Kamala Harris Wants to Lower the Voting
Age to 16. Her Reason Why Is Laughable.

Original Article

It hasn't been a banner month for Kamala Harris. A little less than a year from the day she lost the election, Harris is on a book tour (one that her fellow Dems are pretty sour on), and she's getting lambasted by foreign media for her role in covering up Joe Biden's cognitive decline. Despite these setbacks, Harris insists she's not done with politics, even though in August she told Stephen Colbert she was stepping away from "public service" because the "system is broken."

Comments:

Another illustration of The Cackler's unfitness for any public office. However, her basis for lowering the voting age to 16 is little weaker than the primary argument for lowering it to 18. I.e., "If you're old enough to fight, you're old enough to vote." I still remember an Eric Severeid commentary that explained that the very reason the military prefers 18-19 year-old recruits is because they are malleable and don't tend to think for themselves. If we want to make a positive change, we will increase the voting age back to 21 or even higher..

How many 16 year olds can even remember to do their homework much less vote for people who may institute policies they will be responsible for when they are actual adults? Better to raise it back to 21, which will require a constitutional amendment and would not be easy, I'm afraid, due to how it was written (which could be unconstitutional).

The right to vote was controlled by the that didn't want to lower the age to 18 from 21. Scotus said they had to follow the federal law for federal positions. They vould have a separate ballot for local spots that made it messy for states who then lowered the state age. About 1971.

This idea is almost as dumb as her book, which is an obvious instrument to slip her campaign donations, just like Barry and Michelle's books did for them. People at age 16 have one thing on their minds and it's not politics. The woman is so stupid and the book is so terribly written and full of vulgarity that no person with an IQ over 60 could get through it without gagging. Compare that to Eric Trump's superb book that is accurate and a real shocker on what the entire Trump family had to endure since the 2020 election theft. Kaamalala has failed at everything in life so the last thing we need is her in the White House.

Re # 14. At one time, only free men of property were allowed to vote. I wouldn't go that far, but 18 and over with verifiable photo ID and US citizens only. There is nothing unconstitutional about that. We can't vote in, say, Canada's election. Why should we allow migrants, illegal or legal, or foreign citizens from anywhere to vote in ours. Well, we know why. Allowing the dregs of the world to vote here will eventually give the Dems what they want, permanent power.

he Democratic Party is in sad shape, by its own self-report and in the view of most observers. At the same time, the party is seemingly more progressive and more dominated by progressives than it has been for a good long time. Are the two things related? Yes, they are—but not in the way most people think. The problem isn’t that progressives have made the party too progressive; the problem is rather that today’s progressives aren’t really progressive in the true sense of the term and as a result have led the party into a number of political cul-de-sacs that have nothing to do with progress and dramatically undermine its appeal.

Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard has declassified a trove of documents that expose how the Obama administration faked the January 2017 intelligence report to falsely accuse Trump of colluding with Russia. The evidence includes a 2020 House Intelligence Committee report, which confirms that despite no cyber interference from Russia, Obama pushed for a new intelligence community assessment (ICA) in late 2016 to shape a narrative that Putin was helping Trump. It was all part of a desperate attempt to undermine a duly elected president.
