Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) said Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union” that Congress had to take away the tariff authority from President Donald Trump.
Warren said, “It is a mistake to have the President of the United States out there just playing red light, green light and saying, oh, this morning I woke up and think the tariffs should be this big. Now, I think they should be this big; now, I think they should be somewhere else. And I got to say, saying, well, I will continue to make those decisions and I’m going to hold off on these tariffs for 90 days,

OP's comment says it all, except to add that Pochantis is the Queen of the Morons. Which is saying quite a bit!

Two months ago the brilliant Harvard “perfesser” didn’t know that a tariff was a thing and not a person… “ like maybe an actor… you know, like Omar Tariff.”

Campiaign funding raising rhetoric. Nothing more. Lieawatha has been looking more and more unhinged lately. And knowing that a burned out hippie commie and a blubble-headed bartender have stolen Lieawatha's national stage, what choice does she have? Th Dems have a power vacuum and all the usually little people are trying to position themselves and the next great Naci Piglosi or Chuckles Shumer.

Hey, Lizzie. You were mighty quiet when Brain Dead Biden was signing all of those bills that he had not read nor understood. Must have been hibernating. Just stay out of it. You are a disgrace.

Congress….has done so poorly in budgetary processes, in immigration, in control of drugs….they surely do not deserve another responsibility to screw up.

Sounds like a great plan. Instead of leader to leader negotiations let’s put the Congress Critters in charge, where many have their finger firmly in the Chinese pie. Democrats do not represent the US, regardless of how much schoolteacher garble Warren spews.

And what would the Fake Indian do regarding trade? NOTHING, except collect their kickbacks. The headline says Congress wants to take away Trump's tariff authority while the quote says it has already been done. That's confusing. Which is it?

With acknowledgment to the Chad Mitchell Trio, reminiscent of another famous Elizabeth -
Elizabeth Warren took an ax
And gave the Constitution forty whacks
And when the job was nicely done
She gave American citizens forty one
Cause you can act a fool from Massachusetts
And blame all the problems on the GOP
You can shout from the stage with Bernie and AOC
And admire the socialists you’d like to be
Yesterday in the Senate Chamber, Lizzie spoke her mind
And proposed more solutions of the crazy kind
Some folks said “She’s off her meds”
Others said “She’s totally dense”
But we all agree that Lizzie, she
Is a nutso without sense
They call her Pocahontas for her genetic claims
I say she’s a publicity seeker and she has no brains
But we all must endure her
Until Massachusetts throws her out
Will that ever happen?
Of that I have great doubt.

Elizabeth Warren needs to read the organization chart of the USA. The Executive Branch is in charge of commerce not the Congress. But, the democrats have been working hard to dunb down our citizens via the school system and they are not teaching kids Civics anymore which covers the structure of our country. We can;t let them near our schools.

"Senator Warren admits that the President has total Tariff Authority, and only combined acts of Congress could remove that power", which would require 60+ votes in the senate to accomplish. (Fixed the headline)

I suggest that Sen. Liawatha (D-Taxachusetts) demand an "oversight" hearing, at which she will be humiliated and schooled by Trump administration officials who understand the separation of powers in The Constitution.

"The Congress shall have Power To lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts and Excises [e.g., Tariffs]..."
U.S. Constitution, Article 1, Sec 8. Congress delegated certain authorities relative to trade duties, imposts, and excises (tariffs) to the president, even though there has long been debates, including within the Supreme Court about the non-delegation of expressly enumerated constitutional powers. For example, a president would not likely delegate his Article II Commander-in-Chief power to Congress without major pushback from the Judicial Branch. Sen Warren is among the most contemptible humans in government but the Constitution says what it says, which was agreed to by the states and can be amended as needed if the political will is present to do so. It is up to the People to regulate their senators and representatives, something that has been done increasingly poorly over time.

There is no way that this Congress would take tariff authority away from Trump. Chances are if that was tried that Trump would veto any such effort. Sounds like Pocahontas was talking through her war pipe!
