A far-left pastor of a Florida United Methodist Church lit a candle wrapped in barbed wire in honor of accused MS-13 gang member and alleged wife beater Kilmar Abrego Garcia during his Easter Sunday service, saying the United States government “kidnapped” him.
The sermon was given by Rev. Andy Oliver of Allendale United Methodist Church in St. Petersburg, where he compared the El Salvadoran illegal alien to one of the criminals who were crucified alongside Jesus Christ before his Resurrection:

This is all you need to read:
(FTA):
“ The Methodist church also takes part in LGTBQ pride, with the official page posting church members posing with drag queens at such events:”

When my wife's Methodist church was debating disaffiliation, part of the debate was monetary. How could they afford it? I fed my wife the question to ask them: "How much is your soul worth?" They decided their souls were worth however much money it took, and they broke away from UMC. Idiocy such as this article depicts illustrates the wisdom of our local little congregation.

The man has gang tattoos on his fingers and has admitted in a letter he's a gang member. What is this outpouring of sympathy for the man. He's also a wife beater. That alone should imprison him for life.

Your evil will chastise you,
and your apostasy will reprove you.
Know and see that it is evil and bitter
for you to forsake the Lord your God;
the fear of me is not in you,
declares the Lord God of hosts.

The United Methodist Church is no longer a church. It is a cult that has created its own Christ and its own gospel, and it calls evil good and good evil.
The Lord forced us out of there in 2015, way past when I knew we should leave. But it is hard to walk away from people who had become my family and to give up on a local church that you have loved. So He made it abundantly clear, finally, and I realized that I was never a true Christian until I heard true teaching. So I couldn’t be more grateful, and I pray not one ldotter continues to attend one of these places. Seek the Lord where He can be found.

As usual, and particularly on Easter, we spoke about, sang about, and worshipped the Risen Lord, Jesus Christ.

I probably would have been long gone from this leftist, political church but, if not, this would have had me standing up and walking out. My church pastor has been preaching in my church for 12 years and I cannot tell you whether he votes Republican or Democrat. He avoids politics because that is not what his ministry is about. That is how all pastors should preach. When pastors start bringing politics into the church, the Devil is surely at work.

Thank you, #10, that’s exactly my situation. Please pray for my daughter Truly [from “Truly, truly I say unto you…” from Scripture. She was raised in a family who’s mom, me, found Christ after a job interview to be Art DeMoss’ Executive Assistant in Paoli PA, where he started Church of the Cross, and later was invited to Lynchburg VA to address Liberty University’s senior class one graduation morning years ago. His daughter is Nancy DeMoss.
My daughter here in CA has a daughter Providence 9, and a son, Amias, members of a Methodist ‘church’ with two gay women ‘married’ to each other…
Heaven help us…

Methodists are so lost. There's a church near work that has outdoor signs in the stolen rainbow colors - that detract from the cross. This church also regularly puts up signs on its property during the Muslim holiday, which read: "Blessed Ramadan!"

I grew up attending a United Methodist church in small-town Maryland in the sixties. Good minister, wonderful congregation, fond memories of all the weekly associations with the other families. Fast forward to two years ago: I was back in town and happened to drive by on a Sunday morning. The parking lot had very few cars, so I decided to pull over and watch the service let out. Twelve people plus the minister exited. Very sad, but not unexpected.

I was raised Catholic, and many decades ago our family moved from a heavily Catholic area of the country to one with a Protestant majority. The Methodists among them liked to propound the notion that Catholicism was a cult. Odd cult it is... 2,000 years of lineage dating right back to the Apostle Peter. And no, it's not perfect and it's got its share of problems. Still, I wonder what those Methodists think of the UMC today...

A good friend of mine is a devout life long Methodist. The congregation he belongs to has cut ties with the main Methodist church since it went off the rails.

Obviously, the Methodists in St Petersburg don't give rat's ass about Christ nor his disciples, comparing him to a wife beating, drug running, murderous MS-13 member!

It is not just the United Methodists, also the Presbyterian Church of the United States of America (PCUSA). Like the Methodists, many Presbyterian congregations are being held captive by the PCUSA denomination through the use of the "trust clause."

Is there anything sadder than a "man of God" whose primary agenda is not God? This guy wins for appropriating Easter, if there's such a contest. (And it looks like there might be.)

I will pray for your daughter, #16.
A few years ago the UMC i grew up attending appointed a man who lives with his male partner in the parsonage. Thankfully my very elderly mom and dad understood they could not attend any longer. It was so hard after 60+ years. It’s nearly impossible to find a church in their area that teaches truth, but i think they finally did. It’s now too physically difficult for them to attend in person, but that’s where livestreaming is a Godsend :)
