nomination of her own party via democratic means, is very likely going to run again, in 2028. She said as much in a recent interview with the BBC. (Snip) What was true in the last election cycle, and in 2019, remains true now: Kamala Harris is a very, very weak candidate for the Democratic Party. When she pursued the presidency in 2019, her campaign faltered badly from the start: she demonstrated no real ability

PORTLAND, Maine — The newly hired campaign manager for U.S. Senate candidate Graham Platner is stepping down less than a week after he started working for the Maine oyster farmer and military veteran. In a statement shared with Maine's Total Coverage, Kevin Brown said he began managing Platner's campaign on Oct. 21 and found out just three days later that he and his wife have a baby on the way. (Snip) Platner's team provided video to "Pod Save America," a political podcast hosted by former aides to former President Barack Obama, which showed Platner had a skull-and-crossbones tattoo on his chest

WASHINGTON — The country’s largest union representing federal workers is calling for lawmakers to pass a short-term spending measure to immediately end the government shutdown, urging Democrats to abandon their current position and join Republicans in supporting a stopgap solution. (Snip) The statement could increase pressure on Democrats to budge from their stance. Senate Democrats have insisted that they won’t vote to reopen the government without a commitment from Republicans and President Donald Trump on extending health care subsidies through the Affordable Care Act, which are set to expire at the end of the year. Without them, health insurance premiums

The Instagram photos show Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz and his daughter Hope on a sunny autumn Sunday after they finished a 10-mile race during the Twin Cities Marathon weekend. The father-daughter duo trotted over cracked asphalt in Minneapolis-St. Paul on Oct. 5, race bibs pasted at his stomach and her right thigh. LOS ANGELES -- A new report from business review company Yelp gives Los Angeles the top spot for being the most rat-infested city in the United States. "Los Angeles earned the unenviable title of America's #1 rodent hotspot, with more Yelp searches for rodent services than any other city. Los Angeles's densely populated neighborhoods create the perfect hiding spots for these tiny trespassers, especially as drought conditions drive wildlife closer to homes in search of food and water," Yelp said in its Fall Infestation Index report. San Francisco came in at number two, while New York, which has achieved social media
