Katie Porter threatened to walk out of an interview with a local CBS News affiliate after the reporter asked several follow-up questions about whether her support for Democrats’ congressional redistricting measure would alienate Republican voters.
The on-camera sitdown with Porter, a frontrunner in the gubernatorial race, grew confrontational after the reporter, Julie Watts, asked: “What do you say to the 40 percent of California voters — who you’ll need in order to win — who voted for Trump?”

Attorney General Pam Bondi got into a heated exchange with Democratic Sen. Richard Blumenthal (Conn.), accusing him of “lying” about his military record when asked about the lobbying activities of her former firm, Ballard Partners.
The back-and-forth took place during a Senate Judiciary Committee oversight hearing with Bondi on Tuesday.(snip)That prompted an indignant response from Bondi, who immediately pivoted to accusing Blumenthal of lying about his military record.
“Sen. Blumenthal, I cannot believe that you would accuse me of impropriety when you lied about your military service. You lied, you admitted you lied to be elected a U.S. senator,” she said, speaking over Blumenthal.

Virginia Democrats have taken up the task of defending attorney general candidate Jay Jones after newly surfaced text messages show Jones fantasizing about murdering Republicans and their children. A group of Democrat committees rushed to Jones’ defense, insisting, “Let those without sin cast the first stone” — as if calling for the murder of an opponent and his children is a common human mistake.
In a newly released 2022 exchange with Republican House Delegate Carrie Coyner, Jones said it would be a “good thing” if his former legislative colleague’s children died.

Virginia’s Democrat candidates for governor and lieutenant governor, Abigail Spanberger and Ghazala Hashmi, are refusing to withdraw their support for Democrat Jay Jones’ attorney general bid after the latter’s comments fantasizing about shooting a Republican lawmaker became public.
The revelation comes after the Friday release of a bombshell National Review report disclosing 2022 text messages Jones sent to a GOP state legislator. As The Federalist’s Breccan Thies summarized, the Democrat now running to serve as Virginia’s chief law enforcement officer mused “about assassinating then-state House Speaker Todd Gilbert, a Republican, and ‘wished’ death upon Gilbert’s children.”

state court ruling late last week ordering the Wisconsin Elections Commission to deal with its dirty voter rolls could have national implications in the election-integrity battle to ensure only U.S. citizens vote in U.S. elections.
Waukesha County Circuit Judge Michael Maxwell issued writ of mandamus requiring the state’s election regulator check Wisconsin’s voter registration list for noncitizens. The judge enjoined the Elections Commission and local elections offices from accepting voter registrations without first verifying the citizenship status of the applicant.

This is exactly as expected. Larry Ellison now controls TikTok while his son David Ellison now controls Paramount/Skydance which is CBS. To solidify the objective of TikTok, new algorithms will be implemented, while to solidify the objective of CBS, Bari Weiss is hired as Editor-in-Chief of news.(snip)]The Trump administration assisted both the purchase of TikTok by Larry Ellison, and the acquisition of Paramount by David Ellison. CBS settled with President Trump for $16 million. Paramount then purchases/acquires Bari Weiss online site The Free Press and moves Weiss to editor of CBS news, while President Trump triggers a tariff against Hollywood production movies not made

A combination of ideology, social media, mental health disorders, and medication may be influencing recent trends in violence and radicalization among those who identify as transgender, according to experts.
“My general feeling is that we’re seeing more of it ... not for any one factor, but because of several factors all convening, and they’re all amplified by the political rhetoric,” said C. Alan Hopewell, a Fort Worth neuropsychologist.
When people struggling with their sexual identity are prescribed hormones to change their bodies, it impacts the way they think, he told The Epoch Times.

Friend of the Treehouse John Spiropoulos has put together a series of videos explaining how President Obama, FBI Director James Comey and CIA Director John Brennan constructed a coverup to hide their political surveillance operation. Today there are two video segments that deserve focus. (snip) Pay particular attention to the person who actually triggered the cancellation of the December 9, 2016, Presidential Daily Brief. It wasn’t Obama, it was James Comey.
From a risk management perspective, initially the surveillance and spying operation was a low-risk endeavor.m(snip)Donald Trump was not expected to win the election. When he did, all of the participants were suddenly at risk

Assistant Attorney General Harmeet Dhillon sent a message Friday to the anarchist-abetting Portland Police Bureau (PPB) and Portland’s leftist city attorney: unlawful policing will not be tolerated.
Dhillon, who heads up the Department of Justice’s Civil Rights Division, said her office has launched an investigation into Portland law enforcement after Antifa thugs allegedly attacked independent reporters during increasingly violent riots at the Immigration and Customs Enforcement Facility in South Portland
Police arrested Nick Sortor on Thursday on disorderly conduct charges following an altercation with the leftist protesters.

The heart of the European industrial economy is Germany, and there’s major trouble afoot within the largest industrial sector within Germany.
Following the “Build Back Better” agenda, the EU went all in for green energy proposals. EU banking and finance followed suit, funding investment capital for electric vehicles (EVs) to replace combustion engines. Unfortunately, this put the EU, specifically Germany, in the position of competing against the largest EV industrial base in the world, China
The second major flaw was capital only flowing to the EV sector, and Europeans -along with the majority of the industrial west- are just not buying EVs at a production capacity to match prior investment.

Affirming a decision that was made in May 2025, and subsequently blocked by an ideological lower court ruling, the U.S. Supreme Court has again affirmed Secretary Kristi Noem can remove the Temporary Protect Status (TPS) from Venezuelan migrants and deport them back to their home country [RULING HERE].(Image)Once again, the Obama/Biden installed Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson, outlined a dissent from the majority, framed around emotional opposition to President
