The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), then led by former Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas under the Biden administration, reportedly declined to “respond to the scene” in late 2022, when law enforcement stopped a vehicle driven by Kilmar Abrego Garcia, the Salvadoran national deported last month by the Trump administration. The Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) told The Tennessee Star last week that officers with the agency detained Abrego Garcia for nearly two hours. During that time, he presented an expired, Maryland driver’s license that permits illegal immigrants to drive within the state, and was discovered to be transporting eight passengers.

Willful defiance of the immigration enforcement by the DHS under the Biden term on full display. How much more crime did he commit after that 2022 incident?

This Maryland Dad" is actually a MS13 El Salvadoran human trafficker, for certain. And probably did violent crimes, too, like other MS13 criminals. He was here illegally, and committing endless crimes. Glad that he is out of the country. We need more of his kind gone.

Mayorkas belongs in prison; just pick one of the crimes he committed. My opinion.

The Star has done a reporting job done by no other media. I wondered about3 days to drive from Houston to Maryland. This article explains what was really going on. The circuitous route Garcia travelled ad why. While holding Garcia and his 8 passengers for 2 hours, Tennessee law enforcemenl contacted FBI who told therm to release everyone in the car. There is evidence that DHS was also contacted. Excellent reporting I haven't seen anywhere else.

One quetion. Tennessee stopped him, they did what they could to find out what was going on. Now the question> They just let him drive off with an expired driver's license that was no good outside the state of Maryland and drove off with the 8 people still in the van with him?

Tom Pappert, lead reporter at The Tennessee Star, suggests the Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security appears to be prioritizing federal interests and Biden-era policies over state enforcement or transparency as it slow walks two Open Records Requests filed by The Star seeking materials related to Kilmar Abrego Garcia, the citizen of El Salvador who was stopped by Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) in 2022 and deported by the Trump administration last month. Last week, The Star was the first to report that Abrego Garcia was suspected of being engaged in human trafficking by THP officers who detained him

Kilmar Abrego Garcia, the deported El Salvadoran at the center of the Trump administration’s immigration battle with the courts, was stopped by police in an SUV owned by a man who was himself deported after pleading guilty to smuggling illegal aliens in 2020, according to court and Homeland Security Department intelligence documents reviewed by Just the News. These new details follow Just the News reporting last week that Abrego Garcia was flagged in 2022 by the Biden administration as a “suspect alien” who was possibly involved in “human smuggling/trafficking” after a traffic stop in Tennessee raised the suspicions of a state trooper,

The Tennessee Star on Tuesday obtained the final deportation order issued by former U.S. Immigration Judge David M. Jones in 2019, which also granted “withholding of removal” relief, showing the judge appeared to prohibit immigration authorities from deporting Kilmar Abrego Garcia to Guatemala, not to El Salvador, where he was born and remains a citizen. According to the order, Abrego Garcia was given a Notice to Appear (NTA) on March 29, 2019, after the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) alleged that he is not a citizen of the United States, but instead “a native and citizen of El Salvador,”

On a cold, windy day with a small group of spectators watching from behind barbed wire, Joseph Robinette Biden Jr. swore another in a long series of false oaths before his motorcade passed between a long row of soldiers with their backs to him looking outward for threats. No inauguration has been this empty in a century of American history. And at no inauguration have the spectators been outnumbered by a raw display of armed force. American presidents have been inaugurated in wartime and during actual national emergencies with a better turnout. Through world wars and wars on terror,

Like most of what ails us today, the seeds of the current crisis in republican governance — the severance of Washington’s omnipotent law enforcement and intelligence apparatus from democratic accountability — were sown in the 1960s and ’70s. That was when we began to erase the salient distinction between law and politics. Under the guise of “national security,” we insulated governmental actions and policies from the reckoning of our citizens, whose safety and self-determination hang in the balance.Fast forward to 2020. The FBI, in its bungling partisanship, very likely swung the 2016 presidential election away from its preferred candidate, Hillary Clinton.

Michelle Obama is finally revealing why she missed President Trump’s inauguration in January. The former first lady broke down the “hard” decision on the latest episode of her and brother Craig Robinson’s “IMO” podcast. She called her headline-making choice the “right” one despite public “ridicule” while chatting with Taraji P. Henson. The 61-year-old explained that she “basically tricked” herself into not attending the ceremony by making sure she did not “have anything to wear.” Obama recalled, “I was like, if I’m not going to do this thing, I’ve got to tell my team. I don’t even want to have a dress ready, right?”

A former senior adviser to Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth who lost his job last week amid an investigation into press leaks from the Pentagon — pointed the finger in a different direction during an interview with former Fox News host Tucker Carlson. Dan Caldwell, who has been placed on “administrative leave,” told Carlson in the interview released Monday that the Pentagon is rife with opponents of President Donald Trump and his administration’s goals. Those are where the leaks are coming from, he said. But there’s a “less obvious place” that’s a possibility, he suggested. And he named one name that shocked viewers

When now-Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson stated in her confirmation hearing that she couldn't define what a "woman" is, that probably should have been treated as a bit of a red flag. That would have required the Senate to have any sense of shame, though, and we all know that's long been in short supply. Since joining the Supreme Court, Jackson has become perhaps the most reliable left-wing vote on the court. There is no level of partisanship she won't stoop to in order to defend a Democrat viewpoint, and that was on display again in recent oral arguments surrounding parental rights.

On Tuesday, Crockett (D-Texas) told Kimmel in an airing of “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” that she would go toe-to-toe with the 47th president in order to prove that she has a high IQ. “He also called you low IQ, I’m sure you’re aware of that. Would you be willing to take an IQ test publicly head-to-head against the President of the United States?” Kimmel asked Crockett. “Absolutely!” Crockett responded.

Conservative Christians have flooded social media with support for Cardinal Robert Sarah to succeed the late Pope Francis because of his strong traditionalist stands on sexuality and church doctrine as well as his opposition to mass immigration and Islamism. Why It Matters The rising profile of the African cardinal, 79, comes at a time of ideological division within Catholicism, as the Church grapples with questions of modernity, sexual identity, and religious pluralism, and also as more right wing political movements in Europe and elsewhere have challenged what they see as the orthodoxy of a liberal global elite. Unlike Pope Francis—who often leaned into progressive stances on social justice and inclusion—
