It hasn't been a banner month for Kamala Harris. A little less than a year from the day she lost the election, Harris is on a book tour (one that her fellow Dems are pretty sour on), and she's getting lambasted by foreign media for her role in covering up Joe Biden's cognitive decline.
Despite these setbacks, Harris insists she's not done with politics, even though in August she told Stephen Colbert she was stepping away from "public service" because the "system is broken."

How many 16 year olds can even remember to do their homework much less vote for people who may institute policies they will be responsible for when they are actual adults?
Better to raise it back to 21, which will require a constitutional amendment and would not be easy, I'm afraid, due to how it was written (which could be unconstitutional).

Kamala did NOT cover up Biden's dementia. That would take more brain power than it appears she possesses. Cackle, cackle, snort!

Proving once again it takes her an hour and a half to watch 60 Minutes......

Why not a 'family' vote. If one has eight kids, shouldn't they get more votes than a family with two kids? This would work well for Dems.

I think she helped cover up FJB's dementia, but not intentionally, nor even consciously. Next to Kamala's frequent word salads and manifest idiocy, his dementia was less starkly obvious. Thumb up for O.P. comment.

I joined the Navy at age 18 (1968). I had to become a responsible man. When I would visit home I noticed my old high school mates hadn't changed. After returning from SE Asia I was invited to one of their frat parties. I was embarrassed for their behavior and no longer congregated with them.
But their vote counted same as mine.

They need more freshly brainwashed voters that are provided by our 'wonderful' education system. Older brainwashed voters are more likely to break free of their conditioning.

Kam wants 16 year old children to vote because their minds are essentially mush (unless they're being raised by conservative parents). Mush-minded voters of any age are the dems bread and butter. The more of them, the better.

If you put a flashlight up against her left ear the light would go right out the right ear. If you were to asked her how to spell "A" she would have to find a dictionary.

Only if they can also smoke, drink, be charged as adults for crimes, rent cars, sign contracts, etc. They are either adults or they are not. Choose a point.

Perhaps we should make the voting age the same as the age that their parents no longer have to carry them on their Medical Insurance.

I believe their should be an English reading and comprehension test to vote. Why are we allowing those who cannot speak or comprehend English to vote?

The right to vote was controlled by the that didn't want to lower the age to 18 from 21. Scotus said they had to follow the federal law for federal positions. They vould have a separate ballot for local spots that made it messy for states who then lowered the state age. About 1971.

So in Kamala "logic", 12-year-olds are mature enough to get abortions or change their "gender", and 16-year-olds are mature enough to vote, but 18-year-olds are too immature to understand that they have to repay student loans?!?!?!?
Yes, if this is the best the Demon-Rat Party can throw at us these days, our society is doomed!!!!!

Kamala, I know you think that you are the smartest person in the room and that everyone else is an idiot, but that is not the case. We all know that you want 16 year old kids to vote because you know they tend to be liberals in training and you need to replace all the votes from the minorities who no longer vote for Dems and their BS.

This idea is almost as dumb as her book, which is an obvious instrument to slip her campaign donations, just like Barry and Michelle's books did for them. People at age 16 have one thing on their minds and it's not politics. The woman is so stupid and the book is so terribly written and full of vulgarity that no person with an IQ over 60 could get through it without gagging. Compare that to Eric Trump's superb book that is accurate and a real shocker on what the entire Trump family had to endure since the 2020 election theft. Kaamalala has failed at everything in life so the last thing we need is her in the White House.

They would march these high school sophomores down the hall to the voting machines. The right vote would mean an easy A in civics class. That's just me being sarcastic. The teacher's unions would NEVER do that. Oops. There i go again....

Re # 14. At one time, only free men of property were allowed to vote. I wouldn't go that far, but 18 and over with verifiable photo ID and US citizens only. There is nothing unconstitutional about that. We can't vote in, say, Canada's election. Why should we allow migrants, illegal or legal, or foreign citizens from anywhere to vote in ours. Well, we know why. Allowing the dregs of the world to vote here will eventually give the Dems what they want, permanent power.

Another illustration of The Cackler's unfitness for any public office. However, her basis for lowering the voting age to 16 is little weaker than the primary argument for lowering it to 18. I.e., "If you're old enough to fight, you're old enough to vote." I still remember an Eric Severeid commentary that explained that the very reason the military prefers 18-19 year-old recruits is because they are malleable and don't tend to think for themselves. If we want to make a positive change, we will increase the voting age back to 21 or even higher..
