The heart of the European industrial economy is Germany, and there’s major trouble afoot within the largest industrial sector within Germany. Following the “Build Back Better” agenda, the EU went all in for green energy proposals. EU banking and finance followed suit, funding investment capital for electric vehicles (EVs) to replace combustion engines. Unfortunately, this put the EU, specifically Germany, in the position of competing against the largest EV industrial base in the world, China The second major flaw was capital only flowing to the EV sector, and Europeans -along with the majority of the industrial west- are just not buying EVs at a production capacity to match prior investment.

FTA: "Put it all together and Germany is trying to compete with China to produce a product their consumer base doesn’t want." More insanity brought on by the globalist-climatic crazy alliance. People do NOT WANT EVs in any significant numbers. Governments can order and roar, but people will NOT buy them. And consumers can hang on to their older vehicles for at least a decade or more, and the auto companies cannot survive that long on a tiny fraction of their sales. Another issue that isn't mentioned in this article is that the cost of electricity and fuel in EU is INSANE. We paid $8 per gallon for gasoline in France by going to the cheap stations. Other stations were substantially more. Germany is paying 40 cents per kilowatt-hour of electricity. This crushes profits in industry. This is 2.66 times what we pay here in Kansas.

Parts of the US are in the same boat. Gas cars banned by 2035. My peak time SDG&E electricity rate is over 73 cents and rising. So don't tell me how good they have it in Germany. I do believe SDG&E has just about the highest rates in the world. Also gas is still about $5 and rising.

If you already have a BMW, Audi or Porsche, make friends with your mechanic or take a good technical course in the fine art of car repair. Those dealerships are going to sink quickly. It's amazing how sensible people predicted the future of the EV when the first ones hit the market and the heads of the biggest car companies swallowed not only the hook, line and sinker but the entire boat.

How to wreck an economy: 1. Go all electric for cooking, building and water heating. Switch to electric for all vehicles. 2. Shut down reliable fossil fuel and nuclear power plant. 3. Switch to unreliable and more costly solar and wind power product. 4. Mandate this done in a short period of time. What is wrong with this? You are switching to a single type of energy that is unreliable, more costly and from sources not ready for prime time. And, you are greatly increasing the demand for which the infrastructure does not exist. Not to mention that sabotage of the infrastructure would shut down all power.
