Fox Business host Charles Payne tore into people taking advantage of the Biden administration’s decisions to defer or forgive student loans Monday, saying it was time to “pay your damn student loans.”
The Department of Education announced it would resume collections on delinquent student loans, ending a pause from the COVID-19 pandemic that the Biden administration sought to continue, The Hill reported. Payne expressed little sympathy for claims that forcing borrowers to repay student loans would cause them financial hardship.

Financial hardship? Well, yes. We put four through college and thought at one time we might have to dig roots to eat but we paid for it including one loan that we paid back. This may end up teaching students that it's better to defer buying those concert tickets or taking that nice little vacation. so you are able to make your payments

Get the government out of the loan business. Sale the loan paper to a bank or other private institution. Let them handle it.

Obama nationalized student lending, and that was about the last time any of the borrowers paid anything on their outstanding loan. That was the plan all alone, to make college education free.

Most of the things people are supposedly taught in “higher” education have no real value in making life productive or helpful to others. A social science PHD professor likely would beg to differ. Reading "The 100 best Books ever written" would be a better investment.

I agree heartily with #3. Is Henry Potter still running his bank? Let him collect.

I paid back every dollar of my student loans over 40 years ago. I was married with three sons while trying to obtain my bachelors degree. I completed my degree in 1983 and managed to pay my last payment the month before my son's student loan came due. They are all now paid back. And my wife and I celebrated our 56 wedding anniversary this week.
If you take out a loan for anything you better be prepared to pay it back.

Congratulations, #1 and #7. Your responsiveness to pay your obligation no matter what it took is a sorely needed lesson many of our young need today. Our family did very much the same.
It is why I don’t want any exceptions made for certain majors or circumstances. I don’t care if it’s nursing or women’s studies. If you took out the loan and signed the paper, you gave your word you would repay. Some valuable and difficult lessons now await a great many of those who thought they were off Scot free.

PS
While I was working on my degree I was working full time as a deputy sheriff in Laramie County, Wyoming. After I obtained my degree I was a Wyoming Highway Patrol officer for 15 years and Chief Ranger of Wyoming State Parks for 19 years. Along with my time at the Sheriffs Office I completed 38 years in law enforcement. All after serving 9 years in the Navy Seabees.

Charles Payne is a jewel. He always tells it like it is. With 3 young kids, my husband was the only one working. We did without a lot, but I took my time getting my degree, and we didn't owe a penny when I was through college and got my degree. We were brought up to believe you paid your debts, and you didn't spend more than you made.

My daughter-in-law has a full time teaching job yet has a second job to make extra money to pay off her student loan. I appreciate her work ethic and attitude. Not all these young people are useless.

Maybe those same students with worthless degrees need to file a class action lawsuit against all the woke Leftist Universities for Failing to meet their responsibility to actually educate students...Smells like massive FRAUD!

I believe the term for those who want hardworking taxpayers to repay their student loans should be, DEADBEAT ELITES. Those who spent their college years partying need to pay up.

You or your parents, signed an agreement repay these loans. If you were stupid and wasted it on a worthless degree or lived large on this money, that's on you.

“pay your damn student loans.”
Absolutely! Let this be life lesson #1…signing on the dotted line has consequences. You agreed to certain terms and put your signature on it. That has substantial meaning in the real world. Consider it a wake up call.

It's a JOKE to many! I know several first hand examples of how students waste money on THEMSELVES via the latest Apple gadgets, Peletons, concerts, and ALWAYS OUT having a good time they think they DESERVE ! Obama & Biden encouraged this irresponsible behavior knowing how difficult it would be to end this "everyone deserves free college" boondoggle. Of course it was also designed to provide more clueless airheaded liberal protestor/voters as well. Most of the degrees are for more DEI administrators always needed for research studies to show how minorities are perpetually mistreated. Enough is enough !!! MAGA

Back in my day, banks used to loan money for college to parents, not students! obama screwed that up when government took over loans and as Charles said, "cut out the middleman." It was done on purpose, and the purpose was to have young people starting out beholden to benevolent government who screwed them in the first place.
