Is FOX News’s remarkable success a positive

The mainstream media, print and broadcast, has largely ignored the fact that FOX News recently achieved an unprecedented milestone in the 75 year history of U.S. commercial television. FOX News not only has more viewers now than the other two mainstream cable news channels combined (Trump Derangement Syndrome channels CNN and MSNBC), but also for the first time is outranking the three major legacy commercial broadcast networks that also suffer from TDS (ABC, CBS, and NBC). As FOX News Media announced in a news release on July 15: During the week of July 7–13, FOX News Channel (FNC) averaged

People see thru the other networks, cable and major broadcast because they have lost their credibility over their hatred for Trump. Fox is not perfect but I think they try to be "fair and balanced" Now if they would just get rid of Jessica Tarlov and Gillian Turner and Juan Williams.....,I wouldn't have to wear out my mute button!

Frankly, I don't want a news source "identified" with Maga. The media should stand independantly and report honestly. Most of the major networks have NEVER really done that. Their creation and growth was linked to government and tainted with that connection. They basked in the reality that "THEY" were the news while government (usually dems) steered and influenced them. That is no longer true. People can get news from numerous sources that stand outside government influence and broadcaster's egos and agendas. Fox is better than the others but it still has its "connections" and "stars" that are there to make themselves look good.

I avoid the alphabet news stations (Jefferson: People who don't read the papers are uninformed; people who do are misinformed) but get my news on Lucianne and Lucianne linked news sources. I only occasionally watch Fox with the exception of Gutfeld who did a great show two nights ago with the best defense of Trump on Epstein I have seen anywhere. News sources have to pass the smell test and there isn't enough Febreeze or Lysol for CNN or MSNBC.

Don't be so hasty in praising Fox. Most of the "stars" are suffering from swelled heads and encourage me nearly every day to switch to Newsmax. Hannity has been insufferable for a long time but Jesse is rapidly getting there. Gutfeld is still the most talented and genuine.

As we've often documented, Democrats have turned gaslighting into an art form, with some of the more notorious examples being Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass denying that any anti-ICE rioting took place in her city, and Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-NY) periodically denying the existence of the radical far-leftist group Antifa. Of all the Democrats who engage in this insulting tactic, Nadler is perhaps the gaslightiest of all of them, proclaiming during a 2024 House hearing on men invading women's sports, for instance, that "men do not compete in women's sports." The latest example comes as violent attacks on immigration enforcement agents have increased by over 800 percent

Russia is talking big again. This time, they're making noise about Kaliningrad. Kaliningrad is a Baltic Sea port city, a detached enclave of Russia surrounded by Poland and Lithuania, both of which are members of NATO. Formerly known as Königsberg until after World War 2, Kaliningrad is seen by Russia as a vulnerable spot, as they have no uncontested land corridor to defend the port. Now, with the NATO nations ramping up defense spending, Russia is playing up any attack on Kaliningrad as provoking World War 3. Russian officials on Friday clapped back at a recently announced NATO deterrence plan

The revelations unveiled by America First Legal mark a seismic moment in the ongoing debate over the weaponization of the Department of Justice under the Biden administration. For years, concerned parents who spoke up at school board meetings found themselves caught in the crosshairs of a federal government wielding its power not to protect free speech, but to stifle dissent. Now, explosive new documents obtained by America First Legal leave no room for doubt: the infamous memo from Attorney General Merrick Garland—which painted parents as potential "domestic terrorists,” for speaking out against COVID mandates, critical race theory, and gender ideology—was not a matter of law or public safety

The joke is getting old, but it is still worth repeating: George Orwell's 1984 was not intended to be an instruction manual. But somehow it is. Freedom is slavery, illegals are "law-abiding," riots are "mostly peaceful," censorship is truth-preserving, and the state should run the media. When I read the liberal media (but I repeat myself), I fear getting whiplash from so much head shaking. The latest insanity that has my neck sore is the media's claim that National Public Radio and the Public Broadcast System not only deserve public money, but that defunding them is a threat to the free press. Secretary of Transportation Sean Duffy has terminated the remaining $4 billion of unspent federal funds for California’s beleaguered high-speed rail project. The move is well justified. In 2008, California voters approved a ballot measure that would allow the state to issue up to $9.95 billion in bonds to support an ambitious plan to build a high-speed rail system. But the state has not lived up to the promises made to its own voters who approved the measure and to the federal government. With a new president in charge and the Department of Justice not looking to give Democrats anymore passes, Sen. Adam Schiff's chickens may finally be coming home to roost. As RedState reported back in 2023, the senator claimed a Maryland home as his "primary residence" on a federally-insured loan document. By doing so, he secured a lower mortgage rate. The problem? He's a politician from Burbank, CA, who would not have been eligible to hold the elected offices he held from 2003-2025 if his primary residence were in another state. Fox News Digital has uncovered damning evidence that the Obama administration deliberately “manufactured and politicized intelligence” to push the now-debunked Russia election interference narrative, despite contradictory assessments from within the intelligence community itself.According to newly declassified documents that Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard released Friday, there’s “overwhelming evidence” that Barack Obama and his national security inner circle went to work immediately after Donald Trump’s stunning 2016 victory over Hillary Clinton. Their goal? Lay the foundation for the Trump-Russia hoax that would consume the nation for years. This wasn’t a matter of bad judgment; it was a calculated operation to delegitimize Trump’s presidency before it even began.
