CNN’s Van Jones among those raising
alarm at Mamdani’s instant ‘character

Lefty luminary Van Jones was among those raising alarm at Democratic socialist mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani’s rage-filled victory speech, noting his instant “character switch” at winning power. A roaring Mamdani wasted no time in claiming a mandate for his potentially budget-busting progressive agenda and taunting President Trump as he rallied his fired-up supporters soon after winning Tuesday night. Jones was quick to note live on CNN that the 34-year-old’s triumphant demeanor was a far cry from the cool, calm and collected candidate seen on the campaign trail. “I think he missed an opportunity.

Comments:

Van Jones noticed a sudden change in Comrade Mamdani. Too late to see his real persona now, though.

“Potentially” budget-busting progressive agenda? The Post is kidding themselves. “Progressive ”? No: Communist. Van Jones is a self-declared Communist. He knows full well how they put on a nice face until they get elected. Madmani just let his mask slip a little too soon. Those brain-dead New Yorkers have no idea what’s going to happen to them. I can’t wait to see that entire city descend into madness. They deserve it. We should barricade all the streets going into New York, so they can’t escape.

As Poster 2 said, “brain-dead New Yorkers have no idea what’s going to happen to them . . .” And New Yorkers are so dumb that when the city comes undone, they’ll swallow the cries from Mamdani and the New York Times that the decay of New York City is President Trump’s fault. The templates are already saved on hard drives at the Times.

Poor naive Van Jones. He actually thinks that the Mandami he saw on the campaign trail is actually soft spoken and kind when in reality he is an aggressive Communist Islamist who wants to help Islam take over the world. Poor, Poor Van. Maybe he will wake up after this.Maybe the idiots in NYC will wake up too but I doubt it based on the fact that they have sent people like Nadler, Jeffries, Schumer, and AOC to be their representatives in Washington for the last 40 years.

The next shoe to drop is how well or not so well the Dem power brokers work together in NYC. The mayor does not have the power to do any of the socialist BS he is peddling. Will the governor agree to raise taxes and send all the money to NYC? I doubt it. Will the voters stand for turning the bus system into 24/7 homeless shelters? I doubt it. Will the shoplifters stop stealing since it is a government run grocery store? I doubt it. Talk is cheap.

As someone who lives in the Free State of Florida, I'll sit back and laugh at the stupid New Yorkers as they find out that communism/socialism isn't the Wonderland they think it's going to be. Only one thing...don't have second thoughts and move to Florida, there's always New Jersey or Massachusetts for a finer life. BTW, how many homeless tents can be set up on a city bus?

I'm thinking building border walls will be big business in Texas, Florida and Tennessee among other states where common sense reigns. Not to keep illegal immigrants out, but to monitor the movements of liberal refugees from New York City, New Jersey, and Virginia. In the latter case, children are at great risk from a new Governor who doesn't mind male perverts in the girls' locker room and a new AG who hunts Republicans and their "facist" children. Perhaps other states need to act with charity in cases from Virginia, but they need to tighten their control of the "we did it this way back home" liberals. My governor, Greg Abbott, has it right with a 100% "tariff" on New York refugees. :)

One man could be seen with blood gushing from his face after getting into a fight with an agitator as the campus event for the group was kicking off late Monday, Fox News reported. Police were spotted pulling the two men apart as anti-Turning Point demonstrators – including some donning keffiyehs – tried to intervene. Perhaps the greatest fallacy of the whole "our diversity is our strength" nonsense is the idea that people from Third World, or even post-Stone Age, low-trust societies can successfully set aside their culture and upbringing to function as members of a modern nation where their neighbor is a fellow citizen and not prey. Once upon a time, our education system was at least as devoted to developing citizens as it was to gender pronouns. Teachers took kids from rural Sicily, Jews from the ghettos of Poland and Russia, the kids of sharecroppers and coal miners; in fact, they took all comers and turned them into Americans

Target wants its employees to spread some holiday cheer — whether they like it or not, according to a report. The Minneapolis-based retailer issued a new directive mandating in-store workers smile and make eye contact and either greet or wave to any shopper that comes within 10 feet, according to Bloomberg News. If a customer steps within four feet, then the service rep is instructed to ask whether they need help or how their day is going, the new guidance said. Major retailers like Walmart and Disney have long used similar customer-greeting rules that require employees to smile, make eye contact and offer assistance when guests come within a set distance.

Hundreds of millions of smartphone users are now subject to porn bans and restrictions, as legislators in the U.S. and Europe either block adult websites completely or mandate identity and age verification checks on users accessing content. This plays into a fundamental misunderstanding of the way the global internet works. It also has drastic, long-term implications for the freedom of millions. And there are serious short-term threats as well, which has prompted a new Google warning. Whilst multiple U.S. states have enacted porn bans of various flavors, it is the U.K. that could be the trigger point for a more fundamental change to internet freedoms.

Kamala Harris is continuing her push toward yet another run for president, and that's leading to some awkward exchanges. As RedState reported, the failed 2024 Democrat nominee and former vice president is peddling a new book, doing her best to rewrite history in her favor. Part of that requires convincing Americans that she wasn't given a fair shot, both because of Joe Biden's late exit from the race and the dynamics surrounding President Donald Trump. The 42-day federal shutdown forced by Democrats thrust the economics of Obamacare into the limelight, and exposed an uncomfortable truth: An insurance industry whose executives are increasingly liberal donors has seen its earnings soar with the injection of taxpayer-funded subsidies that propped up Barack Obama's signature health program from collapse. The nation’s largest health insurance companies have seen good business since Obamacare was first passed in 2010 and fully implemented in 2014. This has come in no small part because of federal government subsidies to the insurance industry, which government estimates show totaled $1.8 trillion in 2023 alone.

Ernest Francis Fichtl Jr., from the Little Neck neighborhood of Queens, was killed during one of World War II’s bloodiest European battles and is buried at Netherlands American Cemetery and Memorial in Margraten. But until recently, his family back in New York did not know that his grave site is lovingly tended to by his adopted family in the Netherlands. And it’s not the only one. Anything to point out what China does wrong should spread far and wide. So, check back in next week for the young people stuff. Let's get to the Hongqi Bridge. You may have seen it on social media, but a portion
