MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell is weighing a 2026 bid for Minnesota governor, according to a news report Friday. Lindell is a strong supporter of President Donald Trump and is known for promoting claims about 2020 election fraud. He previously floated a bid for Minnesota governor in 2022 but decided against it, and also campaigned for become chairman of the Republican National Committee. The CEO said he recently re-established residency in Minnesota after living in Texas. “We’re about 99 percent there,” Lindell told the Minnesota Star Tribune.

I don't see this happening. Minnesota is deep, deep blue state. Pretty much a lost cause. After another generation, the state will likely leave the union and declare themselves the Republic of Minnesotastan.

Lindell can come across as an annoying huckster but an American with a cross around his neck beats the silly pedophile that Minnesota has now. Surely the residents up there have been abused and embarrassed enough.

The residents of Minnesota get the Government they like. Evidently they like what they have now. Lindell hasn't got a prayer.

If you are a Republican in a hardcore Democrat state, you have virtually no representation. Democrats take over all large cities and then all medium cities. Eventually they control both US Senate seats, all Congressional districts, state legislatures, the state AG, and the governor's office. Wish Lindell all the best, but it's probably impossible for him to win. Not sure it should be called representative government when the minority, which could be as much as 40% of the population, has no representation.

He doesn't have the proverbial snowball's chance and he knows it. The press will relentlessly smear him but he gets the opportunity to state his views and get them to the public. The media will have to cover him and he gets a bullhorn that may convince a few Minnesotans to see the light. Every little bit helps but I hope he has good security. The left no longer supports free speech and the nutters will try anything to shut up anyone who simply dares to even disagree with them.

Milton Friedman pointed out that when a crisis forces people to demand change "they will choose among the ideas that are lying around." Minnesota will benefit even if Lindell succeeds only in adding a few sensible ideas to the mix.

When we first got close to Dot, DoorDash’s new delivery robot, we looked right into its big blue, pixelated eyes and gave it a kick. A little one. A tap, really. It’s not WIRED’s policy to be mean to 350-pound hunks of plastic on wheels. But it’s a big, cruel world out there, and delivery robots like Dot will have to face—are already facing, because Dot has just started doing deliveries in metro Phoenix—myriad dangers and challenges. So many challenges, in fact, that although companies are making big strides in autonomous vehicles—two more companies launched public rides in the US just this month—delivery robots like Dot have followed a rockier road.

This week, federal officials made an astounding announcement: Nearly half of all immigrants in greater Minneapolis were found to have committed some form of immigration fraud. The fraud, uncovered in a September sweep, came in all kinds — sham marriages, fake death certificates and “other bizarre schemes,” as US Citizenship and Immigration Services Director Joseph Edley put it. But the revelation was no great surprise to those of us who have followed the settlement of some 100,000 Somali immigrants in Minnesota over the past three decades. As far back as 2008, the State Department temporarily suspended one of the family reunification programs used by Somali immigrants when DNA testing of applicants

After almost 20 years, PBS is reviving its fan-favorite “Reading Rainbow” kids educational show—this time, with a cast of woke hosts. If you were looking for another reason to justify the defunding of PBS, now you have one. “Reading Rainbow,” trademarked by the Western New York Public Broadcasting Association, first aired in 1983 to help kids continue reading through the summer to keep their minds sharp and avoid the “summer loss” phenomenon. The read-along show ran for 26 years until funding dried up in the 2000s. But on Monday, “Reading Rainbow” posted a short video announcing a new season—meeting with fanfare from

In fact, it reminded me of why I once turned to one of history’s greatest Anglicans, the legendary Christian author C.S. In a video posted to YouTube on Tuesday, a reporter from the Catholic television network EWTN asked Pope Leo XIV to help people of faith understand a decision by Cardinal Blase Cupich, Archbishop of Chicago, to honor pro-abortion Democratic Sen. To the clowns on the Left who think that Charlie Kirk will be forgotten in five years, you’re about to get wrecked. First, most predictions by liberals are trash. They thought Trump couldn’t win again: he steamrolled back into the White House. These people are unhinged, unserious, and unrelatable. Mute their whining, because it’s just incoherent garbage anyway. Kirk was assassinated while answering questions on September 10 at Utah Valley University in Orem. Since then, the outpouring of prayers and calls to action has caught the attention of one unlikely demographic—older Americans.

The flying of the Chinese flag over Philadelphia City Hall to promote cultural ties has been criticized as supporting the authoritarian government in Beijing. The flag’s raising by the city’s Office of Immigrant Affairs is to mark the anniversary of the founding of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and promote cultural exchange between Philadelphia and its Chinese sister city, Tianjin, according to reports. But it has prompted an angry appeal by a U.S. lawmaker to Philadelphia Mayor Cherelle Parker to scrap the plan.

War Secretary Pete Hegseth announced Tuesday a slew of new personnel fitness and grooming directives going after “fat general” and “beardos” in the military. The new directives will require all military members to pass two fitness tests a year, regardless of rank, and to meet the highest combat standards previously reserved only for men, Hegseth said during his speech at Quantico to senior military leaders. He also announced he would strictly enforce grooming standards for all military members, with exceptions for special operations forces. Hegseth made elevating standards a top priority of his tenure after years of declining standards often intended to lower barriers to entry and attract more recruits.

Kathryn Nester, Robinson’s lawyer, told Judge Tony Graf in the Provo courtroom that she needs at least another month to weigh through a massive amount of documents before further discussion about a preliminary hearing. Graf set another waiver hearing for 10 a.m. Mountain Standard Time Oct. 30, and the prosecution and defense had no objections to the date and time.

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D., N.Y.) argued that the Republican bill to fund the government “has not one iota of Democratic input.”
