Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., criticized Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., on Thursday for not endorsing the Democrats’ New York City mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdan. Since he became the nominee, the Democratic Party has been embroiled in controversy over how to handle Mamdani’s rise due to his socialist policies and far-left views. (Snip) When asked whether religion plays a role at all, Omar replied, "Well, the tsunami of the anti-Muslim attacks that we are seeing is deeply concerning. And I would hope that the Democratic leader in the Senate would recognize that and would offer support not just to Mamdani

Comments:

Chuckie is slowly learning that Ilhan and her ilk can never be appeased. She plays the Islamophobia card for good measure.

Just going to say it, the anti-Semitic issue is not about Islam. It is ex-Christian and ex-Jewish unbelievers who are hiding behind Islam and throwing rocks in its name at Judaism and Christianity both.... Leaving an isolated and oddly-dressed minority to bear the barrage that is returned. Islam does not hate God. White liberal progressives hate God. Believing Muslims, like true Jews and Christians, are ready to love whoever truly prays. To share our adoration and cry out together, "Thou Art the All-Beautiful." Liberal progressives want to see all those who truly adore our Maker, flayed.

The race for Minneapolis mayor did not conclude Tuesday night. With nearly 100 percent of precincts reporting, no candidate reached the threshold needed to be declared the winner after first choice ballots were tallied. Mayor Jacob Frey received nearly 42 percent of first choice votes. His closest challenger, state Sen. Omar Fateh, received nearly 32 percent. Minister DeWayne Davis and business owner Jazz Hampton are farther behind with 14 percent and 10 percent respectively. City officials say tabulation will continue at 9 a.m. Wednesday and into Thursday if necessary. Frey told supporters last night that he’s optimistic about his numbers.

Democrats dominated the first major Election Day since President Donald Trump returned to the White House. And while a debate about the future of the Democratic Party may have only just begun, there are signs that the economy — specifically, Trump’s inability to deliver the economic turnaround he promised last fall — may be a real problem for Trump’s GOP heading into next year’s higher-stakes midterm elections. Democrats on Tuesday won governor’s races in Virginia and New Jersey, the only states electing new chief executives this year. They also swept a trio of state Supreme Court contests in swing-state Pennsylvania and ballots measures from Colorado to Maine.

Lone Star State Republicans revised their maps mid-decade, redrawing lines in such a way that Republicans could gain five seats during next year’s midterms.
