California Democrats passed a bill that would ban federal immigration agents and other federal law enforcement officers from wearing masks.
“We’re looking at the constitutionality of it,” Gov. Newsom said in July.
Don't bother looking, governor. Any eighth grader could tell you that a governor can't order federal law enforcement or any other federal official to do anything. This is virtue signaling at its finest, and naturally, Democrats are waving the bloody shirt for all to see.
“We are in a truly disaster of a situation where we have secret police, effectively, on our streets,” said Scott Wiener, a Democratic state senator from San Francisco. Wiener may be familiar to

Add that no politician that supports that gets personal security for them OR their family.

What if they are worried about Covid? What about the rioters who attack ICE agents? Do they have to be maskless too? How about the agents painting their faces in the colors of their favorite teams?

Let's ban them in society in general.

Excellent points, #3! The Circus Clowns have obviously not thought this through.
Perhaps there should be a federal requiring state politicians to wear some sort of "orifice plug" when voting on state laws which seek to pre-empt federal law.

What a joke CA is.
As if any CA LEO is gonna try to enforce this knowing they would be arrested for interfering with Fed LEOs.
Also knowing Gav wouldn't be able to help them.
Pathetic.

Are they planning to arrest those who refuse? That should be interesting.
California believes they have jurisdiction over ICE and other federals. Again, interesting.

An eventual conflict the next time the governor orders wearing of masks in public places.
No matching regulation against masks for activists (like the mask-loving antifa goons)? Did Gruesom Newsom's SF board of stupidvisers all become state legislators?

The state can't do this, and the perfumed prince can't stop it. George Wallace said he would use the state national guard to defy the federal order to integrate the schools. This was 1957 and Ike sent the 101st Airborne to enforce the federal law plus federalized the NG. Maybe the ICE agents would be best to have security in their family's homes, with orders to shoot to kill intruders who threatened to harm them.

They are going to ban Federal Agents from wearing masks? Good luck with that! These prog socialists are literally children. They hold their breath and stomp their feet and scream when they don't get their way. With Trump and Homan, we know how that will turn out.

California Democrats pass laws as easily as they pass gas.
Two passing of remarkable similarity.
Gonna love seeing the fallout if ANY of Newsom's flying monkeys tries to "enforce" their little "law".

Grandstanding. He's working on that name recognition thing. It gets people talking about him. From what I see his ego wants more room. Same old tactics - divisiveness - the demos will never learn and so they will fade away.

One more time. State law does not override Federal law. And in a State that is going bankrupt, cannot manage fire risk, cannot manage energy needs and has a huge homelessness problem they really have more productive things to do.

Is Scott Wiener related to that other Wiener that likes to send picture of his wiener in emails.?
I doubt it , but they sound about the same level of intelligence.
There have always been secret police on the streets of every big city in this country. It's called undercover.

sorry #19 but in 1957 President Eisenhower sent federalized NG to Little Rock. On September 23, President Eisenhower issued Executive Order 10730, which put the Arkansas National Guard under federal authority, and sent 1,000 U.S. Army troops from the 101st Airborne Division to Little Rock, to maintain order as Central High School desegregated.
In 1963, Gov. George Wallace tried to prevent 2 black students from registering at the Univ. Alabama. On June 11, Wallace delivered a speech denouncing the federal government and refused to move until Brig. Gen. Henry V. Graham arrived from Washington under President John F. Kennedy’s authority.

I dare any of you California pukes to arrest Federal ICE agents for wearing masks! I double dare you! Let's see how that works out for you! What we need is a law subjecting feckless politicians to a public auditing of their private finances every year to see where tax money actually goes!

The reason the ICE agents have been wearing masks is to protect their families from being assaulted, harassed, and murdered by anti-ICE mobs fired up by hateful slander by leftists. This would not be necessary If the Democrats stopped stirring up the mobs.
