This has not yet been confirmed by the Justice Department. But we can hope! An off-duty cop was pushed onto the subway tracks at a Manhattan L train station Tuesday evening and his alleged shover is now facing attempted murder charges, according to the NYPD and sources.
The 24-year-old victim was shoved onto the track bed by a homeless man at the Third Avenue L station in the East Village shortly before 7:30 p.m., police said.
The man who was thrown off the platform was an off-duty cop, according to sources. He suffered pain in his head and body, the NYPD said.
He was allegedly pushed by Aaron Walker, 28, who also fell onto the tracks during the scuffle, sources said.

A judge has thrown out the top counts in Luigi Mangione’s state murder case – rejecting claims that the accused killer can be charged as a terrorist — in a huge blow to prosecutors.
