As RedState reported, Republican senators held a press conference on Wednesday, and what they revealed about the Arctic Frost scandal was incredibly disturbing. Describing it as "worse than Watergate," Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) presented evidence that 92 different conservative organizations or individuals were targeted by Jack Smith and the Biden-era Department of Justice. All of this was done under the guise of going after President Donald Trump over the 2020 election, and eight GOP senators also had their phone records subpoenaed, among other intrusions. That's where things get even crazier. According to Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), infamous left-wing Judge James Boasberg was near the heart of this scandal,

In the wake of Hurricane Melissa, everyone should be praying for rapid relief to many who suffered injuries or the loss of loved ones (at least 49 died), homes, businesses, and other property, likely to surpass $8 billion. At the same time, we can be thankful that losses were far lower than they might have been, since its path didn’t include areas with far more people and property.

Most Americans oppose the demolition of the White House's East Wing to make way for President Donald Trump's ballroom, according to an ABC News/Washington Post/Ipsos poll conducted using Ipsos’ KnowledgePanel.
A 56% majority of Americans oppose the Trump administration tearing down the East Wing of the White House as part of the construction of a 90,000-square-foot ballroom paid for by $300 million in private donations, including 45% who "strongly" oppose it, the poll finds. (Snip) Just 28% of Americans support it, with 15% strongly supporting the East Wing being torn down for a ballroom, the poll found. Another 16% say they are not sure.

Officials shared in the release that on the federal level, Holbert is now facing a charge of felon in possession of a firearm. Officers booked Holbert after the shooting near 13th and Howard streets that injured a 28-year-old man.

Rare earths have been in the news. I wrote here about the Trump administration’s agreement with Australia to develop rare earth deposits in that country, and Trump announced today that his trade agreement with China includes a one-year pause on China’s imposition of export controls on rare earths.
Rare earths, happily, are not rare. But they are only one instance of a broader issue–our government’s suicidal decision to rely on other countries, in most cases China, for minerals that are absolutely vital to both our economy and our national security. This was a conscious decision that must be reversed immediately.
