Using his Truth Social account, President Donald Trump expresses his appreciation to radical leftists and Democrats for providing the “unprecedented opportunity,” within their government shutdown, to permanently downsize the federal government. “I have a meeting today with Russ Vought, he of PROJECT 2025 Fame, to determine which of the many Democrat Agencies, most of which are a political SCAM, he recommends to be cut, and whether or not those cuts will be temporary or permanent. I can’t believe the Radical Left Democrats gave me this unprecedented opportunity. They are not stupid people, so maybe this is their way of wanting to, quietly and quickly, MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”

Virginia’s attorney general is blasting woke county officials for refusing to arrest a sex offender who claimed to be a woman so he could walk into girls’ locker rooms — and said there was clear evidence that he was “hunting” little girls at pools and water parks in the tony Washington, DC, suburb.
Richard Cox, a prolific, 58-year-old registered sex offender, allegedly exposed himself to little girls and women in the girls’ locker rooms. He was also found with child pornography and a schedule of girls’ swim class schedules at Fairfax County rec centers on his phone, cops said.
Virginia’s Fairfax County claims there is no “probable cause” to charge Richard Cox, a Tier III registered sex offender, for allegedly exposing himself to women and girls.
Fairfax County’s refusal to charge Cox comes despite an Arlington detective’s testimony that Cox was in possession of child pornography and Fairfax County children’s swim class schedules, Cox’s previous alleged admission of his own compulsions to expose himself, and witnesses claiming that he exposed himself to women and girls in Fairfax County recreation centers’ locker rooms, ABC 7 News’ Nick Minock reported. A gunman was "down" after setting a fire and shooting multiple people at a Michigan church where hundreds were attending service on Sunday, authorities said.

The Department of Energy canceled a $630.6 million Biden-era grant that would have funded green energy projects in California, and which Gov. Gavin Newsom (D.) praised as "critical" to the state, the Washington Free Beacon has learned.
According to internal agency documents, Trump Energy Department officials determined that the grant would have been used primarily to support new solar and wind energy projects. State leaders said they planned to use the funding to upgrade 100 miles of transmission lines to enable more green energy to come online as part of the California Energy Commission's so-called CHARGE 2T program.
