‘Guess I Was Naive’: Fired MSNBC Analyst
Opens Up On Charlie Kirk Assassination Comments

Original Article

Posted By: franco, 9/12/2025 5:08:58 PM

Fired MSNBC political analyst Matthew Dowd said on Friday that he was “naive” to state on national television that Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk brought his assassination on himself. MSNBC fired Dowd on Wednesday evening after he said that Kirk’s so-called “hate speech” led to his assassination, which sparked intense backlash among conservatives and mourners. The political analyst wrote in a Substack post that he did not expect people to be outraged by him bringing up that Kirk is a “divisive and polarizing figure.”

Comments:

Young people who haven't been around the block are naive, Mr. Dowd. From the looks of you, you're not a spring chicken. That means you're not naive, but congenitally stupid.

Connecting Charlie Kirk to 'hateful words' shows extreme ignorance of Kirk's views, or a bizarre, warped, lunatic definition of "hateful words". Probably ANY words that say things like "trans people are mentally ill" would be hate speech to these crazies, when in the purest scientific fact it is absolutely factual, and not even slightly hateful. Warped, obnoxious, inflexible leftists who just live on pure hate for anyone who disagrees with their political views.....and turns things upside down, calling political disagreement "hateful words". No, they are just POLITICAL DISAGREEMENT>

He said it because it is what he thinks. He said it because he believed that is what MSNBC thinks and espouses. So to him there was no problem. If Charlie was basing a lot of his beliefs on Christian teachings then every Christian is fair and open game.

I'd wager that he never once watched one of Charlie's speeches or podcasts. He drank the leftist Kool-Aid and accepted SPLC propaganda that Charlie Kirk was "hateful" without once questioning its veracity. Then, he mouthed off and tried to justify the assassination of a young man in front of his wife, two children, and parents. Now he's upset that he's been held accountable and has lost his overpaid gig with MSNBC. Well, here's a truth pill: free speech does not mean speech without consequences.

No, you are evil. You are one that could easily man the concentration camps and death camps based on your 'opinion' that those that don't agree with you are not worthy of life. And no, this is not 1930 Nazi Germany. And the main reason is that the population is armed. Not unarmed sheep. When a group of people are threatened, and feel unsafe, they defend themselves. When that group feels that their lives and existence are at risk, they do what it takes to stay alive. On occasions, it manifest as revolution. And we don't want that. Mathew should crawl into a podcast that his hard core leftist will follow and fade into oblivion of history. He has proven that he has absolutely no role in civil society. But he seems eager for a revolution. Sad mean, hateful soulless creature.

The leftists are now spouting the "hate speech" excuse for the murder of a great, kind young man. I never saw Charlie debate someone without using polite, gentlemanly language. Hate speech? I doubt that most who spout this never saw more than a few of Charlie's debates if any. If you want hate speech look at all the media types, professors, ugly purple-haired women celebrating Charlie's death and implying that he "had it coming". The real hate is theirs for anyone who simply disagrees with them.

The left has succeeded in raising generations of Americans who live outside of history. Otherwise, they could never persuade so many people into believing that someone like Charlie Kirk is divisive and extreme. Charlie Kirk spouse, traditional, American values, very similar to those held by John F. Kennedy, a Democrat. The liberals are the ones pushing radical agenda, and who are intentionally dividing America.

When I read this mealy-mouth explanation of why he thinks he was misunderstood, it reminds me of James Comey. No one believes anything that either of them has to say. Just because Dowd hears extreme woke-ism on MSNBC all the time doesn't make it true and doesn't justify what he had to say. He obviously knew nothing about Charlie Kirk except the lies told on leftist media.

No, Matthew Dowd, it is not you being naive. It is during the Obama-Biden administration and the Biden-Harris administrations that the mainstream media was given power and authority. You just thought you were in a comfortable environment where you could give your opinion. You forgot that you are in an institution where facts should be stated. Most of the media shut out the murder of Iryna Zarutska which emphasizes my point how comfortable the mainstream media became with their power and authority. Matthew Dowd naive? For decades, Democrats and Republicans have regularly cooperated to swiftly confirm the many, many individuals selected by each president to serve in their administration. Regardless of the party in the White House, both sides have long agreed that a president deserves to have his or her administration in place, quickly. That doesn’t mean we don’t disagree. But it does mean when nominees are held up, opposed, or blocked—it’s for a legitimate purpose, not for leverage in partisan games, to score political points at the expense of public safety. Representative Jasmine Crockett (D-TX )'s narcissism was on peak display, following the assassination of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk, turning the focus on herself and claiming it's the right that needs to tone down the rhetoric, not those like her on the left. During Crockett's appearance on Friday on "The Breakfast Club," the host asked how Crockett was doing, and she immediately turned the focus on herself. Of course she did. [Note: Her comments in the video below are mostly in the first six minutes.] "It's a tough time for all people in general. But obviously, as somebody who isn't afraid to speak her mind, our country is truly

Florida state officials announced on Thursday that they are monitoring how teachers are reacting to the assassination of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk. Educators could face consequences if they are caught celebrating or justifying Kirk’s death. In a memo sent to school district superintendents, Florida’s commissioner of education Anastasios Kamoutsas wrote, “It has been brought to my attention that some Florida educators have posted despicable comments on social media regarding the horrific assassination of Charlie Kirk.” “These few are not a reflection of the great, high-quality teachers who make up the vast majority of Florida’s educators,” Kamoutsas continued.

In reality, however, the jihad against the U.S. has not ended, and in the near-quarter century since 9/11, the jihadis have made immense gains.

Dr. Anthony Fauci has been asked to return to Congress to answer questions about emails uncovered by Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) showing the former White House COVID-19 czar asking colleagues to “delete” messages, according to copies obtained by The Post. Fauci, who helmed the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases for decades, in two email chains asked other public health officials — including then-National Institutes of Health Director Dr. Francis Collins — to send his emails to the trash bin after reading them. One of the communications from Feb. 2, 2020, revealed the ex-NIAID head imploring Collins to “Please delete this e-mail after you read it”

The suspect alleged to have assassinated Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk has been identified and is in custody, according to the FBI. Utah Gov. Spencer Cox participated in a press briefing with FBI Director Kash Patel on Friday. “Ladies and gentlemen, we got him,” Cox declared. The governor explained that “a family member of Tyler Robinson reached out to a family friend who contacted the Washignton County Sheriff’s office with information that Robinson had confessed to them or implied that he had committed the incident.” Cox further explained that Robinson arrived on the Utah Valley University campus, where the shooting occurred at about 8:29 a.m., in a grey Dodge Challenger.
