The Senate has done it—barely. Thune could have fired the damned Senate Parliamentarian, yet he CHOSE to leave a Harry Reid appointee in place so she could GUT this bill by just a wave of her hand, declaring anything she didn't like as in violation of the Byrd rule, 9with little recourse. Apparently Vance COULD HAVE overridden her, but didn't. Perhaps not aware that he could, or unwilling? I think the Deep State RINOs left her in place as the final line of defense against We, the People.

The immorality of our national debt from GW Bush to the present is indefensible. It will take more than one effort to get the debt under control . The first step, it seems to me, is to get the economy growing at a higher than 1.2%. The second step, it seems to me is to halt baseline budgeting. Then there's strp three through ten. We have a mess on our hands and we need to start to fix it.

First, we needed to get the tax issue taken care of. A significant tax increase in 2026 would be a Democrat landslide. And don't expect them to cut taxes. And then we needed the improvements in homeland security. Looks like the bill did those two things. Get it done and get to the next job, which includes spending cuts and a true budget -- no continuing resolutions. New fiscal year starts Oct. 1. Get it done.

Next, the House should take the win and pass the Big Beautiful Bill as is. It will bring great prosperity with growth and tariffs. WE have this majority until Jan 2027 so use it. Trump is a genius and WE are blessed.

The house needs to pass the amended bill, OR just deem it passed as the dim-0s did with obamacare.

20 TRILLION in new debt over the next 10 years. BEST case. Whoever supports this should be beaten about the head and chest with a copy of it till they either see the error of their ways or lung function stops. DC (and yes that includes DJT) never saw a deficit laden, waste our tax dollars bill/law/CR/tax/fee that they didn't get an almost sexual thrill out of foisting upon the tax payers. They have managed to remove even the TINIEST good parts of this monstrosity and will just give you the ol' "Hey if you don't want your taxes to skyrocket, you have to be happy with us bankrupting the Nation.". I hate them all, more and more each day.

There need to be serious repercussions for the evil that Mitch McConnell has perpetrated. Yes, I mean EXACTLY Mitch McConnell. He's the one that poisoned the well after the elections last November. This is all on HIS shoulders. So tired of the evil.

Federal Housing Finance Administration (FHFA) Director Bill Pulte is calling on Congress to launch an immediate investigation into Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell after he was accused of lying to the Senate Banking Committee last week. Powell, aside from being hit with calls for his resignation during a hearing last Wednesday, raised eyebrows by insisting that a bloated $2.5 billion renovation of the central bank’s Washington headquarters would not include outrageous new amenities.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Attorney General Pam Bondi’s recent comments about evidence the Justice Department is reviewing from its Jeffrey Epstein sex trafficking investigation has fueled anticipation about the expected release of more files related to the wealthy financier. But weeks after Bondi’s claim about “tens of thousands” of Epstein videos in the government’s possession, it remains unclear what she was referring to. Here’s a look at some of the takeaways from an Associated Press report about the Epstein case and Bondi’s recent remarks:

I used to work in and around Hollywood, so I know how the game is played and how stars are "made." The majority of supposed "discoveries" are acts that have been trotted out and poll-tested for years, even decades. Teen heartthrob, singer, and actor Bobby Sherman is among the last of true Hollywood discoveries. Sherman was born and raised in the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles in the 1960s.[snip] His face was printed on lunchboxes, cereal boxes and posters that hung on the bedroom walls of his adoring fans. He landed at No. 8 in TV Guide’s list of “TV’s 25 Greatest Teen Idols.”

When people think of American commerce, they think of New York. And when people think of American Jewish culture, they also think of New York, which has the largest Jewish community of any city in the world outside of Israel. But if the polls are correct, New York may soon have a mayor who is an avowed Marxist and an antisemite. (And yes, I equate anti-Zionism directly with antisemitism.)Tomorrow is voting day in the New York Democrat party mayoral primary. This matters because the greatest likelihood is that whoever wins the Democrat primary will be New York City’s next mayor. The chances of a Republican winning, after all, are slim.

Senate Parliamentarian Elizabeth MacDonough, a Harry Reid appointee with a selective interpretation of how the Byrd Rule can be applied to reconciliation bills, has been doing the bidding of the Democrats in ruling that major provisions of President Trump's "One Big, Beautiful Bill" are subject to the Byrd Rule and therefore are ineligible to be part of a reconciliation bill. That means that, according to MacDonough, those provisions have to go through the normal Senate process and need 60 votes for passage instead of a simple majority.

Pity poor Jaguar. The British-based luxury and performance carmaker has had a rough go of it this century, but nothing could prepare anyone for the most bone-headed move in corporate history — and I don't mean Jaguar's woke "Reimagine" ad from late last year. Let me bring you up to speed. As recently as 2018, Jaguar sold 180,833 cars annually. Last year, they sold fewer than 33,000. In April — the most current sales figures available — Jag sold just 49 cars in the massive UK/Europe market. U.S. sales figures aren't available yet, but they aren't any better. Jaguar went from selling 1,961 cars a month to 49 in just six years.

The Democrats are now implacably self-destructive. They resemble nothing so much as a slowly capsizing ship, but show by their frenzied skullduggery that America is not in decline -- the opposition is rotten and hopeless but it still fights savagely. I hope readers will pardon a recitation of the party's gradual floundering. They pushed the nation into Vietnam, mismanaged the war, and deserted their own president (Lyndon Johnson), and when President Nixon saved their war, they crucified him on what can now be seen as the utterly absurd Watergate nonsense.

Is he antisemitic or just pro-Palestinian? Is he anti-ICE or just pro-immigrant? However, one thing seems to be increasingly clear. Mamdani is a serious Marxist and that should concern anyone in New York City.
