NEW YORK (AP) — A federal appeals court on Monday upheld a civil jury’s finding that President Donald Trump must pay $83.3 million to E. Jean Carroll for his repeated social media attacks and public statements against the longtime advice columnist after she accused him of sexual assault. A three-judge panel of the 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals rejected Trump’s appeal of the defamation award, finding that the “jury’s damages awards are fair and reasonable.” “The record in this case supports the district court’s determination that the ‘the degree of reprehensibility’ of Mr. Trump’s conduct was remarkably high, perhaps unprecedented,”

Comments:

They also said that Carroll was subjected to ongoing and prolific harassment as a result of Trump’s statements, including a multitude of death threats and other threats of physical injury. Meanwhile, Trump has survived two actual assassination attempts and judges releasing people from custody who are proven to have theatened to kill him.

What was reprehensible about calling an ugly lair an ugly liar? Yeah sure she got assaulted in the changing room at a mall by a well known billionaire no one else remembers being there and no one heard or noticed anything at the time and she doesn't even remember what year it was. Totally worth $83m. But not in this universe.

If indeed it happened and she was raped it certainly would be reprehensible and without precedent. But it didn't happen, she is a liar. She should be in jail for making up a fictional story on a man who wouldn't touch her with a ten foot pole.

The judges never let Trump enter any evidence in his defense. What kind of justice is that? Yet they let this woman tell a made-up story about something that never occurred. She doesn't even know when it was supposed to have occurred and she also didn't make the accusation until many years later when she was trying to sell a book. Anyone with two functioning brain cells knows she is lying and it is a shame that you can't expect a fair trial from a judge who obviously hates Trump.

This is not a rape case, that would mean criminal prosecution and the statute of limitation would apply and rules of evidence. She cannot even state when this supposedly happened. Defamation of character would not apply since she is a public figure. The incident that she claimed happened was not reported to the police immediately afterwards, but she put it in a book she had written in 2019 [she claimed the incident occurred in 1995 or 1996, she doesn't remember]. As a public figure, author columnists, defamation of character can only apply if it was done with actual malice and the speaker knew that the statement was false and disregarded the truth. This cannot be determined 23 years after the claimed incident. Trump's claims appear to be valid since she is a very odd person; lives in a rodent-infested house in the woods with a cat named ''Vagina T. Firefly'' and a dog named ''Tits''. Her book contained a catalogue aria of males who have supposedly sexually assaulted her from the time she was a small girl. Her private life reads like 20 miles of bad road. She has never had a successful adult relationship with anyone, yet ''Elle'' magazine had her as their advice columnist on sex and romance. That's as ridiculous as having Willie Nelson give tax advice. They had to fire her out of embarrassment when learning that their romance advice columnist is a dried-up celibate who hasn't been in a sexual relationship since at least 1995 or 1996. Even worse she is referring to the absurd accusation she made against Trump as being the last time she had ''sex''. Even worse was her appearance on CNN where she shared that she views rape and being ''sexy'' and '' think of the fantasy'', causing Anderson Cooper to quickly go to a commercial break. Actual rape victims do not talk that way. Her idiotic claims are an insult to actual rape survivors.

Of all Donald Trump’s cabinet picks, it’s Robert F. Kennedy Jr. who attracts the most vitriol, which is saying something. You could see just how much the Health and Human Services secretary is despised last week at a Senate committee hearing when Democrat after Democrat abused him with slurs like “charlatan” and demanded he resign. In a dramatic win for religious liberty, Chicago Public Schools have been ordered to pay out over $2.6 million to high school students in a class action religious freedom case. Former public school students in Chicago were required to participate in a Transcendental Meditation™ program during class.  There was no opt-out and no parental permission required. “As part of their in-school curriculum,” attorney John Mauck, partner at Mauck & Baker, explained, “the students were either required to participate in Transcendental Meditation or were deprived daily of a half hour of academic opportunity and made to maintain silence while their classmates focused their minds on secret mantras.”

The word “genocide” is tossed around by Democrats very casually these days, where everything from their terrorist friends losing a war they started to white people eat Chinese food. Of course, nothing these grievance studies major-leftists call genocide is actually genocide – “the deliberate killing of a large number of people from a particular nation or ethnic group with the aim of destroying that nation or group” – but drama queens are gonna drama queen. However, since these “progressives” love to use the word, let’s use it to describe something that is closer to cultural genocide than anything they whine about: the lack of assimilation they insist is “celebrating diversity!”

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has become the rare figure who draws as much raw hostility from Democrats as Donald Trump ever has. That fact alone is remarkable. Democrats once celebrated Kennedy as the scion of a legendary political dynasty. They now treat him as a menace to society. His break from the blue ranks last year, and the populist movement he has built, mirrors Trump’s earlier rebellion against establishment Republicans. That similarity explains why both men are uniquely loathed by Democratic insiders. The fury stems not just from Kennedy’s decision to leave the Democrat party, but from how he left.
