When President Donald Trump tapped economist EJ Antoni to head the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the elites in Washington clucked their thick tongues. Antoni might have a doctorate in economics, but he’s not “widely recognized”! He’s tweeted some things that turned out wrong! Worse still, he seems to like Trump!
But on Friday, the BLS proved once again why it is in desperate need of an overhaul by an outsider such as Antoni.
When it released its monthly jobs report on Friday, the BLS said the economy had created 22,000 jobs in August – a weak number that generated countless headlines.

The Washington Post has fired now-former global opinions editor Karen Attiah after she appeared to celebrate the political assassination of Charlie Kirk. That comes amid a range of firings across multiple sectors of people who apparently have no self-control whatsoever, nor the common decency to practice it.
Kirk was murdered by a far-left radical who had a "trans-furry" boyfriend while holding an open debate on a Utah college campus. The shooter, Tyler Robinson, fled after firing the fatal shot before his father and a youth pastor detained and turned him in a day later.

U.S. President Donald Trump on Monday said he would file a $15 billion lawsuit against The New York Times, alleging defamation and libel, and calling the newspaper a “mouthpiece” for the Democratic party.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump attacked the newspaper for being “a virtual ‘mouthpiece’ for the Radical Left Democratic Party,” while accusing if of making false statements about him, his family and business, without elaborating on the allegations.
The lawsuit suit was being brought in the state of Florida, Trump said without providing further details.

Esperanza Yanez, an attorney employed by the Nashville Public Defender’s Office, published at least four posts to social media claiming her lack of “empathy” for the assassination of Charlie Kirk was justified by claiming the Turning Point USA founder was a “fascist organizer.”
Yanez first publicly commented on Kirk’s assassination on Wednesday afternoon, only hours after he was killed, when she claimed that Kirk, “said he loved the genocide occurring in Palestine and wanted to see more of it,” before adding an emoji depicting a woman shrugging.

Republican Texas Governor Greg Abbott confirmed on social media Monday that more than 100 teachers in his state are being removed from the classroom.
These educators will lose their jobs, their teaching certificates, and the ability to ever lead students astray in Texas again.
