Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union,” Sen. Ruben Gallego (D-AZ) called Secretary of War Pete Hegseth a “laughing stock.”
Host Jake Tapper said, “You’re a veteran, so I would be remiss if I didn’t ask you what you thought of Secretary Hegseth and President Trump’s discussion before the generals at Quantico?”
Gallego said, “I think it’s absolutely ridiculous. It was number one — it politicizes more the military, which is what you don’t want to do. As someone who has sat in briefings of that nature, it really tells you what’s happening. You know, it’s definitely clear that the Secretary of Defense is trying to compensate for something.

Her Grace Chelsea Clinton — Queen of the Nepo-Babies, Heir to the Neoliberal Throne — has announced a brand-new podcast in which she resurrects the long-discredited “fact-check” scam in order to counter MAHA “misinformation.”
(Chelsea’s new podcast coincidentally happens to be the exact same in mission and scope as her failed previous podcast, “In Fact with Chelsea Clinton,” which lasted less than a year.)
Aside from (mis)informing listeners about all manner of health issues, the stated goal of the podcast is to help stand up an army of liberal talking-point robots programmed to “debunk misinformation over coffee, cocktails or wherever it might come up.”

A federal judge in Oregon temporarily blocked the Trump administration’s plan to deploy hundreds of National Guard troops to Portland — the same day federal agents unleashed tear gas and mace on anti-ICE agitators after more than 100 straight days of unrest.
US District Judge Karin Immergut, a Trump nominee, ruled Saturday that deploying active-duty troops to secure the “war ravaged” Oregon city would violate the US Constitution and federal law barring military involvement in domestic law enforcement.
“The relationship between the federal government and the states, between the military and domestic law enforcement, and the balance of powers between the executive,

The Democrats have backed themselves into a corner again, and this time, it’s not just political theater—it’s a standoff with serious consequences. The Schumer Shutdown is dragging into its second week, and President Donald Trump is done waiting for Democrats to come around. The message from the White House is crystal clear: if the talks with Democrats “are absolutely going nowhere,” as National Economic Council Director Kevin Hassett put it, mass layoffs of federal workers are coming.
The shutdown began when Senate Democrats refused to support a short-term funding bill that would have kept government agencies running through November 21. Their justification?

Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Kristi Noem appeared on "Fox and Friends Weekend" on Sunday and revealed something pretty startling: Cartels and other terrorist organizations are now placing bounties on the heads of specific federal immigration agents.
In a move she called "dangerous and unprecedented," she said these groups are offering $2,000 for the capture of these agents or $10,000 for their murders. "Our intelligence indicates that these people are organized," she said, adding, "They're getting more and more people on their team as far as attacking officers, and they're making plans to ambush them and to kill them."

A Build-A-Bear Workshop employee in Tukwila, Washington, allegedly refused to allow a 16-year-old girl to name her stuffed bear after slain conservative icon Charlie Kirk, crumpling up the commemorative birth certificate that comes with each teddy and tossing it in the trash.
Evi McCormick, 16, visited the Build-A-Bear store at Southcenter Mall with friends on Friday to create a special teddy bear in memory of Charlie Kirk, the founder of Turning Point USA, who was tragically assassinated on September 10 while speaking at Utah Valley University.

The movie posters of James Bond pictures usually featured an armed 007, surrounded by a montage of exotic locations, villains, lairs, action scenes, gadgets, and the alluring heroines. (X, X, X, X) There were also the minimalist posters that only featured the film's leading actor, in a dinner jacket, posing with his Walther PPK. Occasionally, even the villains participated in posing for similar stills. All these posters conveyed a message that Bond is a steadfast proponent and protector of the West. He was also an aspirational figure -- a fearless patriot who enjoyed the luxuries that men dream of.
The posters were in synch with the minimalist, mysterious,

The Treasury Department is reviewing a proposal to mint new $1 coins featuring President Donald Trump’s image as part of the upcoming commemoration of America’s 250th anniversary, FOX Business reported Friday.
In a statement provided to FOX Business, a Treasury spokesperson tied the proposed coin to the broader effort to honor the nation’s founding.
“Despite the radical left’s forced shutdown of our government, the facts are clear: Under the historic leadership of President Donald J. Trump, our nation is entering its 250th anniversary stronger, more prosperous, and better than ever,” the spokesperson said.

Democrats are facing growing concern in New Jersey as the state’s gubernatorial race tightens and new data shows Republicans gaining an early advantage in mail-in voting ahead of the November election.
Updated figures this week indicate that Republican ballot returns have surpassed Democrats for the first time in the 2025 cycle, reflecting a shift that has intensified challenges for Rep. Mikie Sherrill’s campaign against former state lawmaker Jack Ciattarelli. According to election analyst Michael Pruser, 18.6 percent of all mail-in ballots returned so far are from Republican voters, compared to 16.6 percent from Democrats and 9.3 percent from other parties.

Saturday, during an appearance on MSNBC, Vanity Fair special correspondent Molly Jong-Fast touted recently announced Super Bowl halftime act Bad Bunny as a “great messenger.”
According to Jong-Fast, Bad Bunny represented the values of the Democratic Party.
“[W] hat’s important about the op ed I wrote in The New York Times and Bad Bunny,” she said. “Bad Bunny represents a lot of the values that right now the Democratic Party should. I mean, you know, the idea that Puerto Rico is part of America, that we shouldn’t be racist against people who come from, I mean, like, these are easy ideas.”

A federal judge on Sunday temporarily blocked the Trump administration from deploying any National Guard units to Oregon, including the California National Guard.
California and Oregon sought the temporary restraining order after the president sent guard members from California to Oregon earlier in the day.
On Saturday, the same judge temporarily blocked the administration from deploying Oregon National Guard troops to Portland.
A Pentagon spokesperson said in a statement that about 200 federalized members of the California National Guard who had been on duty around Los Angeles were being reassigned to Portland. Oregon Gov. Tina Kotek said about 100 arrived Saturday and around 100 more were en route Sunday.
