Democrats on Tuesday voted for the 13th time to keep the federal government shut — as Senate Majority Leader John Thune told The Post there was an easy fix to ensure millions of Americans won’t lose access to SNAP food payments.
“The simplest way to end it and the simplest way to make sure that people are getting the food assistance they need is to pick up the bill and give us five votes,” Thune said in an exclusive interview as the Senate failed to reopen the government in a 54-45 vote.
“And we’ll, we’ll send it to the president. It’ll be signed into law.”

I am so tired of stupid. They have been voting for these clean bills since the beginning of time. I am over listening to these people spout crap that drips out of their mouths and down their chins. If the ACA needs that much in taxpayer money to keep it afloat (even though it is junk insurance) IT IS NOT WORKING. For 15 years it has been a mess and I don't see that changing. The dems are disingenuous hypocrites. And now SNAP. I have no doubt there is a certain segment of our society that riot for no good reason will gladly steal whatever they can get their hands on. And it will not be just food. This is going to snowball in ways that AOC and her ilk have not thought through. I have been prepping since FJB got elected. I am ready. I did go shopping yesterday for some fresh meat and a few favorites. Today I stocked up on pet supplies. I will be fine but there are those who won't be and they will cause chaos. I have no doubt some of these groups are having coffee and donuts and discussing their plans for Saturday. Lock and load, people. Keep your head on a swivel and watch your back. I have no doubt some will be prowling grocery store parking lots. AOC is wrong. They are insane.

The Republican Senators need to confirm Trump's nominees 1,000 at a time, until all are confirmed, then shut the Senate down.

On October 28, 2025, U.S. Senator Tim Sheehy(R-MT) was noted as not voting on a bill to end the ongoing government shutdown. 54-45.

Most SNAP recipients are overweight hogs, that should tell us something. The government is not interested in feeding people, democrats are buying votes, pure and simple, Most children are the progeny of single mothers and none of them will go hungry before the end of the year, if ever. I would wager that ALL of them have cell phones and cable TV. If you polling agency people want to do something useful, do it there.

FTA: Roughly 83% of households that receive SNAP benefits either have children, or an elderly or disabled person living there.
SO: Over 17% of SNAP recipients are employment aged, able bodied people with no children or elderly people they are caring for. No reason not to go get a J-O-B. SNAP costs $9 BILLION each month. Reducing that by 17% is $18.4 BILLION annually.

When does SSI and Veterans disability funding run out?
With Thanksgiving right around the corner and Christmas in 56 days, the democrats are probably beginning to sweat. Those Soros bucks are only going to keep their base funded for so long.

Great news.
Now let's start cleaning out those SNAP benefit grifters. Cutting about 35 million would be a good start.

The shutdown should be an opportunity to stop paying the ruling critters permanently. They need to work from home anyway, and I do mean their homes in their respective states. Mitch McConnell truly needs to be dragged out of office since he won't/can't leave on his own. I am ashamed of what we call representative government because of the majority of those idiots in office. It's like a curse.

The Dems are heading to yet another civil war for control of the party.
The AOC/Bernie wing will demand everything, while the more sane Dems will realize that everyone blames them for the government shutdown and all of the subsequent suffering.
Schumer is toast either way.
The Dems really screwed up this one. They forgot that Trump never brings a knife to a gun fight.
