Culture’ Months Before His Own Assassination

Charlie Kirk warned of a growing left-wing appetite for violence months before he was shot dead. “Assassination culture is spreading on the left,” Kirk posted to X on April 7. “Forty-eight percent of liberals say it would be at least somewhat justified to murder Elon Musk. Fifty-five percent said the same about Donald Trump.”[snip] “In California, activists are naming ballot measures after Luigi Mangione,” Kirk’s post continued. “The left is being whipped into a violent frenzy. Any setback, whether losing an election or losing a court case, justifies a maximally violent response.”Kirk’s own murder elicited heinous reactions from the left, ranging from indifference to celebration.

Tis is absolutely horrible. Our country has gone to hell. The assassin needs to be put in front of a firing squad to remind people that there are consequences to their heinous actions.

I don't know how to react to this, but my first action was prayer. Those who think it futile are truly unaware of the power of prayer within one's own soul. Perhaps this is why we on the Right, home I would guess to the majority of praying Christian faithful, do not resort to rampage and riots. Though at this point I don't know why we are not picking up the jawbone of an ass and going all Samson on the national courthouse steps.

I wasn't around then, but I don't see how the two sides in 1861 could have hated each other more than we do now. And look what happened. They rebuilt a united country, we never will.

At some point, the right is going to pick up arms are respond in kind. Not saying I want this to happen, but you can push some people just so far. If this assassin is never found, then we know he was hired to kill Charlie Kirk.

Any outspoken conservative, any "get out the vote" Republicans are in the crosshairs of the leftist crazies. They do not want Trump or Vance or any conservative in power. I am especially thinking of Scott Pressler who has been so successful in bringing in Repblican voters, just like Charlie did. I hope he and all conservative podcasters and politicians beef up their security. So sad and scary. I've heard that Ben Shapiro has to have a huge security team around him at all times.

Of all Donald Trump’s cabinet picks, it’s Robert F. Kennedy Jr. who attracts the most vitriol, which is saying something. You could see just how much the Health and Human Services secretary is despised last week at a Senate committee hearing when Democrat after Democrat abused him with slurs like “charlatan” and demanded he resign. There is an orchestrated campaign to force him out that includes the overplayed political ploy of an “open letter from nine former CDC leaders” and another letter from 1,000 current and former HHS employees calling on him to step down.
